Can her love save him from a curse worse than death?

Romance author Simone Kent thinks she might just have found the most perfect guy in all of New York City - in bed and out.

But Drake Parrish is about as far from perfect as any man can get. Eight years ago, he was cursed by an evil Voodoo priestess to live part of his life as a zombie. Since then, he has lived like a recluse on New York’s Upper East Side, afraid to go out for fear he’ll suddenly turn into one of the walking dead.

The sex is the hottest either of them has ever experienced and Simone discovers just how naughty she can be with Drake, while he finds himself feeling things for Simone he hasn’t felt in a very long time. When the Voodoo priestess learns of their relationship, however, she comes after him again. She's determined he won't have a future with Simone, even if that means killing both him and the woman he loves.

4 Stars!! Unique and creative spin on a zombie romance!!

Drake Parrish is not quite a zombie. Cursed by a Voodoo priestess in retaliation for breaking her granddaughter’s heart, or so he’s led to believe, he morphs into a partial zombie; his skin changes, his heartbeat stops, and then he switches back to his normal human state after a couple hours, a few days a week. While he’s not a full blown meat-muncher, his zombie looks are enough to send anyone screaming. Eight years of this agony and no hope of breaking the curse, has Drake living like a hermit, locked away in his Manhattan apartment, until he crosses paths with romance author, Simone Kent.

I thoroughly enjoyed the first half of this book, it was loads of fun. I felt for Drake as he tried to work around his predicament, having a normal life again, or as normal as he could considering his dilemma. His best and only friend, Beck, encourages him to pursue a relationship with Simone. Initially I was not a fan of Simone. Her constant use of the word ‘pussy’ had me wondering if I missed reading somewhere that she had a cat!! No, she was referring to herself and her constant state of arousal. It got old after a while. Her first sexual encounter with Drake was undoubtedly scorching hot; he was scrumptious, and laid down some heavy lovin’ on her. However, it seemed to go on and on, and I started to skim. I was beginning to wonder if the sex-capades were going to take over the unique nature of the read. I wanted more of that fun and sweet that was in the beginning of the book, and thankfully the sex-fest was just a bump in the road and it shifted away from the bedroom antics and back to the zombie fun. The excitement kicks in again as the Voodoo priestess resurfaces and Drake and Simone find themselves on the run.

There was something for everyone in this book; a scrumptious hero, a brave understanding heroine, who eventually won me over, passionate sex; the author definitely knows how to steam up the pages, witty dialogue, some laugh out loud moments, and a surprise twist at the end. There are also some great secondary characters! Beck was fantastic, he was funny and a good friend to Drake, I would love to see him featured in a book. This was an amusing, exciting, sweet unique read!! Despite a few issues, I found myself totally engaged and would recommend this to readers who love zombies, romance and sexy good times!

I have been waiting for the last year to read Dead Sexy by Paige Tyler. When I saw the words Zombie and romance in the same sentence, I knew this book was for me.

And all I can say…IT WAS SO WORTH THE WAIT.

Dead Sexy was one of the most unique and original storyline that I’ve had the chance to read. There was plenty of intrigue, passion and just enough humor that it didn’t become campy.

Now… I do feel I need to say…. if you are excepting anything similar to The Walking Dead TV show, then this book isn’t for you.

The type of Zombie that our hero becomes isn’t a mindless, flesh eating zombie, his zombie -ness was brought on by a curse placed on him by a pissed off Voodoo priestess. You see, Drake Parrish was a man whore, who just used women for his own pleasure, but he made a mistake by bedding the wrong young woman a few weeks ago and now her aunt is going to teach him a lesson. Drake is doomed to live out the rest of his life, half man and half zombie.

The catch, Drake never knows when he will enter his Zombie state or how long it will last. He becomes a recluse, locking himself away in his apartment, away from the world. His only friend the Private Investigator Drake has hired to find the priestess in hopes that she will remove the curse and he can have his life back.

It’s been 8 years with no luck, when Drake meets Simone Kent via computer. She is a highly successful romance writer that has a bad case of writers block. Her agent gave her Drake’s name, stating that he was wonderful at helping authors. They strike up a beautiful online friendship. I love the back and forth dialog between these two.

