Review:

"Girlfriends Secrets" by Charmaine Galloway was a wonderful written urban Christian novel of three friends who had secrets and drama in each of their lives that they thought were kept from each other. We find Tyra had once lead a 'promiscuous life' but had now changed by giving her life to 'Christ.' Alisha was just a 'single mom" with two young children and all she wanted wa

Best Friends Forever

Three friends, three lives, three stories all wrapped up in one. You will be able as a woman will be able to relate to at least one of the main characters. They all have their issues that will have you screaming at the book weather whether good or bad with an ending that will leave you itching for more.

Alisha is a struggling mother who does anything to keep her man. She was the character I screamed at the most. Love will make you do some crazy things and she did them all. I w

I have always loved reading books but they have to catch and keep my attention. If they don’t, I will put it to the side and pick it up when I have nothing else to do. I don’t have a specific genre, just as long as it is thought provoking and entertaining. So, when Author Charmaine Galloway asked if I would read and give a review of her book, I was more than happy to be a part of her experience, but a little sceptical. I have read tons of books that flow into the stereotypical, angry black woma ...more

Girlfriends. Secrets is a book every woman can relate to. We might even find a little of ourselves in this story of the journey of three best friends: Alisha, Tyra and Brittany. At one point or another, we have kept secrets from our best friends. This novel takes a look at the three dangerous paths and life changing decisions each of these women have to make.

Brittany had everything she could ever want materially due to her doctor husband. All the money in the world can not buy you love and affec

It's entertaining to read a story where the characters are replaced by people you know. It's not often that it happens for me. But when it does, it becomes an awesome addition to my reading experience.

Girlfriends Secrets by Charmaine Galloway has done just that. What I enjoyed most was each character was a real woman with real issues. I enjoyed Alisha's story about her relationship--or lack thereof. She struggled to be the prefect woman in his imperfect world. I felt sorry for her at times beca

The story line in Girlfriends Secrets was one based on three friends: Brittany - the spoiled and "kept" wife of a successful doctor, Tyra - a "church fanatic", and Alisha - a single mother with serious and deep rooted self esteem issues.

These three women have different lifestyles, perils, and demons that they face on a daily basis, yet they still manage to come together and support each other as friends. Alisha suffered the need for a reality check because despite how much she loved her youngest

Girlfriends: Secrets by Charmaine Galloway

You have the best girlfriends in the world, right? There is nothing you can’t tell each other, right? There is nothing you wouldn’t do for each other, right? No secrets between girlfriends, right? You haven’t met Tyra, Brittany or Alisha.

Brittany, Tyra, and Alisha are friends who are tight and cannot be broken apart. Yes they have their moments but they are still friends. These three have been through storms together but in those storms are some deadly s

I thought this was a very well written touching Christian story revolving around 3 best friends who felt it necessary to keep certain aspects of their lives a secret from each other. Charmaine Galloway did a great job in detailing the lives of Alisha, Brittany & Tyra as well as their significant others. It was easy for me to envision these characters as everyday people & their problems as ones that many have experienced.
I felt although Brittany lived a lavish lifestyle, she took it for

I loved Girlfriends Secrets is a book every woman can relate to. Each one of these ladies Tyra, Brittany, and Alisha had there own dark secrets they were keeping from each other. I loved Tyra because no matter how much they hated on her about getting saved she still stayed true. Alisha because of the love she had for a man she ended up losing her kids. I didn't care for Brittany at all because she thought she had it all and was better than everyone else. One bad mistake caused her to lose it all ...more

Great book!!! I really enjoyed this book because it hit on situations that are going on at this present time. Alisha single mother dealing with abuse mentally and physically, turning to something to help her ease her pain. Tyra turning her life over to god thinking she is untouchable of any sin. Once god challenges her faith, she turns her back on him.(Tyra got on my nerves) she never stopped to realize that god was using her and he never does anything without a reason whether you like it or not ...more

Awesome job Charmaine Galloway!!!! Excellent book about three girlfriends, Brittany, Alisha, and Brittany who each lived different lives. Alisha is a single mom of two who just want to keep her son’s father in her life. She allows Eric to do anything to her and get away with it. I wanted to smack my Kindle. Brittany is a straight up #itch. Brittany thought she was better than everyone else. She married a doctor with a ton of money, but no time for her. Tyra is a single mom that picked the wrong ...more

This was my very first read by author Charmaine Galloway, and I must admit, I was completely blown away by this book. The storyline is believable, the characters are loveable, and I quickly found myself identifying with them and some of the challenges that they faced. There were parts where I laughed, and some that made me actually tear up. It has all the components I like in a good book; suspense, drama, a good laugh, and an ending that definitely makes you eager to read part 2. I would definit ...more

Secrets we keep

Lots of people keep secrets from their families and friends. The secrets can come back to destroy lives. Charmaine writes a beautiful story of secrets, and abused lives that are seeking help and healing in their own way.

Charmaine was born and raised in Toledo, Ohio. Writing has been her passion and a positive emotional outlet since middle school. As a teen, writing in her journal allowed her to escape the negativity of her world. Around that time she also began writing her first fiction novel. She finds joy in creating unique and awe inspiring story-lines for the characters in her stories. Ingenuity and imaginati ...more
