This book is more emotional and real to me than I can describe. Six weeks after I married my husband, he had a motorcycle accident and he didn’t know who I was. He thought it was the same year he had his wisdom teeth removed. That had been years prior. Funny thing- the brain is! It has a way to protect itself. Anyway, although what happened to my husband’s brain was different than what happened to Jason’s brain in the book, the results are the same – Life is forever altered. I had to stop many t

Where exactly would you start if you're told that the person whom you love and meant the world to you could not recall anything about you?

The book started with a tragedy hits baseball superstar Jason Kincaid. A car accident caused him to lose his memory of 15 years. He couldn't recall anything, including reuniting with his high school sweetheart, Megan Williams. Their hopes and plans were suddenly lost along with his memories.

Megan, on the other hand, tries to grasp reality as she help Jaso

What Endures is an amazing story. I could not stop reading this book. It was a train wreck heart wrenching that at times I cried and times I laughed but it was one of those emotional roller coasters that I wanted to be on because the story started out with a bang and ended with a bang.

Jason Kincaid has it all. He has his career as an outfielder for the Seattle Mariners. He has the girl of his dreams, his high school sweet heart so what more could he ask for? Nothing because everything is running

This book was an ARC given to me by the author.

I don’t normally read romance but I was ensnared from the beginning all the way to the end with the story, What Endures’, by Katie Lee. I love reading debut works from first time authors. What a new and refreshing voice. What an amazing storyteller! I expect great things from this author.

I’m a rather picky reader. Bad dialogue is what I hate the most but with this book, I could tell the characters controlled the story and the author was only the fin

For a debut novel, the author did a good job. I enjoyed this story of Jason and Megan, high school sweethearts. They have been through a lot in their relationship which we learn about over the course of the story, with glimpses into their past.

The book starts with Jason, a star Baseball player having suffered head inuries in a car crash. Megan is told he cannot remember the last 15 years of his life. Considering Jason is only 27 that means he can't remember why his parents divorced, he still thi
A story about Jason losing his memory after an accident, losing his 15 years of memories and of Megan, his fiancé... About how they both dealt with it. I didn't get what Megan was really doing at first cause she seems to be avoiding Jason (irritating). Though it was explained along the way why she was doing that. I like Jason's character here, it was written in a way that you could definitely understand him. There were conversations that I find so long that I got a bit bored though, despite it b ...more

Review to come on blog tour. 4 stars.

“If it was meant to be, it shouldn’t feel like a constant battle.”

There comes those rare moments in a reader’s reviewing life where one has to give a book 4+ stars even though the book actually wasn’t that great when it’s dissected and the parts analysed. It’s the whole idea of What Endures that made me really enjoy it and give it such a high rating. Usually, I take the different parts of what I think makes a good book and then take the aggregate to determ

This is my first book by this author and the writing was excellent. Its written in the third person and is available through Kindle Unlimited. As you are reading you feel like this is the second book in a series, I actually stopped and went to double check that but you aren't. Its just the way its written.

Jason is a pro baseball player who wakes up from an accident with a broken leg and a head injury. He has lost 15 years of memories, basically his high school, college, pro career and girlfrien

I thoroughly enjoyed reading What Endures. It was a heart-warming and emotional read that kept me engaged and wondering if they would stay together. This is a debut for Katie Lee and I have to say it was fantastically written. I cannot wait to read what Ms Lee offers up next.

After having a car accident, Jason wakes up in a hospital and has a big block in his memories from the past 15 years. Jason is an all-star outfielder for the Seattle Mariners and was in the prime of his life.

What Endures is an adorable and sweet novel about Megan and Jason who are struggling with their relationship after Jason loses all his memories. At first, Megan doesn't tell Jason about their past: the marriage, divorce, and subsequent re-engagement. She tells Jason that they've been friends forever.

Megan wants to be with the man she loves, yet she doesn't want to force him into a relationship that he may not want anymore. Megan

I read this book because I was told it was new adult – it isn’t. Megan may be 26 years old but she’s not at the stage in life that I associate with new adult heroines. She’s established in her career and whilst Jason may be her first true love – they’re not newly together. They’ve been married, have lived together for years and – prior to the accident – are on the way to happily ever after.

