After a bad experience in her last job Quinn Morgan vows never to work for a man again. But due to unforeseen circumstances she is seconded to work for the CEO while his PA is off recovering from an accident. From the moment they meet Quinn realises that working for Maxwell Cordell is not going to be easy, consoling herself with knowledge that it is only going to be for a couple of months she pushes to the very back of her mind just how attractive she finds her boss and continues with her usual professionalism. Quinn has to accompany Maxwell to a meeting in London which requires an overnight stay. After a disturbing incident with a head of department Quinn’s sleep is disturbed, over the next weeks Maxwell keeps trying to talk to Quinn about their trip to London which she refuses to do thinking their conversation would have been about the attack. What Quinn does not realise is that Maxwell had slept with her that night, she believes the dream she had about her boss sharing her bed was just that a dream. Maxwell is both hurt and surprised by her off hand refusal to talk about their encounter not realising that she believed it to be a dream. A few weeks later they are away on another business trip to Paris when Maxwell tells her he has feelings for her and that once his PA has returned to work he would like to date her. Quinn is thrilled; over the weeks she has been working for him her feelings had grown and agrees that is what she would like. But the following morning she is in time to see another woman leaving his room feeling hurt and betrayed she waits until he leaves for his meeting then packs her bag intending to return home. There is just one problem Quinn is terrified of flying and when she boards the plane for home she collapses and is rushed to hospital. Maxwell is concerned when he is told his PA is in hospital, concern turns to fury when he discovers she was on a plane heading for home. When the doctor examining Quinn tells Maxwell she is pregnant he passes on the information to her, at first she laughs but when he insists she is and tells her the baby is his she realises why she has been dreaming about her boss.

I have been writing for over 20 years, I have recently published my first book Dream Lover which is available on all E readers. All of my stories are romance with a twist of intrigue or drama. To all those who have downloaded my book, thank you, I must say sorry for any typos, being new to publishing I didn’t realise the value of having my book edited so hopefully my next offerings will be better.

I love reading and decided to try my hand at writing a story myself, I didn't have a typewriter or computer so everything was by hand, soon I had masses of note books full of ideas it was a very happy day for me when my husband bought me my first computer. I soon discovered I loved writing as much as I do reading and every spare moment of my time was taken up typing furiously.

My husband and I travel quite a lot and get ideas for locations from some of the beautiful countries we have visited.

I would like to thank my husband Alan who of late has become an avid reader of romance stories, for all his encouragement.

There are so many bullet points I could add but these will suffice.

*Max refusing to set Quinn straight about his perceived philandering because he insisted on trust, something that was missing from his first wreck of a marriage.

*Max thinks Quinn is not eating enough for her and the baby, so he force feeds food into her mouth until she vomits. Way to go!

*"Where's my meal?" he demanded. Huh? Heard of takeaways or a microwave champ?

*"You call me one more name and I'll slap your face," he warned her. Okay right here I am done. Finito. Physical threats whether intended or not are NOT bloody romantic!

And Quinn. Quinn drove me up the wall putting up with his crap and then crying incessantly while she was at it. The only way back for her in my eyes was to grow balls and leave the abusive a-hole to wallow in his own muck.

Dear Author

Shove Max back into the cave he came from and don't let him out again - ever!

the writing was nice and I do agree with a couple of other reviews that say that Maxwell was a bit of a caveman and also I do agree that if two people are not happy they should separate so I didn't really understand what the point to stay is especially if all u do is make the other miserable

the romance kinda bothered in abusive and forceful. that is a straight no no for me

the emotions I feel we're not fully explained or dealt with and the characters felt like shells of their selves

a little research would have been helpful
thought the material was different including the sleep walking part but if better explored and dealt with in a better manner would make the story a better and more entertaining read

towards the end there was nothing more but stress send problems between Maxwell and the heroine which were kinda stretched I felt

also optimism is stuffed in the book like happily ever after after their kind of problems requires some serious luck and help that they lacked

also no other side characters were well explored. it was like the universe revolved around them litterally

if better dealt with the book would have easily been a 4 star

Dnf! Now I am no feminist but this was awful!! Didn’t like the characters and Max was abusive! Certainly not romantic!

Really enjoyed this book. Whilst it does have a HEA, it's certainly not an easy road to get there. The book demonstrates fully the stupid shit we do to each other, when we get an idea in our head and won't back down at all or even listen to reason.

Great story. Bad editing..

I'm having a hard time rating this. I enjoyed this book overall but the editing errors were very hard to overlook. The characters were likeable although very frustrating. I got sucked into their story but couldn't fathom how these two could become so stubborn toward each other. It made them both very unlikable. I loved the first half but was lukewarm for the second half.

I had such high hopes for this but there was so much hatred between the characters, I don't even know if you can justify this being called a romance novel. The beginning of the book had so much potential but once it's revealed that Quinn had sex while sleepwalking, it just went downhill from there. I'm glad this was a free book and I didn't have to pay for it.

I would have liked to see the two main characters be less antagonistic. Not enough background on his failed marriage. I was glad to see HEA, although I am not sure how they got there...From the next to the last and last paragraph, 2 yrs past.

Too many pointless arguments and the relationship was bordering abusive. The good times didn't make up for the bad and I ended up not liking either character as they were both so petty.

so many things were wrong with this book, she started off as such a strong heroine that it really puzzled me how much she changed but if you read this you will understand

There wasn't a thing about this story that I did like and the relationship between the two main characters, that's not love.

Really enjoyed this book. It was in need of formatting but if you can see past that, then the plot is actually quite good!