Simone hasn’t had much luck with men so she surprised herself by asking Drake out for coffee and to her delight, he accepts. Drake himself is stunned that he accepted, but he can’t deny to pull Simone has on his soul.

The connection between these two wonderfully crafted characters was awesome. The moment they meet, you can’t help but rooting for them. I loved how we were allowed to read both Simone and Drakes point t of view, how they felt and what their struggles where.

After a successful first date, they both agree to a second one, the next night. This is where things start to SIZZLE!!! The phone call between Simone and Drake that evening was one of my favorite parts of the book. The dialog was witty, clever and ever so hot.

As our two lovers grow closer and closer, you can’t help but wonder, when is the ball going to drop and Simone discover the truth. When it finally happens, you can’t help but have you heart break for this beautiful couple. By this point I had completely fall in love them both.

And just when you think you have got this story all figured out, Paige Tyler throws in a few twists just to keep things interesting. I’m good at figure out storyline and I didn’t even see this one coming.

BRAVO Paige!! You kept me guessing until the very end.

This highly anticipated book did not disappoint. Zombies are the craze at the moment and while you don’t typically think of zombies and romance Ms Tyler not only mixed a perfect blend of the two but also sprinkled in plenty of humor and lots of erotic lovin.

Eight years ago Drake Parrish was a piranha in both business and with the ladies. But his casual love em and leave em caught up to him and he found himself cursed by a voodoo priestess forever to live half as a zombie and half as a man and forces him to go into seclusion.

Simone Kent is a romance author. She’s never been lucky in love herself but writes very steamy novels. When she finds herself with writers block her friend suggest she contact a consulting editor which so happens to be Drake Parrish.

The book blends so many different facets. The paranormal aspect of the voodoo and also of Drake’s only friend Beck who is a PI and has other dealings with other worldly things besides Drake, the coming together of two lost souls who complement each other and the final showdown at the end of the book that had a bit of a shocker surprise.

I highly recommend this book to anyone looking for something fresh to read. The author took a risk in a rarely written about theme in the romance world and knocked it out of the park.

5 STARS

I have to say Paige Tyler knows how to write a book about a sexy zombie. Hot sexy Drake Parrish fights is inner zombie in this combination of paranormal, romance with a pinch of suspense DEAD SEXY is a great mix. A bonus no brains were eaten! Doesn’t mean other things weren’t, Ms. Tyler gives a whole new meaning to being eaten by a zombie in these steamy scenes.

Simone Kent, author, has writers block when her friend suggest using a consulting editor, Drake Parrish although reclusive he was the best. Reluctantly Simone gave it a try to her surprise she and Drake hit it off. When Simone asks Drake for coffee he is stunned. After 8yrs of hiding he’s not sure what to do but with the helping hand of his best friend Beck he takes the chance. Drake is only a zombie part-time the problem is he just doesn’t know when it will happen.

Unfortunately Drake and Simone’s happiness is short lived when the walking dead arrive!

I have to say that we are definitely given a new idea of what sexy is in this new take on the zombie world and I loved it! If they could all be like Drake Parrish, I think I would be just fine with a zombie invasion!

Once again I wish Goodreads let us give half stars because I'd say this book was more like 4.5 stars.

The author had a unique idea for adding zombies to a romance while keeping the book very focused on the romance. I enjoyed it very much.

Humorous, original, and sexy as all get out.

Ms. Tyler has written a book unlike any thing I have ever read before. She has taken the Voodoo zombie curse and turned it into something rather different. Take Drake. He's a strong alpha male, but he has a bit of a problem, he might just turn into a zombie at any given time. He angered a Voodoo priestess and she cursed him with this half life. He becomes a shut in because he never know when he'll “go all Zombie”. This premise intrigued me. I had to know how he and Simone would ever meet if he wouldn't leave his apartment.

Simone is a erotic romance author who has basically been sucked into to a romance novel. Not literally but that's how it seems. Drake's turned her world upside down and not just in the bedroom. I know what you're thinking -- sex with a zombie? But really, at points you totally forget about Drake's “condition” as you're swept up in the story. Drake, however, is a worrier so it's brought back to the forefront again and again, as Ms Tyler keeps you wondering if he's going to suddenly “go all zombie” on Simone.

