I really loved this book. It had a great plot, was super sexy and good character development. Another great thing is that it was in a dual point of view, so you got to know both characters well. I also love that there is some crossover characters from the One More Night series. I love Selene Chardou's writing and cannot wait for the second book to come out. Definitely a must read.

Out From Under is book #1 in the Lover's Duet series which is a series spin off from Selene Chardou's One More Night series.

The story line in this book was a bit dark and had quite a bit of angst to it. This story is about Trista Lennon, a very smart 18 year old, who is

Tattoos, bikes, & rock gods! What more can a girl ask for?

This was definitely an intriguing read. Chardou develops her storyline with many twists and turns, always keeping her readers on their toes. The world that this author has created is very vivid. You are immersed in many aspects of our world that you wouldn’t necessarily encounter in your daily life. Also, the cliffhanger that she leaves off with makes it next to impossible not to want to continue on this journey with her characters.

I was fortunate to be able to read an ARC of this story. This is the first book I have read by this author. It's a nice one day read. It's a romance featuring a tatted-up rock star and a young but experienced college student. There are some twists in here to keep the story interesting and it wasn't predictable. Overall, I enjoyed it and will read the second part, which will be released in September, 2013. I would recommend this book to others who enjoy an exciting romance.

Thankfully, I was able to get my hands on the gem as a ARC. I could not put it down. It is real, and sexy with a bit of danger and realism that in undeniable. Real emotion runs throughout the entire book, making me a fan of Selene Chardou for life!. How can you not fall in love with a rock star like Linx? I implore those of you considering this book, to BUY IT! You will not regret it.

I received this as an ARC, it started out real slow and i thought boring, i almost gave up on it. Finally around the 8th chapter it grabbed me and i couldn't put it down, i read it in an afternoon. I ended up really enjoying it and can't wait for the next book.

I was given an ARC for an honest review.

There are things about this book that I really enjoyed, but there are also things that made it a difficult read for me at times. This book is about Trista and Linx, both of which are trying to escape a past and change their lives for the better when they meet each other and find that the best thing to help them grow and move forward is each other.

Trista is very different from most heroines these days. She is young but is not naïve. She is very

I really enjoyed this read because it was intense, dark and definitely was tugged at your heartstrings. This book has it all, bikers, rockers and a great love story.

Trista strikes me as a very old eighteen year old woman. She has tons of maturity and deals with the tragedy of losing her family extremely well. She could have broke down and went wild but she stayed grounded and it made you cheer for her so much. I like how after meeting Linx she did an even bigger 180 when she had some major

I really liked the book and can't wait for the next one. The only thing that bothered me was when they are talking about anal sex and he says he has had it with men and women. Seriously? This is the problem I had with the other series, what is this trend now that all Alpha male heros have had to have f***ed men? I have NO problem with preferences and there is many a Nicole Edwards book on my Kindle, but I expect in in those books and it is prefaced in the synapsis. I hate to fall in love with a ...more

I received this book from Author Selene Chardou and Paranormal Romance and Authors who Rock.
Trista is one of those teenagers who is smart and also a bad girl. She never hung out with people her own age and concentrated on her studies so she could get into an Ivy League college. At 18 she was sleeping with one of the bad boys of her brothers motor cycle club, hanging out there for the parties and just being a wild teenager, but it wouldn’t last for long. She was accepted to Stanford and

I was asked to read and review Out From Under by Selene Chardou for Swoon Worthy Books. First off, it is a good book, but it is a little slow in the beginning for me. I have to admit when I first started reading this book, I thought Motorcycle Clubs and Rockstars ok that is a strange combination for me since I have never read the combination before, but it works and it works really well together. But to me it is a book about loss, love, betrayal, and of course what book would not be complete ...more

4 Stars. I absolutely loved this book! Out From Under is the first book in the Lover’s Duet series. It is so much more than a story about bikers and a MC club. It’s a story about freedom, a daughter trying to find where she fits in and a family’s betrayal and secrets. Then Selene Chardou throws in a Rock Star and some steamy sex and you have an amazing story of unconditional love with drama and suspense that will keep you guessing!

You fall in love with Trista and Linx right from the beginning.

4.5 Stars from me!

Selene has become one of my favorite authors. Her story writing ability was just amazing too me and I was drawn into her books from when I first read Falling Into Lust. But as much as I enjoyed that series, this review isn't about them. This is about the spin off book, Out From Under.

Right off the bat, one thing that I did enjoy was how Selene set this book up. Instead of just jumping into the story at the halfway point she gave us a lot of background information. While we were

Trista has lived a life that wasn't of her making. Her brother is the Sargeant of Arms of a local MC. She's seen blood shed, raucous behavior, and all walks of life. The secrets and decisions of others are affecting her more than she realizes. Is she truly living her life or a life that someone else wrote for her?