There were moments where I thought this book could somehow bring the adult characters together with their n

Megan has been in love with the same person for years. He is her home, her safe place. No matter what happened Jason would always be there for her. They survived so many struggles and they were still together. Then one horrific event took everything they had. Now Megan has to be the strong one and learn how to stand by Jason as nothing more than a friend.

Jason can't remember anything. He see's flashes but he can't piece anything together in his mind. Everything seems wrong, especially his relati

This book both broke and warmed my heart at the same time. I mean, Megan wakes up one day to what can only be described as someone’s worst nightmare. The person you love doesn’t remember you! There are so many ups and downs that I wanted to cry most of the time, but there were plenty of heartwarming moments that made smile and lots of laughs.

This book strays from the common outline of a love story in that the characters aren’t just meeting. Well, I guess in a way they are, but there is so much h

Loved Loved Loved this book....but needless to say I was a sobbing mess by the end. First off I must say I loved how this storyline was set up and written!! I love a book that stays in the present tense....yes there was flashbacks (which I'm not a fan of) but they were short and actually made this book better. The characters I can't say enough about. Megan has been through so much and to have the love of your life not remember you....heartbreaking!! Jason...I can't imagine not being able to reme ...more

What Endures by Katie Lee is a story with a strong emotional impact.

In the first several chapters of her debut work, Ms. Lee relies heavily on dialogue. This treatment limits description and could leave the reader feeling that something is missing; however, Ms. Lee does such a great job of conveying the emotions of her characters that the reader feels the story from the beginning. Enough detail is given in later chapters that, as the story unfolds, the reader not only feels the story but sees i
I'm guilty of reading some reviews while i was reading this book! Fortunately, apart from the amnesia and (view spoiler) part, everything is different; the separation, the characters itself, the "moral of the story". I'm aware that all movies(except "life of pi") that are adapted from books are flops and that might be why i hate the open-ending. That book, at least, gave me a satisfying ending, one that makes sense with the realization that he loves her despi ...more
Beautiful story about a love that just as the title suggests, truly "endures".

This was gut-wrenching for me reading it from her perspective - knowing the man you love does not even recognise you or remember any of the years you have had together, but surprisingly even moreso from his perspective - being so confused and frustrated over the countless years you can not remember.

Be prepared to shed a few tears is all i can say!

When I read the synopsis of this book I couldn't wait to get started. Sadly it didn't live up to my expectations. Jason and Megan didn't have any chemistry that I could see. Everything felt so forced. It was really hard to finish this book. It was so slow and seemed to drag on forever. I was more interested in learning what was going on with Tyler but there was no conclusion to his story sadly.

Right off the bat, I want to say that I don't consider this book to be New Adult. Both of the MCs are college graduates--he's a major league baseball player and she runs his foundation (after getting her MBA). There are a few high school and college flash backs that I guess could make this New Adult in theory, but characters acting like they're in college doesn't qualify a book for a certain genre. IMHO, this is

Jason and Megan takes the meaning of a complicated relationship into another level. The trials these two faced – It was mind-blowing and definitely not easy to take. If its not something its someone who is trying to break these two apart. They say that love is sweeter the second time around, but on Jason and Megan’s case it was sweeter the third time around.

I have to admit, I got interested in What Endures because of how much it sounded like The Vow, one of the not-so-few movies that made me bawl like a baby. This book didn't succeed in making me do that, but it still tugged on a few heartstrings.

The main characters were okay for the most part. At first, I wanted to shake Megan so hard because she was obviously taking the easy way out by avoiding rekindling her relationship with Jason, even when he, un

I liked the movie The Vow, which featured Rachel McAdams and Channing Tatum. Rachel’s character had amnesia thanks to a car accident and she didn’t remember the love of her life, her husband, played by Channing. I found the concept to be very intriguing and the movie was well-crafted, however, I didn’t connect with it on the level I was hoping for. Therefore, I had big hopes for What Endures. Unfortunately, not all of my hopes were satisfied.

This book centers around Jason and his fiance, Megan. Jason, a major league baseball player, has been in a horrible car accident that left him unable to remember the last fifteen years of his life - unable to remember anything about his romance with Megan.

On recommendation from Jason's doctors, Megan moves out of their house and hides their relationship from him - until he finds out the truth in maybe the worst possible way. From this point on, Megan and Jason endure the rocky ups and downs of a