This story had a lot of build up in the beginning. But it's needed for the reader to understand what's going on and how Drake ended up the way he is. Ms. Tyler seems to have a perfect knack for knowing when to drop a piece of information in your lap to move everything right along. She also has an interesting sense of humor, which keeps her characters witty and the repartee flying between the characters. The secondary characters are wonderful as well. With excellent timing they help Drake and Simone figure out what's going on and what they have to do to “cure” Drake.

Ms. Tyler has weaved a complex and original story full of action that will keep you flipping pages. This book is full of twists, turns and an ending that will leave you blown away.

I settled in bed and read this book in one go, it has romance, sexy sex scenes especially the phone sex!! Testing situations for a new relationship oh and did I mention our heart throb is a part time zombie!!

Drake was cursed by a voodoo priestess when he was selfish and a womaniser and since then has become a recluse not knowing when he will turn, he works as an editor, writing columns and helping authors when they get stuck. he accepts a new job helping Nicole edit her book, she's a well known romance novelist who's in a writers funk, and they get along famously on line and he agrees to meet her for a coffee. His every woman's dream guy and she's a mans wish come true. It's not long till they know they can't resist each other! If only was that easy.....she has no idea his a part time zombie, how will she react?

Beck is Drakes only confident and has been keeping him sane while searching for a cure for his condition.

There aren't lots of characters in this book, which I think works well as it means you get to see the main characters relationships develop and grow,

This book will keep you hooked with the story and strong characters and the hot/Hawt bedroom scenes, Drake is a sex god, but Nicole is no shrinking violet!!

An enjoyable read, worth picking up.

A 3.75 star read from me rounded upto 4 as I read it in one go.

This was a really fantastic read! It was my first zombie romance but definitely not my last! Since I’ve been a fan of this author’s for a while now I knew I would get a good story but I’m not sure I was expecting to love it this much. It reminds me a little bit of Beastly, mostly just the curse part, but she really makes it her own and does a great job of it! I was hooked from the very first page!

Drake was the biggest prick EVER in the beginning and I really wanted to hate him forever for how he acted! He was a total womanizer and was only after two things in life. Money, which he has lots of and women, which he also had lots of, until the curse. See, he’s totally awful! But then he’s hit with the curse and makes a total turnaround. I’ll leave out the details so I don’t give everything away but let’s just say he went from asshole deluxe to quite possibly the sweetest guy ever! I fell in love with him right along with Simone, who was a pretty great heroine! She’s a romance author, of course I love her and she was the perfect match for Drake!

This was a fun read, very sexy with plenty of action and suspense. I’m always impressed with Paige Tyler’s books but this one is my favorite! I really hope she decides to write Beck’s book because I am DYING to read it! ;) (Hint, Hint).

This story is full of suspense, action, humor AND romance...a powerful combination! I really loved it....couldn't put it down (read it in one full day and night). I think Paige Tyler's writing style has "nailed it" with this story and deserves every award and good review it has received thus far. It's a story about Drake, who has a less-than-admirable past and because of it was cursed by a Voodoo priestess--which may seem unbelievable by a new reader gazing at book summaries and blurbs--but the author's descriptive and emotional writing will make a believer out of the reader. In fact, it seems all too real, thrilling and fearsome at the same time. Then along comes Simone who, not knowing Drake's past and curse, falls in love with him. How they deal with their attraction and passion while dealing with the curse and frightening zombies is a tale well worth reading. A reader won't regret getting this book and I definitely will be reading more from this author.

Oh this book is dead sexy for sure. I am going to be short and sweet with this review. I'm going on no sleep for almost two days... Reading can do that to you. Drake Parrish has a voodoo curse on him from doing the naughty with a voodoo priests granddaughter and leaving her high and dry. Tsk tsk Drake. Simone Kent is an author that has hit a dry spell and she needs inspiration. After eight years of living like a recluse, Drake and Simone's paths cross.

