Vampire Kiernan Shaw has never forgotten the night twenty years ago when he’d been forced to stand by while another vampire killed a six-year-old girl’s parents in front of her. He’s spent the better part of the last two decades watching over her, protecting her and hoping for an opportunity to make amends one day.

Ever since surviving the vampire attack that killed her par

When I saw the title This Time Next Year for this book, I wasn’t sure what I was going to be reading, and when I started reading the actual story, I still wasn’t sure what I was reading. I thought it was going to be super boring and then I was going to have to struggle with writing my review. Boy, I was so happy to be so wrong. This was such a fantastic book. It was in a word romantic. That was the first word t

I am definitely loving these short 1Night Stand stories, especially right before bed time and after having a very busy day. I need a book that is short and will grab my attention.

This is my first book from Catherine Peace and I look forward to reading more books from her very soon.

This Time Next Year is about Moira Curran and Kiernan Shaw. Moira is still trying to get over what happened to her in the past, when a vampire attacked her parents and almost atta

This is a short 38 page story by a brand new first time published author Catherine Peace. It's always hard to try brand new authors. It's a risk of course to our pocketbook and our reading time. Miss Peace started with a beautiful cover and a great little blurb so i had good hopes i would enjoy the story. it's It's hard to put enough story into something this short and make it feel enjoyable. This is really like the after story of a horrific tale where years ago a little girl is forced to watch ...more

This Time Next Year was a really sweet story. Not at all how I anticipated describing a story about a young woman falling in love with a vampire after having her mother killed by one right in front of her when she was six, but its true nonetheless.

To me it was sweet because it is a well told and convincing story of how two souls traumatized by the same event, and who have suffered alone for the past twenty years, find healing and love with each other. They share a bond formed by the tragedy to

I liked this one a lot. :)This is more of a 3.5-3.9 star review. I was lucky enough to meet the author at the Lori Foster Reader/Author Get Together in June (I swear I will get my recap post up soon!) and have been twitter friends with her for a long time. I have to say I was really excited to read this book because vampires just never get old!

There are three things that I've come to expect from a 1Night Stand novella: a compelling storyline, hot sex and super likable characters that make me wis

This Time Next Year is very sweet emotional story by Catherine Peace about two lost souls tortured from a shared moment in time – the night Moira’s parents were murdered. This story has it’s tragic moments but overall it’s a gentle romance. The complexity of Moira's backstory was sad and intense. Even though I like my male characters to be strong alpha’s, I think it’s sweet that Keirnan is able to show his vulnerable side. The romance between the two main characters is fragile and yet smoldering ...more

I LOVE vamps. LOVE. Them. So I was super excited to read Catherine Peace's novella. A traumatized woman. A vampire battling guilt and an overwhelming desire to protect. A one night stand. It all adds up to a steamy, sweet, romantic night that pulls you in from page one and won't let go, even after you're finished reading. Can't wait to read more of Catherine's work!

This was a lovely afternoon treat! A wonderfully sexy, protective vampire. A woman willing to overcome her justifiable fears of vampires. I loved her "scientific" methods of testing her feelings for her new lover. :) And the ending was absolutely perfect.

Awesome story - a great twist on vampires in the classic sense, and some really hot romance! Yum. :) I only wish it was longer so I could keep reading more! Can't wait to read more from this author.

This was a short sweet read but...

I've noticed that some of these books don't have a clear distinction as to where one POV ends and another begins. I don't like that. It confuses me. I sometimes have to go back and read a paragraph and try to figure out who is speaking or thinking.

Also ... really, I should have known by the name but ugh.

This book went from one extreme to the next and it was only 'the next' that I didn't enjoy. Moira and kiernan fall in love in one night and when she asks him to

Catherine Peace has been telling stories for as long as she could remember. She often blames two things for her forays into speculative fiction—Syfy (when it was SciFi) channel Sundays with her dad and The Island of Dr. Moreau by HG Wells. She graduated in 2008 from Northern Kentucky University with a degree in English and is still chasing the dream of being super rich and famous, mostly so she ca ...more
