One quiet afternoon, I curled up with a steaming hot cup of tea, opened this book, and became immersed in the fascinating life story of Anne Bullard. Sollitt and Harrison bring Anne's world vividly to life - the beautiful sights and smells of a prairie dawn; the rugged challenges of pioneering life and the admirable grim determination of the pioneer spirit; the reflections, tears, and spiritual revelations of a human young woman growing up among struggling, very human people. This is a Little House on the Prairie experience, with a slightly deeper level of reflection on human nature and the Christian life. ... Molly Bullard is a legend! The series, taken as a whole, deserves a five star rating :)