Does Drake and Simone deserve their happiness? Voodoo granny doesn't think so, and she goes after them both! Oh my!

The sex in this little number is yummy! The book is very well written. Also, it's nothing like I thought it would be. I thought zombie: oh flesh eating, mindless person, but it's far from that.

4.5 stars out of 5. Grab it! You will enjoy it. It's interesting and will keep you pulled in all the way to the end!

Dead Sexy by Paige Tyler
I received this book in exchange for an honest review by the Author and the “Lovers of Paranormal” Group on Goodreads.com
A wonderful book which details the blossoming romance between Simone Kent, a romance author and Drake Parrish, a part time Zombie. This book is rich and descriptive. It is a well crafted story with plenty of suspense, adventure and a generous helping of lust and hot sex scenes which unfold in a smooth and effortless manner. The writing is descriptive and flows well, and the characters are well described. I absolutely fell in love with the host of characters, my favourite being Beck. This is a unique and creative spin on your typical Zombie book, which any lover of paranormal and romance books will thoroughly enjoy. A very entertaining read from a talented author, which I absolutely loved.

I read this wonderful book in one night! That's saying a lot for me. I don't usually read fast. It generally takes me at least three days to finish a book this length. I just couldn't seem to put this one down. I was completely enthralled by it. I literally got no sleep the night I took this book to bed. I finished reading around 5:45AM and found myself still wanting more.

The only issue I have with this book is, I was ready for the next one before I even closed the back cover! I absolutely loved it.

This read was HOT from beginning to end and I will most definitely be looking into other books by Paige Tyler!

Eight years ago, Drake Parrish was a rising star at a swanky Wall Street brokerage firm. He had it all, money, power and any woman he wanted. What he didn't have was a moral compass. He was a first class butt munch. Enter the Voodoo priestess who teaches Drake that if your conscience is dead, then the rest of the man should follow, at least part of the time. Now Drake is a recluse and except for his friend Beck, has very minimal outside contact. When you never know when the ol' zombie curse might kick in, better safe than caught out in public with sunken eyes and putrid skin.

Simone Kent is a best selling romance author in a dry spell, both in her career and in her social life. She thinks she's hit the jackpot with Drake. That is until she is thrown into a real life Night of the Living Dead scenario. The question is, will her burgeoning feelings for Drake outweigh the fact that every three days or so, Drake has no heartbeat and looks like a train wreck victim?

This was my very first zombie book. I was amazed at the growing trend of zombies as protagonists and had pretty much avoided the bandwagon. Then I happened to stumble across a blurb for Dead Sexy and thought "Hmmm, sounds interesting". Then I read an excerpt, then a snippet, and before long I was a Drake stalker. I had already claimed Drake as my new BBF before I even started the book. Man, oh man! The hype for this book was right on the money. Sometimes in an erotic romance, you get a lot of graphic sex with very little or no story, minimal character development and it has a tendency to leave me "meh". In Dead Sexy, there is just enough hot, steamy sex to qualify it as an erotic novel, but what sets it apart is the story. Absofreakinglutely riviting!

Going into the story, I was already protective of Drake. Despite his misspent days as a jerk, he was still an incredibly sympathetic hero. I was on the look out for Simone to screw up. She turned out to be a stand up kind of heroine and in the end a very open minded woman. Even though she did find it necessary to ask Drake if he ate brains. (I found this to be a very prudent question.) Then there is Drake's one and only friend, Beck. Now that Drake has his HEA, I may just have to turn my romantic radar in his direction. He was just so cool and laid back about everything. I just know there is a mountain of passion under that calm exterior. Kudos to Paige Tyler for crafting a wonderful book that breaks the mold for smelly, brain eating zombies and made them into something droolworthy and Dead Sexy.

Zombies and romance! Who knew they could be sexy hot? Paige Tyler that's who. This story was packed with romance, action, sweet loving, suspense and originality. I really liked this one!

Drake Parrish is an arrogant playboy who messes with the wrong girl. His punishment is to be cursed to live the life of the undead; part-time that is. Once a top dog of Wall Street, now he lives the life of a recluse working from home as a consulting editor.

