Since I get to manage bunch of app developers, figure I should know what I am having them do. I do have a degree in computer science, afterall. Anyway, the book was very easy to follow and understand. I read the exercise (rather than do), but I was able to get the jist of things. It looks like pretty straightforward once the wireframe and visual design are figured out. A lot of automation and macros available. I think iOS development will be easy to pick up for anyone with programming background. I also got to understand the basics of app architecture - need for fluidity, connectivity and data management. Good book.
