Rosetta Alvez is a romance novelist….The problem is she’s a little short on romance of late.
Ten months ago, Rosie was dumped in spectacular fashion when she turned up to her own wedding minus a groom. A bad case of writer’s block leaves Rosie heartbroken and humiliated with her publishers bearing down on her and she has to get out. She’s needs inspiration and decides to look for it on the other side of the world.
With best friend Pippa in tow, Rosie sets off for three weeks in Thailand in search of sunshine, relaxation and inspiration. But she gets more than she bargained for when she runs into the arrogant Jackson James, a travel writer with a lust for life and beautiful women.
The perpetual bachelor, JJ refuses to get close enough to anyone to fall for them, but Rosie has him hooked from day one. He fights an internal battle daily between the growing feelings for the beautiful red head and his decision to never settle down.
Will Rosie ever find the inspiration that she’s looking for? Will she get her man? Only time will tell which side of Jackson will win.
I’m Cas... a mother, a wife, and a writer, amongst many other things. I’m from Birmingham, England but now live in South Derbyshire with my family. I’ve been writing for as long as I can remember but I first published a book in 2012, and my author journey has been a hell of a rollercoaster since then. I write because I love to write, but also because I love to read. I adore the way a book can take a reader away from reality for a while, and I want to be in the driving seat... I hope you’ll come along on a journey with me soon.

This is a really good book!! Being a hopeless romantic, I had no trouble at all getting lost in this story! I enjoyed the plot very much and loved the characters.
James: the term 'man whore' comes to mind.. Especially after having him say: "..my bigger picture is that there are a lot of places to see and a lot of women to sleep with". *sigh* Thankfully, throughout the book, he definitely becomes very swoon-worthy so I guess I pretty much forgave his whorish ways and added him to my long list of book boyfriends.
Rosie: getting dumped on her wedding day?? I mean, common Michael!! You prick!!! This girl has in a sense, shut down.. And can you blame her? Having your fiancé criticize your every move constantly and then leave you on the day that's supposed to be magical? Damn. Rosetta is truly a strong woman, hurt obviously but strong nonetheless, very witty, a bit sarcastic and quite funny.
Pippa: Rosie's very open minded best friend. Funny as hell!!! She does NOT beat around the bush, nope, she gets down to the point and speaks her mind. Love her!
Rafe: A wonderful, protective, and sexy big brother. Knows Rosie like he knows the palm of his hand. And then we have Mathew, Rafe's boyfriend. He's very hot!! And a total romantic! Love these two! Such a beautiful couple.
Something I really enjoyed about this book was the relationship between these characters. Rosie and Pippa have the "we're not just best friends, but sisters" type of relationship going on and the way the author describes their interactions is very realistic and natural. There's also Rosie and Rafe. They're not just siblings but best friends.. I mean, Rosie is a very lucky girl! To have these two in her life. All the characters are very funny, natural, down to earth and very relatable.
The way this book was written is a plus for me. The scenes and places are very well described which allows the reader to picture things clearly and feel a connection not just with the story but with the characters as well.
Something in the story line that intrigued me was how Rosie and James' characters always connected.. even before they met. I found that aspect of the book to be very well written.
Finally, I have to mention the sex scenes!! My oh my.. Can you say... steamy!!??? Cause they sure were! Pure hotness. Props to the author!
Overall this was a really good book.
4.5 stars!
I want to thank the author, Cassandra Lewis, who gave me the unique opportunity to read and review her books. Thank you!!
There are quite a few genres I love to read. However it feels like quite a while since I've sat down and really enjoyed a well written romantic story. Until now. This was a really brilliant read. I ended up reading this in one sitting. Rosie and Jackson are lovely characters. I was so rooting for them to get their happy ever after. Cassandra did a really great job with this story. I loved everything about it. The storyline, the characters, the different points of view-it was all great. Am gonna go now jump into book two.