Simone Kent is a successful romance writer suffering from the dreaded writer's block. Following the recommendation from a friend, Simone seeks Drake’s help. From the start there’s a spark between them, although they’ve only been in contact via email. When Simone learns that he too lives in New York she takes the leap and asks him out on a date. After some encouragement and pushing from his only friend, Drake accepts.

It’s been EIGHT years since he’s been in the company of a woman. The spark that started in the virtual world only ignites in person. However, his time with Simone is limited when he can go full zombie at any moment.

Dead Sexy was so much fun to read. I really hated to have to put it down when life’s responsibilities nagged at me. I’d say Drake learned an excellent lesson during his eight years of abstinence. Not only did he learn how to treat and appreciate a woman, he damn well learned how to romance one too. Simone may have found the perfect man. But, can they have a future when she learns of his part time undead status? Oh and there’s also this vindictive Voodoo Priestess and her zombie horde that won’t let Drake have any chance of happiness whatsoever. To protect Simone and have a shot at a future, Drake needs to defeat the Voodoo Priestess once and for all.

Add this one to your TBRs people!

Wow, what a ride! This book is so amazing, I just finished it and already want to read it again...while waiting for the sequel 'fingers crossed' to this book of awesomeness!

Hmm, where to start with my review... Well let me start by saying, Paige Tyler you've hit the mark with this one and then some! Your characters were spot on...their personality, their responses to each and every situation was absolutely brilliant. The storyline was brilliant, the flow from beginning to end magnificent!

This book kept me on the precipice of the most wonderful book adrenaline rush I've felt in quite some time, and I really didn't want it to end! I will not go into telling you about parts of the book, cause it deserves so much more. This book deserves to be read from the first to the very last page! I, as a reader will tell you this... I can't stand Zombies, I've never read about Zombies (until now)... I went to the movies with some friends and didn't know which movie it was until it started playing...I almost got up and walked out cause it was 'Warm Bodies', I'm that opposed to Zombies! With that being said, this book is not what you may think and it will surprise & amaze you with the twists this book will take you through. Don't cheat yourself out of an awesome read just by what you think this book may be like, cause you will be wrong! I know, I almost did it to myself but I read a lot of Paige's books and have not been disappointed thus far. After reading this book, I'm now more than ever convinced that Paige Tyler is one of the best authors in the genre areas she writes and will continue to support her by buying every book she writes!

Congrats to you Paige, you've won me over again!!! :)

Wow! This is the first book I've read from the author and it won't be the last!

I've read excerpts and snippets from some of her other books and knew that her stories were hot, but I wasn't prepared for how hot. I'm talking practically panting along with the main characters. It was a sexy sex fest and I loved every minute of it.

Paranormal romance is my all time favorite genre to read, but until I read Dead Sexy I had never read a book about zombies before. I was hesitant because I thought nothing could be sexy about a zombie stud. I was so wrong. Drake is a part-time zombie and he is absolutely yummy. His character was my favorite. It was nice to see the womanizing wall street guy turn into the sensitive, non-narcissistic romance novel editing man. It was really unique and refreshing because no man I know would be brave enough to do that, let alone read romance to get to know the genre for work. Simone is a great character too. She's feisty and knows what she wants. I loved that she was a big time author and met Drake through her books, especially since he had already read her books. Drake and Simone have chemistry that really flies off the charts.

The book was not only romantic, but was very suspenseful, action packed, and erotic at times as well as the obvious magical and paranormal aspect. I love that it's set in New York, but the bad lady is a Voodoo priestess. There was a dash of New Orleans in the story and it was a really nice touch. There were also hints of dry humor here and there that made me laugh and love the story even more.

I will definitely be reading more by Paige Tyler! :)

When the two words “romance” and “zombies” are used to describe a book, what is one to think? For me, after reading Dead Sexy, my thoughts were a whirlwind of “wow”. Paige Tyler made this work. With a great blend of mystery, intrigue, suspense, and action, and not to forget the love scenes, Dead Sexy kept me going long into the late hours of the night. The hair on the back of my neck stood, and chills ran down my spine. This book took me by surprise at how much I enjoyed it.

