MacDonald provides a theoretical analysis and review of data on the widespread tendency among Jewish-dominated intellectual movements to develop radical critiques of gentile culture. These movements are viewed as the outcome of the fact that Jews and gentiles have different interests in the construction of culture and in various public policy issues (e.g. immigration polic ...more

I've always been open to many facets of the JQ.
but this volume was eye opening on so many levels.
It was a difficult read, not because it was hard to comprehend. It was difficult to finish because at the end of each chapter I would sit there.
Thinking about all that I have just read, completely dumbstruck, connecting the dots between jewish activities 50-100 years ago, and what we are seeing in the world today. The information contained within caused me to explore other books and in the end it to

Horrible book
a totally 2002 rendition of Elders of Zion
This book is 804 pages of utter antisemitic garbage with all its traditional anti Jewish stereotypes
All Jewish conspiracies are fully described in this hate manual like Jewish economic supremacy,Hollywood/Media domination,Israel lobby and foreign policy,'Jewish tribalism' etc
Crux of his argument though lies mainly in so called prominence of Jews in dictating US foreign policy and apparently this bloody racist 'author' professor MacD hates an

Well researched and disturbing analysis of Judaism from an evolutionary perspective.

The first paperback edition includes the issues of 'Jewish involvement in Communism, the emergence of the Holocaust as a central cultural icon in Western societies, Jewish involvement in the US media, and the role of Jewish organizations in censoring the Internet'.

MacDonald's work is an enlightening exposé regarding Jewish influence in 20th century anthropology (via the Boasian 'school'), psychoanalysis, leftist
This book really brought the racists, White supremacists, anti-Semites (especially them) and anti-Immigration reviewers out in force hitting 5 stars almost every time. I would like to use Kevin B. MacDonald's own words and 'accomplishments' to illustrate this review because if you do not know where the author is coming from the book will not make sense. (As one reviewer said, "it's an updated Protocols of Zion.")

"In 2010, MacDonald accepted a position as one of the eight members of the board of

Stupid unsubstantiated load of crap. Seriously what starts as what appears to be a well reasoned look into the Jewish people quick devolves into an alt-right justification for antisemitism. Seriously if you think Jews control the world and that the nazis started something good you'll love the book for the rest of the population that isn't antisemitic just avoid it all together. I wish I could get my time back from reading this book.

Fear-mongering baloney aimed at white people that aren't really certain if "The Holocaust" happened. At first I was confused as to why this academic book was being hailed as "literature of the highest degree," but then I understood: MacDonald was writing the fantasy novel that's trapped somewhere in his head. This book is a fictitious farce.

Interesting read

“In this regard it is interesting that many neoconservative Jewish intellectuals in the contemporary United States have rejected corporate, statist ideologies as a direct consequence of the recongintion that these ideologies have resulted in corporate, state-sponsored anti-semitism. Indeed, the beginnings of the neoconservative movement can be traced to the Moscow Trials of the 1930s in which many of the old Jewish Bolshevisk, including Trotsky, were convicted of treason. Ever wonder why all the Jews didn't emigrate to Israel, their own ethnostate? Or why and how Jews decry racism while founding the Jewish ethnostate on institutionalized apartheid, and get praised for it? Whether or not Jews really have a disproportionate influence on the media and government, or as opinion-makers in academia?

Superbly documented and revelatory. The most important book combining ethology, evolutionary theory, and politics of the second half of the 20th century - indeed, one of the

An extraordinarily enlightening book that started to reshape my worldview even as I was still reading. The chapter on the Jewish leadership of the Bolshevik movement in Russia was eye-opening. I had never made the connection between the revolution that led to the deaths of twenty million people, being led by Jewish radicals who were tired of state-sponsored antisemitism. This was the opposite of how I'd always been taught history, and the books I'd read, in which Jews are always the victims, not ...more

This is one of those books that will change the way you interpret everything else, specifically the political and social changes of the last 100 years. MacDonald explains to the reader that recent developments in fields ranging from psychology, economics, politics, and immigration policies are not part of a conscious conspiracy by Jews to undermine gentile society. Jews are, however, grossly overrepresented in all of these endeavors. MacDonald demonstrates that these Jewish social scientists, po ...more