This book could not possibly be further from my usual book genre if it tried but I read the blurb and thought why not give it a try - I wasn’t disappointed! There was plenty of romance and excitement but the right amount of tongue in cheek humour and Thai culture to balance any cheesiness which I normally associate from this kind of book. I actually felt connected to the characters and eager to see how it ended so I read it in a day and it was the perfect antidote to a miserable, rainy English Saturday. Would definitely recommend.
First of all I need to tell you that I AM a hopeless romantic and I love a Happy Ever After! I didn’t think I was going to get it with this book as it doesn’t start looking like a romance story until about 30% of the way in. However, saying that, the book captivated me as I was lead into the lives of Rosie and Pippa and oh what fun they have!
I would love to have a friend like Pippa she is a wild child at heart but she loves Rosie unconditionally and won’t let anything happen to her. The two of them get up to so much fun and I felt jealous because I wanted to let my hair down and just be them!
During the book you get a good understanding of Rosie and the people around her and how much she is loved and you can see that she is a huge romantic and wants the whole “knight on a white charger” to come along. I think during the book she realises that this might not happen, but she is still willing to give it a go, even though she believes she will get her heart broken!
Jackson’s character is the typical “man whore” who gets captivated by Rosie, but he doesn’t want to admit it to himself. He is funny as they originally antagonise each other and it is hilarious to see the “banter” between them.
Cassandra Lewis’s style of writing is easy to read and funny. There were a lot of laugh out loud parts in the book. She has researched Thailand, including the places, the people and the foods etc so that as a reader you can just picture yourself being there! She is very descriptive but at the same time he reader is not inundated with information, it is drip fed into the story beautifully!
I am in anticipation and, I suppose, in some trepidation to read the next two books as I’m wondering where Cassandra Lewis is going to take us with these two books after the ending in the Meeting Mr Write. Saying that, however, I am going to start book 2 now (Me and Mr Write) and hope to finish that one in the same time frame (5 hours)!

This is a great book and glad I had an opportunity to read this story. The Author Cassandra Lewis wrote with emotion and made you believe the story.
Rosetta is a romance novelist, but she was a little short on inspiration and was having a hard time finishing her book. I am sure part of it had to do with her fiancé’ Michael not showing up to the wedding… What an Ass, right? Apparently her publisher Francesca wants a finished manuscript in 3 months. Sure, why not, that’s easy peasy right? So this is where the story starts, with Rosie trying to find the inspiration and not be down on herself and worry about making a fool of herself after being dumped.
Her best friend Pippa is there to help Rosie along and take her on a Holiday to help get her back on track. Hoping this will help relieve her writer’s block, but also will allow them to have a good time together. Pippa is a hoot and is open while not being afraid to say what’s on her mind. She is hilarious!
Jackson, who is a travel writer and thinks he is God’s gift to women which just means he is a total man whore. He does have confidence that is sexy as hell and makes you want to drop on your knees and obey his every word. DAMN…yeah, he got to me!
Wow, the sexy scenes between Rosie and Jackson were hot. It was supposed to be sexy, but it was funny too. I cracked up laughing listening to them talk to each other during the moment. It was totally HOT and fun at the same time.
Damn this story got to me. I love romance just like the next girl, but this was fun to read! I look forward to the next part of this story! Thank you Cassandra for a great book!
Well... I was recommended these books from somewhere on Twitter and thought id purchase and give it a try and boy was i not dissapointed. This book was amazing, it captures you straight away and once it does your hooked, i cant remember how many times i have read this book but it is deffo more than once.
I love how you can read it from both Rosie's and Jackson's points of view and you always know who's point of view you are reading it from. It takes you to Thailand and with the descriptions you hear about the surroundings you can picture yourself there and wish you were there, like reading a postcard.
I recommend this book and both 'Me & Mr. Write' and 'Marrying Mr. Write' to all my friends and i hope everyone enjoys as much as i did. When reading it after making my own dream cast they are all i picture when reading about each character and i feel that brings the story to life more.
