The Lust For Blood

Rate this book
'The Lust for Blood' is a collection of thirteen grisly short stories written by the author Charmain Marie Mitchell.

The stories range in size from 1,400 words to 9,800 and focuses on the complexities of the human mind (with a couple of supernatural tales thrown in for good measure). There is nothing so complicated as a human being and sometimes nothing so horrific!

Worth The Wait!

This collection of short stories has been on my reading list for a very long time. I am not familiar with the author and I don’t remember when I purchased this book, but it is pretty good.

The collection is about horror stories with a surprise ending. The kind of ending that you don’t always see coming, but you’re happy with the results.

I recommend this book. 😎

I thought that the stories in this book were written well. The first story was the book that made me want to read more, then read the other stories. Each story was told in good detail. The imagination of these stories is good.

I thought that each story of these book could be made into a full lengthened book to make them more enjoyable read.

Overall, this book was really good and I would love to read this again.

Very Good Anthology

I really enjoyed most of these stories; as always, there were one or two that weren't as good, but there weren't any that I disliked.

Very good short stories, goes through all the emotions and ends perfectly!

Great if you want a quick read, that's exciting. Gives a little jolt of chills on the back of your neck, and leaves you feeling like it played out well at the end.

This was a quick read what I call and in between books read. Blood Lust has thirteen short story's in it great if you have a spare hour for reading would be good if a couple of the story's were made into full blown book especial the first one Beecham Manor and Tudor Witch.

I just wanted a quick read for a change of pace and I sure got this. Several short stores, some as short as a few pages, but just what I needed. Enjoyed it very much as a change in genre. A good read if you like something different.

This book is compromised of several short horror stories written by Charmain Marie Mitchell. Each story is about murder and often imagined grievances or slights. While the stories weren't bad, I didn't find them very compelling either. I kept hoping the next one would be better.

Good stories. A lot of typos

Most of the stories in this book are very good, but the typos and missing words dwindle the impact. Definitely worth reading though. 🤷

Good and creepy

All of the stories here were great. I think my favorite was the first one, because I guessed something was going to go wrong...but I wasn't expecting THAT.

Decent horror

I have chosen 3 of 5 stars because it was written with simple details and that is a lot better than to much and the stories were not original but the author put a good spin on them, I will not reread this book anytime in the near future, however I will keep an eye out for more works by the author

Ok stories

I read the short stories because I've read a few of the authors books and they were written extremely well. The stories were good, creepy, horrifying, they were a good quick read. One story or two had my jaw on the ground. They aren't for everyone. If you have t read the authors books I would read those before you venture into these short stories.

A collection of 13 short Horror stories, ranging from 5 minutes to ten minutes. A few were just plain weird, and others extremely disturbing. I love my horror and strange tales but two of these were just so over the top.

Some of them seemed to be just a set of thoughts thrown onto paper. An entertaining hour if you read them all at once, but overall just wasn't for me

Chilling Collection

A chilling collection of well written. As with any collection some are more to my taste than others (I found the rape story and the child abuse stories uncomfortable to read),but others are excellent and entertaining ghost stories. The manor house story is the best, and enough to make this collection excellent value.

The Lust for Blood by Charmaine Mitchell comprises thirteen supposedly grisly stories by the author. The writing is unremarkable, and the characters are fairly superficial. The occasional suspenseful moments are not part of a cohesive whole. Some moments of promise, but needs more work.

Some nice and new ideas that are hobbled by odd punctuation and spelling errors. I hope they were just bugs in the Kindle formatting.

Some spelling and grammatical errors that slipped through editing. However, I enjoyed the stories. Some of them had very nice twists!

Come on Now!!!!

I give this book 3.5 stars because some very quite interesting and captivating, others were a little over the top and grotesque. If you like this genre of books or stories, I recommend it. However, I don't think it's for the faint of heart or squeamish.