This book somewhat reminded me of Beauty and the Beast. Drake, of course, resembles the Beast, as he was cursed eight years ago, and changed his life. He became a loner and hid himself from the world. Simone, a published romance writer, enlists his help by the recommendation of someone, and the two meet and begin dating. Simone is unaware of his curse at first, until the Voodoo Priestess that cursed him catches wind of Drakes new found happiness.

I love how new themes and story lines come into the romance genre all the time. There's always something new and exciting to read. I never thought I would enjoy a romance book so much that involved zombies, but I did. If you're looking for a different read, filled with adventure, excitement, and chills, then give Dead Sexy a try.

I thought Paige did an excellent job in creating a unique storyline with plenty of romance, intrigue and a bit of humor. The book is definitely a keeper for me, definitely a book I will read more then once. I really don't want to spoil the story but Paige did an excellent job with Drake Parrish, he was an awesome character that learned from his mistakes and became a better person.

What a surprise! I read this as part of the Tall, Dark and Paranormal anthology. This is my first book by this author and I really enjoyed it and that is saying a lot because I do not read anything about or including zombies in a book. This has a different spin on a different type of zombie, who happened to be the hero of the story. A fun paranormal romance that does have a HEA that satifies.

I received this book in exchange for an honest review from Lovers of Paranormal and the author.

I liked this book. It was the first zombie romance I have read and it won't be the last.

I loved the beginning where the author explained how and why Drake was cursed by a voodoo priestess. At the beginning of the book, Drake is a selfish, self-serving, womanizing jerk. He only cares for his own pleasures and does not care who gets hurt in the process. The book starts out with Drake who is a financial analyst having a meeting with some clients. The meeting is interrupted by a woman who throws what appears to be dirt on him. Unbeknownst to him, he had been cursed by a voodoo priestess to randomly turn into a zombie. The reason he is cursed is because he used and abused a relative of the voodoo priestess on a bet.

He eventually notices a skin discoloration on his neck and goes to the hospital, but they are no help. As a last resort, he seeks out a voodoo shop where the owner tells him he is a zombie and the only way to break the curse is to find the one who cursed him and to get her to remove it. He is fired from his job and becomes an lonely recluse in his apartment.

The story jumps forward eight years later and Drake has become a consulting editor for authors. Beck is his only friend and a Private Investigator he hired to find the voodoo priestess who cursed him. Beck knows his secret and saved him from going off the edge. He hates his former self and regrets what he has done.

The heroine Simone is a romance author who has been hit with writers block so her agent suggests she contact Drake for help. She does and they start instant messaging back and forth. Simone then asks him out for coffee and they meet in person and hit it off. They then go out to dinner. On the third date, they have dinner at her place and then jump into bed together. Here is the only part of the book I had a problem with. There did not seem to me to be enough build up in their relationship. I like it when the hero and heroine get to know each other more before jumping into bed.

It is at this time that the voodoo priestess discovers that Drake is happy and sends zombies after him. They hide away in a cabin - it is here that Simone discovers that Drake is a zombie. Her reaction is understandable, but I still wanted to slap her. Drake was so despondent and sad thinking that she would never accept him. Eventually, she comes around and realizes she does not want to throw away a good thing.

The end of the book features a big confrontation in New York where secrets are revealed and the HEA occurs. I will leave it at that. I don't want to spoil the story for future readers.

I received a copy of this book from LoP in place of an honest review.

When I seen the cover of this book I knew that I had to read it. The guy is just too sexy and when I read the title I knew that it held a big mystery and I just had to read the book to find out what it was about. Zombies aren't usually my thing. I just can't see myself making out with one.

Drake Parrish used to be a womanizer and was after making more money every day on Wall Street. He used women for sport or to win a bet. That is what got him into the mess that he is now in. He had a one night fling with a evil Voodoo priestess's granddaughter and didn't know it. She put a spell on him to make him becoming a zombie several times a week. Now he can't do what he usually did and it also helped him take a look at himself and he realizes that he needed to change. So eight years later he stays in his apartment and only has one friend who is his PI and the people that need his help writing their books.