So if you are hear to see what the book is all about i suggest you get reading because you will not be disappointed :D
I wasn't sure what to think about this book at first. It was offered on my “Free" list so I thought I'd give it a shot. I'm glad I did! At first it doesn't seem like a love story, and honestly the beginning had me doubting if I should read it. I'm not your typical hopeless romantic hoping for the hearts and flowers ending. I kept reading on and then BAM! All of a sudden it captured me and I couldn't put it down! I'm through the moon that it's a trilogy and can not wait to read more about Jackson and Rosie's story! I'm kind of leaning towards the hearts and flowers side now. Thanks for the good read!

I put this one off for a while and I fully regret it. Jackson was a jerk, but had his moments and you just could not be mad him. Poor Rosie, history of heartache while tasked with the role of romance author.
I am so glad I gave in and read this book. Couldn't put it down. It was full of wit and romance.
Enjoyable first book...a few curve balls mixed in to try to change up the book from a typical romance novel...good introduction to the trilogy looking fwd to seeing where it leads
I love a great romance story and this one has everything I'm looking forward in any new book. From the first chapter, I was drawn into the story of Rosie as a romance writer and how sometimes, a writer block can be so frustrating but luckily her friends are there to save the day and they all embarked on a beautiful holiday in Thailand.
The sights, the food and all the beautiful sensations are felt throughout the pages, while Rosie and Jackson find their way into each other's souls.
The banter, the chemistry and steamy scenes are greatly done here and the heartbreaking and angsty moments aren't missed either.
I'm so looking forward to the next books in the trilogy because I'm hooked and need more of these characters and their love story.
I really enjoyed this storyline and the fact it was based in Thailand. Although it was 'smutty' and not my usual read, it didn't have me cringing. It was written as a story (the build-up to the deed) rather than other things I've read in books. I tend to squint when it's awkward to read, but I didn't whilst reading this.
When I started this book I really didn’t like Jackson, he was arrogant and self centred and the chapters from his perspective really highlighted this. As time went on I started to warm to him though and was willing them to be together. I’m curious as to how the story can spin out for another 2 books but am looking forward to finding out.
The is the 1st and without a doubt certainly not the last book I will read by the fabulous Cassandra P. Lewis. I absolutely fell in love with Jackson and knew all he needed was the right woman and my god he found it in Rosie! This story is a page turner, from start to finish. You know you’re reading a good book when they make you feel all the emotions from happiness to pure rage at the characters! Cassandra is a talented writer and I can’t wait to read more!
When I first started reading these books I felt like I had stolen 2 people’s diaries. All three books read from both Rosie and Jackson’s point of view, which by the way I loved! Only thing I would suggest is pay attention as the book doesn’t tell you when it switches from Rosie to Jackson, I had to go back a couple of times.
Rosie is a very loveable character. She’s a typical girlie girl who wants every relationship to be the most romantic thing it can be. But she has insecurities and trust issues, you find out a few things that cause this in book 1 but the whammy is kept for the other Books. That being said she’s a girl that speakers her mind, and if something pisses her off you WILL Know about it!
As for Jackson, I have a love hate relationship with this guy! In fact he’s kinda like Marmite, you’re either going to love him or hate him! Me, I couldn’t make my mind up with him, I hated him more than I loved him in this book and I think for legit reasons. One minute he’s an ass and then next he’s breaking my heart with his sweetness (he knows how to pull the heart strings ladies) He’s everything that Rosie isn’t, you got it, he’s a typical lads lad, one night stands, different girl every night, call you later but never does!
This book had me laughing out loud, yelling WTF at quite a few moments and then sobbing my heart out, on a packed train to London might I add, thanks for that Cassie! It’s fun, sassy and kept me reading into the night. A recommended read to all.
Absolutely loved this book and cannot wait for the next one! Rosetta was stood up on her wedding day by Michael (who sounds like a narcissistic control freak) and then a few months later due to writers block she decided to go on a holiday with her best friend Pippa to Thailand. Jackson James is drop dead gorgeous and a very successful travel writer. The only problem is he’s a ladies man who never even bothers to remember rhe name of his latest conquest never mind spending the night with them nope monogamy is not for Jackson he loves the single life. That is until a meeting with his publisher causes him to bump into the fiery red head who has gotten under his skin from one chance encounter. What are the chances that they end up on the same flight to Thailand. The setting is the perfect place for a holiday romance but as a romance writer Rosie is looking for her prince charming and she knows Jackson is too much of a bachelor to be her happy ending but there is no denying the sexual chemistry between them. This trip is just what Rosie needs to get over her broken heart and her writers block but will Jackson help or hinder with this. Beautiful storyline with beautiful settings and I cannot wait for the next book.