Linx doesn't trust easily. After going through hell with his ex, he keeps himself from having a connection with others. He has had a rough past that he needs to move past. Will he ever

I read this book cos it had average rating 3.70 and most of review were good and plot seemed interesting. But the book was really boring and all over the place. characters weren't interesting and they were forgettable. starting was horrible, couldn't understand who was whose ex wife or current wife/girlfriend, everyone seemed to be everyone's relative.I couldn't remember who was who. oh and the brand was all 'his macbook pro, her galaxy s4, Victoria secrets

Braine's Talk Supe review

I like SChardou's storytelling style. I loved how she introduced her characters, dishing out their backstories from the start which gave me a quick sense of who and what they are and whether or not I'll like them. The world she made is pretty small, there's a bunch of colorful secondary characters and they're all interconnected somehow it's almost incestuous. But even with these dizzying relations, these intriguing tritagonists enriched the series and I'm pretty sure

Trista is a young 18 year old woman who thinks she knows what she wants from her life. She can’t wait to go away to college and be away from her overprotective family and the MCs that are running her home town.

Linx is actually Lennon, the bass player for the band Winter’s Regret. Linx is a divorced dad of two adorable little boys, Brady & Jimi, and travels the world with the band.

When Trista’s life drastically goes to epic hell, she must leave all that she knows. She goes to LA to live with

4 stars. First..I see may reviews praised this book. Okay I must say not a typical MC story that is for sure. Trista and Linx loved truly the characters. but here it goes, What did I just read. To many MC's and to many characters then add FBI, US Marshall. I kept saying to myself, What I am reading; I did try to stop reading but I just couldn't, my mind kept saying OMG, That Pedophile Clooney, what the hell Trey! Linx is my hero, but Trista has OMG a Dysfunctional Family from the get go and ...more

I enjoyed this book and really liked Linx and Trista. Both have suffered loss and together they help heal the other and make each other stronger. Since I like reading both rock star and motorcycle club books, I was able to get a little fix for each. Linx' character is very loveable. He sincerely loves Trista and will do whatever he has to in order to protect her. There are a couple of twists and turns and although it doesn't end in a nail biting cliffhanger, it does end by leaving you hanging ...more

Out From Under is book one in Selene Chardou’s Lovers Duet Series. This was a really great read and it had all of the elements that are required when combining rockers and bikers. The characters were original; it was hot, steamy and had an awesome plot. There was an edge to story and it had many twist and turns that had you eager to finish in order to see how it all panned out. This is the first book that I have read from this author and I liked her writing style a lot. I always appreciate a ...more

Loved the characters in Out from Under. They developed well throughout the book. A book essentially about secrets and betrayal involving Linx a rock star and Trista who at 18 has grown up in the biker community.

Trista is due to leave for University when tragedy strikes and turns her world upside down. She has to move location where she meets up with Linx, a bass guitarist.

You'll have to read the book to find out what happens, the trials and tribulations, the strength and vulnerability they have

I got to 40% of the book and just had to give up. I just couldn't get past the writing style of this book. First, book clearly needs some editing as it has a sprinkling of grammatical errors. Second, alternating first person and third account; even though the book alternates in Trista's and Linx's POVs, at least stick with either first or third person narrative. Third, what is with the phone brand name dropping? Is the author a fandroid or something? In a year or so, this book would feel dated ...more

*3.5 stars* I am still on the fence with this book, I like the book, but then I didnt. The first part of the book is filled with detail and had a nice pace to it, then towards the middle to the end everything was rushed and made no sense. I felt the book was rushed and did not give time for the relationship to grow. I didnt get a feel for their relationship and I felt they didnt even feel their relationship. Would I read book 2? Yes, because even though the book was all over the place I still ...more

I really wanted to love this book but I just did not. I read all the reviews and I wonder if we read the same book. The idea for this story is really good, the execution thereof - not that good. The development of the relationships is not good, I don't believe the love between Trista and Linx. I don't buy the whole thing happening with her parents - I cant say more I don't want to give any spoilers. I did not like Trista of Linx and do not care enough about what happens next to get the next ...more
Immature heroine.
She planned to break up with her boyfriend when she went to college but instead he breaks up with her few days earlier because her brother ordered him to. And she starts crying. Why, you ask? Because she wanted to do it in her own way and it hurt her pride! Like WTF?! You got what you wanted, duh!

Hero who claims he's not a cheater when he is.
Saying you're not a cheater because once you proposed to your ex wife you stopped cheating still makes you a CHEATER!
a mafia rock star book

I felt a pull to this story when I read the premise. I couldn't wait to find out how this eighteen year old girl could cause so much trouble. I also wanted to find out how the author could write about a rock star involving himself with an eighteen year old girl also. Even though she has dealt with pain and sorrow I just don't understand the relationship. I want to keep reading to find out how the two of them get out of another messed up situation.

Good storyline but, a bit much way too much going on. Trista grows up around bikers, bikers clubs. Linx just meets the wrong girl who sends him through the ringer. If it wasn't for his music it would have ended badly for him & his sons. But all that was proof of the truth turns out to be a lie. Ends with a cliffhanger, with Trista having to save a her brother in Ireland. Lots could have been taken out & some of book two added.
