Wow. I lost count of the amount of times I rolled my eyes reading this book. It was SO unrealistic, it was the complete opposite of what would happen in real life.

Jessica is a poor as dirt college student. She waits tables at a bar and barely makes ends meet. She has a p.o.s. car that breaks down often and she has an arrangement with her mechanic friend that as long she pays for parts she can pay for labor in bj's. No joke. But I withheld judgment and kept reading.

Unfortunately, Jessica's car ne

“Be careful what you wish for” or paranoid “what goes around, comes around” can start or end a relationship.

Can you really shed your trailer trash existence or does it stay lurking in the background of your mind reappearing when you least expect it?
Jessica hides her past, who she is, where she came from, to those who know her but she can’t escape it in her own reality. Memories of her mother still haunt her and she promised herself she would not repeat that life-style.

An offer is made and accept

I loved the short story of this in Quickies and couldn't wait to read the whole book, I certainly wasn't disappointed.

Jessica is a student struggling to get by on her waitressing job, offered a large amount of money to help a woman prove her husband's infidelity Jessica can't refuse. Determined to hold up her end of the bargain Jessica meets the woman's husband Kage and seduces him as planned. What Jessica didn't count on is the instant connection they both feel for each other. Can Jessica live

I honestly never give negative reviews, unless it's a train wreck of a novel I don't see the point in hurting an authors feelings!

But I have to get my thoughts on this book off my chest!

I was excited to read BCWYWF, the blurb sounded really intriguing. However the most dramatic part of the book was over in the first two or three chapters. What the hell was I reading for the last 80% of the book? So pointless! I don't really think there was a plot line to follow once Kage left his wife. Just Je

*I was given a complimentary copy of Be Careful What You Wish For in exchange for an honest review.

What happens to a relationship born out of desperation and deceit? Jade C. Jamison explores this contentious topic in Be Careful What You Wish For. Typically, I avoid cheating plot lines when choosing books to read. But I stepped out of my comfort zone with this book because I know Jade would approach this controversial plot with honesty and thoughtful insight.

The book begins with a prologue from J

Having read other books from this author and enjoyed them, I read the blurb for this book and knew I would enjoy this book as well.

Be Careful What You Wish For is a unique twist on the love triangle/infidelity story. The story starts with Jessica, a college student living away from home in Colorado. Jessica is a dedicated student who has used her brains to escape her unhappy and unfulfilled life at home with her alcoholic mother. Jessica works at a bar to pay for her studies and man

I gave this book 5 spectacular stars!
This is book one in the Wishes series.

And if the other books in this series are going to be anything like this book then watch out!

I love Jade's work and she is an author that no matter what book she comes out with I one click it. I read about it later or just jump in and know that I am going to be reading a great book. That is refreshing to know. BUT that being said Jade out did herself with this book. I wasn't sure what to expect with the kind of book

Before I started reading this book, I wasn't sure if I was going to like it or not. The thought of reading about a man cheating kind of turned me off and I almost declined, but I decided to give it a chance. Did I make a good decision to go against my gut and pass the opportunity to read it? Yes I did.

One thing I missed was this wasn't a multi pov. This book would have been even better if we'd had both points of views. I would have loved to have seen what Kage was thinking when he fo

Be Careful What You Wish For by Jade C. Jamison carried me through a several different emotions while I was reading it. My feelings about the main character, Jessica, bounced back and forth and that is one reason I could not put this book down.
I have been in Jessica’s shoes as far as trying to survive by working in a bar and having a POS car to get around in. The one thing I liked about Jessica is she was honest about what she did, why she did it, and kept her chin up (for the most part). I thi

I became an instant fan of Jade C. Jamison after reading Bullet which is still one of my absolute favorite books. I was elated when I heard that Be Careful What You Wish For would be the start of a brand new series and once I read the blurb, I was hooked. The premise is completely unique and the characters are likeable and relatable despite the circumstances.

Have you ever felt an undeniable cosmic connection with someone? If so did that someone perhaps turn out to be married? Did the chance mee

Ms. Jamison has gone and done it again! With each book I read from her I don't think it could be better than the last, but she keeps proving me wrong.

I loved Be Careful What You Wish For. It did have me all over the place with my emotions. I definitely had a love/hate relationship with Kage. Could I like Kage? Was Jessica wrong for doing what she did? Was Kage worth it? Was Jessica's feelings justified? Oh I could go on and on. I think this was great read. Ms. Jamison kept me guessing

Oh gosh, Jade has done it again!!!!! I don't think I will ever get enough of her books. There were parts where I wanted to text (yes text)Jade and be like WTF!!!!!!! Are you for real right now. It was so good, Kage is hotttt, just like all of Jade's book boyfriends, but there was something so raw about him, I think would be the right word. I can't put my finger on it, but raw is a good term for it. Jessica does something she deems so stupid but she is so desperate at the moment that she can't he ...more

I adore Jade's books! She has yet to fail me yet. OMG... Kage is quite possibly one of my new favorite BB. Jessica's life has been all about school. She has thought very little about relationships, so when an opportunity to make a few dollars falls in her lap she is hesitant. She is asked by a jealous wife to see if she can find out if her husband is cheating. She cautiously agrees to do this needing the money to fix her car. What happens is she meets Kage, The man of her dreams. They stumble he ...more

In most novels you hear the story about the jilted lover and their need to find happiness and trust in a new love. Jade C. Jamison puts a twist on the ordinary with "Be careful what you wish for," She brilliantly shows the heart felt side to a break up you seldom hear about: the cheater and the home wreaker.
You can't help but fall in love with Kage and Jessica and root for them to make it work. This story shows you that there are many sides to a relationship.