I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
I enjoyed “Meeting Mr. Write”. I was really excited to read that the heroine was a romance novelist. I love it when the characters have something to do with books. It helps me to relate to them even more. Poor Rosie has lost her writing ‘mojo’ after being jilted at the altar. JJ is a typical man whore. I found myself chuckling while reading this book. I found JJ to be arrogant and kind of selfish. He didn’t seem to care about the feelings of those around him. He did have some redeeming qualities, but I’m not big on the whole sleeping with a different partner every night. Rosie is a romantic. I loved that she still believed in love and was looking for true love. Pippa was a hoot. I loved her free spirit and unwavering loyalty to Rosie. I loved the dual POV’s and that it left you with a happy feeling. No cliffhanger here, just room for more.
I loved the story of the arrogant man and timid girl who in so many ways every girl can relate to as we all want to be loved!! I loved how Rosie has managed to get under his skin and soften him in a way that terrifies I read the book In 3 1/2 hours (personal best for me)as I think I slightly fell in love with Jackson and could not stop reading!!! To say this book is enthralling, leaves you needing more is an understatement I would highly recommend this book and have to all of my lovely bookies
This book was fun and sexy. It was well written, but at times I would get confused about whose point of view I was reading. The characters had great personalities that I think lots of people can relate to.
Rosie is a romance author who is recently dumped. Her and her best friend Pippa take a trip to tailand for a vacation. There she meets fellow author Jackson. Rosie doesn’t give him the time of day at first but then slowly let’s him in.
This book is great and not a super long book if you are looking for a shorter series. I suggest you check this book out. It was sweet and sour with a dish of sexy!
First off I love Romance books. Rosetta is a writer and has writers block after being left at the alter by her fiancé. So her and her friend Pippa decide to take a vacation to help her sort her head out. In comes Jackson the HOT handsome man who wants Rosetta. I will let you take it from there as I so not like to spoil things for others. This book has humor live and everything you are looking for in a book Kathy Coopmans Panty dropping Book Blog
Meeting mr write by Cassandra P. Lewis. This is book 1 of mr write trilogy. Wow. I do like my romance books. This was a brilliant read. I loved the story and characters . Although I didn't like Michael at all. Jackson and Rosette were my favourite. Pippa and Rafe and Matthew I also loved. My favourite part was the karaoke part. You could feel the sizzle between Jackson and Rosette. Wow can't wait for book 2. 5*.
This is such a great story. It will keep you entertained from the first page and trying to guess what Rosie will do to get her life back. The story is well written and flows well. I did notice a few grammar mistakes but not enough to take away from the story. I loved it and such a fun story. This is a first for me from Cassandra P. Lewis and I can't wait to start Me & Mr Write.
Rosie and her best friend Pippa go on a girlie trip to help Rosie to relive and also help get her romance writing mojo back. Meeting Jackson a travel writer and womanizer will change the trip. You will get lost in this book and wanting more. Cassandra P Lewis is a amazing author, you will not regret getting lost in this story.
What can i say ? My friend Keren liked this book on Facebook, and she has good taste in books so i immediately got it. This book is fantastic. What i loved was that it is so different from most romance novels. Once i started reading i couldn't put it down and now i finished i need to read the next one.
I tried, made it to about 70%, but I just couldn't do it. Story was predictable, I enjoyed the descriptions of Thailand! Characters were ok, but Rosetta was not my favorite character. Again just my personal opinion.
Well Mr Write.. I wanted to hate you and your ego instantly but through the book like Rosie I too ended up swooning. Highly sexual content which means I can't reccomend this to my mum but definitely will to all my friends. Now of to read the next instalment