The reflective, Stalinist hole in Isaac Babel's little head remains macabre albeit less shocking than it did revisiting his tale on Maupassant some Christmases ago. You see, the taboo is perpetually dealt and yet remains just as perpetually imperceptive despite its indefinite recurrence, viz. taboo-for-itself. Once one can deconstruct the trepidation with which one hovers over taboo without ever landing so as to embark on an authentic, linguistic deconstruction, so one is always at odds with mer ...more

I was worried that, since I already know so much about the topic of this book, that I would not enjoy reading it at all. Was I ever wrong. Kevin Macdonald's academic vigor is a wonder to behold, and his well-sourced arguments are so air-tight that the only way you could not acknowledge their being truth is if you were too afraid to admit it and the implications.

The very last chapter is one of the best "Why did the West fall?" discussions I have ever read in anything, ever. The whole book is wor

In 'The Culture of Critique', Kevin MacDonald does an extensive analysis of the roles of Jews within political and intellectual movements in the 20th century, with pretty damning results. These results reflect the subversive and destructive nature that Jews have had using their vastly over represented power (when accounting for their population size) within the media, Hollywood, the realm of politics and the educational system.

I was somewhat surprised by the unscientific constitution of the psyc

Super fascinating look at Jewish influence in politics, culture, and academia throughout the last 150 years or so. I'm not sure why people are calling it antisemitic, rather I think it stands to a testament to the Jewish people. It is remarkable the amount of radical and culture changing ideologies that have been spear-headed by Jewish people in gentile nations, which isn't a bad thing at all. I, for one, am pretty glad things have changed socially since the 1850's.

'This is, after all, in the dictionary definition of the term, an anti-Semitic book. Its entire argument is that the Jews, collectively, are up to no good. This may of course be true, and MacDonald is entitled to say that the issue of whether his results are anti-Semitic is nugatory, from a social-science point of view, by comparison with the issue of their truth content. I agree with that, too: but given the well-known history of this topic, it seems singularly obtuse of MacDonald not to try to ...more

Academically inept. Lack of control factors for said hypothesis and a shockingly poor understanding of historicity and basic sociological interpretation. Where's the peer review? Where's the minority comparison? Where's the biological fluency?
Poorly cited.
I'd give it a 2, but it merits a 1 for the fact that it tries to masquerade as academia. This wouldn't be credible even in non-jewish circles. It was a fast read however. I don't condone it's being banned and it was inconvenient to get a copy (

Why is it that only white gentiles can be vilified, critiqued, and criticized in our politically correct world?

I read. Actually I read a lot. I grew up in Southern California, and was a hard core left winger after getting my degree in Economics. I am still a registered Democrat, but over the years, l found myself feeling more and more alienated by the left wing. The left wing incessantly says we must be tolerant of others and we shouldn't be "divisive" but they consistently allow for the vilific

I try and keep my reviews short and concise because this is not really a place, in my opinion, for serious scholarly essays. Rather, most people are simply interested in garnering some key and crucial viewpoints regarding the work they are considering reading. In this case, "The Culture of Critique" is fundamentally the most important piece of literature in the contemporary canon. I cannot think of a single text that should take priority over this one, particularly given the increase in tensions ...more

This should be required reading in school.
Exposes a fundamental issue in our society that most are completely unaware of.
Book is well referenced, and have fact checked many of the claims myself, which i've proven to be true.
My hope is this book will become mainstream so as a society we can understand & overcome the issues plaguing us.

An important- no, a necessary book. Get your copy while you can.
Matt’s review boasted, with restraint, that “this is the single most important book in modern literature.” Perhaps a less-ideological reviewer might've said that shelving this book as ‘read’ has been the beginning of many DHS dossiers.

I thought that his book was a good reminder that politics is downstream from academe, e.g., Cultural Marxism has laid the groundwork for activists and agitators that have emerged so vocal in 2020. This is not to say that politics isn't downstream from economics, i

Subtracted a star because the writing style can be intimidating, and long-winded. I'm sure that was a choice MacDonald made to drive the point home, continuously, as he lists hundreds of sources and citations that reinforce his point. Impressively well researched - he gives you the answers, but it's on you to ask the big question, the Jewish question.