Be Careful What You Wish For is a heartfelt, sexy and well-written tale of forbidden love with a unique twist. Kelly, Perusing Princesses Blog.

This may be a quick read with fast pace but it packs a punch in all the right places. Jade C. Jamison has taken the literary all-taboo infidelity card and ripped it to shreds, reworked it and created a refreshing, sexy, sinful and thought-provoking read but without going overboard with unnecessary drama. Yes, there is some angst here but mainly due to s

I was So lucky to have been one of the few to get to read this book pre-release! As a beta reader and huge fan of Jade Jamison's Bullet and Nicki Sosebee series, I always get nervous for her and have great expectations when she releases a new series.
I never read the short story from which this book was based upon, so I was reading blind with no pre-judgment. I know a lot of readers do not like books with cheaters or stories where cheating plays a major role in the plot, but I can honestly tell y

I am generally not a fan of cheating in novels. As I assume, most people are iffy about it as well. However, I am a HUGE fan of Jade C. Jamison. Using my instincts, trusting solely on what I have experienced in her work before, I dived into this book.

Jessica, being in Graduate school, desperate for money when her job isn't getting it done. She's approached by a group of drunk women, one of which wanted to pay her to attempt to seduce her husband. Why? Because she thinks he's cheating on her. Wh

WOW Jade C. Jamison is such an amazing author!!! She has written another amazing book, her style of writing is fantastic! I truly love the subjects she chooses and doesn't care how strong or controversial they are. In her newest book, Be Careful What You Wish For, Jade writes about how two people fell in love through an affair. Affairs are very touchy subjects but what about when the wife asks you to sleep with her husband? Does this make it okay or ius it still wrong? There are going to be so m ...more

Cheating..... This is a subject that most people abhor... most everyone has been a victim of.... and a few (very few) will admit to having committed it.

Jade C. Jamison tackled this incredibly volatile topic with the grace and honest in your face reality of cheating.

In this amazing story, you get a completely original twist on cheating... no, not a triangle... this is about a wench of a woman, paying another woman to seduce her husband to prove he is a low life cheater.

Such a great idea for a book! What would you do if you were presented with a chance to help yourself get back on your feet, but do something you really don't feel right about? Then helping someone find out if their cheating suspicions are correct, you find out your target is your soulmate? This book deals with some heavy issues without making judgments. Would you be able to live a life with that person without worrying about their fidelity? This book is not a heavy read but deals with such a hea ...more

This book is definitely about life lessons and what people actually go through on a day to day bases. I liked Jess right away. She had a ruff life but she was in school and doing the best so could for herself. Then one day while working she was approached by Kage's wife Fay and she wanted her to seduced her husband. I think Fay got exactly what she deserved and more so after I found out her back story. And Kage omg total tattooed HOTTIE!!! I loved how he was so drawn to Jess and how their relati ...more

I really liked this story and the moral behind it...literally in the title! I thought it was comical & it not as unrealistic as some people think. Jessica was someone that I could relate to...not in every way lol...but I could see her being a great friend if she was real! Kage was a total hottie and so down to earth. Kay, well, she could have handled things so differently. Could everybody involved, yeah, sure... but, the events started rolling due to her and her trust issues. Be Careful What ...more

Be careful what you wish for.. you might just get exactly that.
When a jealous wife hires Jessica to get answers about her husband, she gets a whole lot more than she bargained for..
I really wish I could give this book half stars because I'd give it 3.5. I did enjoyed the book and yet I gave it 3 stars why? Well, because it was a little far fetched for me. Jessica knew exactly what she was doing and getting herself into yet acted surprised to find herself in situations or feeling certain ways and

This was a good and fairly quick read which I enjoyed.

I loved Kage from the moment we first meet him. It's obvious after the first night that he's not happy in his marriage and that his wife was a horribly selfish woman. I mean who hires someone to try and make their husband cheat. But it backfires and Kage is thankful because meeting Jessica makes him the happiest he's ever been. Kage and

I must have read different book than everyone else because I didn't see this great love story. They start off with Kage and Jessica sleeping together, which was the straw that broke the camels back in his marriage. It wasn't just they slept together, but some how they knew they were soul mates right then and there and were in love with each other. Yeah not realistic. Then they get in a relationship right off the bat where they are head over heels in love with each other, but Jessica seems to thi ...more

This is a book unlike anything I've read before but it was really enjoyable despite the cheating element introduced into the storyline early on.

Jessica is in need of money to repair her car but doesn't expect the proposition she receives to act as a honey trap for a married man.

Kage is married but unhappily so but despite his wife's beliefs he has never cheated on her until he's tempted by Jessica. Immediately drawn to her, he sees something in her eyes that is missing from his life and risks th
