I really loved the first part of this, with good practical insight on intuition and imagination. And the part on journaling and readying your studio with materials. He lost me on some of the middle, possibly because I am not a painter or sculptor, however I imagine he teaches a very excellent course.

An easy read, around how art may be inspired. Geared towards people who aren’t regularly creating, it gave strategies for how to ideate. I liked the idea of making tons of lists of what you’re drawn towards. And expressing the inspiration forces when they give you something good.

inspiring, challenging and informative

Though I have no pretension to become a professional artist. This book has given me a great deal to think about in taking my art seriously and reflectively. I am sure if I did want to develop a career in art it would be of enormous benefit.