Simone Kent is a romance writer and she sure does know how to write hot and spicy scenes. Now she is in a funk and doesn't know how to get out of it. When her editor gives her Drake's card and tells her to contact him for help she doesn't want to. She feels like she will be cheating. When she finally gets him to meet her face to face she can't believe how sexy he is and she wonders what is wrong with him that he is still single.

This book was well written and had a great storyline. I don't normally follow zombie books but he isn't a zombie all the time so I decided to read it. It had spicy sex and just enough mystery and suspense to keep it going until the very end. I was hooked and I didn't want to ever get done with this book. I just got so pulled into the lives of Drake and Simone. I could just imagine everything that was happening to him. I hated thinking that a man this good looking could change into something that makes a normally person lose their food just looking at them.

I would tell everyone to read this book and as long as you love paranormal you will love this book. It just has the added touch of zombie to give it that extra spice.

I was given this book in exchange for an honest review, Lovers of Paranormal.

A very well written book with nicely formed characters. The plot line moves along nicely but seemed to have a few extra snippets thrown in at the end. Simone having voodoo priestess ancestry just seemed a bit too convenient there at the end.

I realise that vampires are 'old hat' now and we have all read and taken on board all the various vampire lore and reading about a zombie is unexpected but I just couldn't accept what I was reading. OK Drake sounds lovely, the reformed bad boy, even if not his choice but due to a curse, with the perfect body even if it does 'die' every few days. This was my problem - how did his body die and his heart stop every few days only to just start up again a day or so later? With no heart beat, no blood circulating, how would his internal organs, arteries and veins been in a condition able to cope with the restart? OK overthinking I know but the questions running through my head stopped me from totally enjoying this book.

I would recommend it be read by people who do not need to know the ins and outs and will just sit back and a enjoy a good read.

After waiting what seemed like forever, I finally got to read this awesome zombie book! Equal parts sexy, zombi-rific and original, this is not your usual chomp em up and spit out a new zombie kind of novel. Nope. This is a guy with a bit of a rotting curse problem after tangling with a really pissed off Voodoo priestess. Yes ladies, our hero Drake gets his comeuppance after wandering from one too many beds and now that he has met his dream girl, he is now half man and half zombie. Kind of rots for him. (lol) He never knows when he will turn and pretty much locks himself away.

Simone is a romance writer with really bad luck with men. After connecting with Drake online, they meet and things progress to a sexy interlude that takes things up a notch.

What I loved about this story was the twisting and turning plot-I didn't see the ending at all! Great story and a super sizzle on the sex scenes! Thank you for making a zombie hero that has a heart and doesn't necessarily want to eat the heroine for lunch.

This was a quick, cute lighthearted read about a romance writer that falls for a recluse zombie. There is humor, action and some spicy sex scenes. At times it felt that Dead Sexy wanted to be an erotic book and at others a paranormal book and the pacing was a bit erratic.

The characters are relatable and true to character. I especially liked Simone, who is independent, capable and strong. Drake was also convincing as a terrible womanizer forced to evaluate the important things in life; once his old life is gone.

My favorite part of the book is Drake and Simone’s initial introduction via email and messenger. The instant banter between these two is obvious and Tyler’s writing is her best when she is focused on the witty dialog shared.
Overall, a good read by a new author that I believe has tones of potential. I’ll definitely be checking out her X-Ops series, which is her newest work.

I LOVED THIS BOOK; author Paige Tyler knocks this one out of the park. You have never read a zombie book like this one. Imagine a story about a romance writer who gets help getting over her writers block by a consultant who has a very big secret. Once you start reading you won't put it down till you finish it. Believe it or not this is a love story with some of the most beautiful, romantic and sexy love scenes ever and that happens before they ever touch each other; just imagine how good it gets when they do. I don't do spoilers, but I will say that Dead Sexy is not your Walking Dead kind of story, it has a little bit of everything with the most unusual, unexpected story line ever. You get some paranormal horror, a little black humor, intense sex scenes, and a wonderful love story. Did I tell you that I LOVED THIS BOOK, well I'm saying it again. Paige Tyler writes terrific stories and this one is no exception.
