Caught in the Moment is a sweet contemporary romance novella about the popular jock & the shy and nerdy girl from high school and their chance at love ten years later. Laurel has always had a huge crush on Quin in high school, yet he has never noticed her. Then one day out in the fields at football practice, he humiliates her and she becomes the object of everyone’s hurtful teasing. Fast forward ten years later and they meet again.

Laurel is now a freelance photographer and Quin is the owner of

This is Brandy’s second foray into self-publishing with a shortie romance that is part 1 of her ‘Freefall’ series of reckless skydivers and the women who love them. Book 1 starts with Laurel Kane, delicate teenager caught up in the regrettably vicious world of high school popularity. You get a peek into her mortifying first contact experience with her high school crush, All-Star athlete, handsome and he knows it, football player, Quinton Ferris. One cruel moment that most girls get to experience ...more

When he embarrasses her in front of the cheerleaders and they put her through hell for the rest of her senior year Laurel uses that event to force herself to step out from behind the camera every once in a while and start living. Now ten years later Laurel is a freelance p ...more

There really isn't any conflict other than a bit of self manufactured drama (that does get worked out), but I did still enjoy the book. No big conflict worked since it's a novella. I felt so bad for Laurel in the beginning of the book, the teenage y

Since yesterday was the 4th of July, I decided not to work on academics. I saw the Brandy Walker had hit publish and shared it on FB! I pounced. I mean seriously, look at that cover!

I LOVE second chance romances, especially when high school vs adulthood is involved. Granted, these two were not involved in high school, but the actions that happened during high school is why I consider it a 2nd chance romance.

I enjoyed watching these two characters get to know the adult versions of each other wh
