Although this book felt a little long, I really thinks it still resonates today. I think a lot of women are like Nikai (the story is set in the late 90's I believe) and there are some women that unfortunately still have to deal with situations like this. I felt so bad for Nikai, and truthfully, Robert can kick rocks. ( I am not a fan of his at all from the beginning of the book until the end.) Nikai's growth was great in this story, and I enjoyed the flow of the story as well as the storyline of the book.
I received a copy of the book via NetGalley and am voluntarily leaving an honest review of my own thoughts and opinions.
