Holy Shit!!!! This book is so amazing!!!! Starting at the beginning with Bedrock it’s got love, mystery, sex, action packed! and just…...feelings. It’s feeling lonely & lost. Feeling lust & passion. Feeling sad & defeated. Aah-Mazing!

Bedrock opens in a horrible scene where Addison is fighting for her life. We quickly go back in time to her college days and we meet her BFF, Jess and get introduced to her would-be husband, Patrick. She is also trying to overcome her childhood. Addison’

Addison has been second best her entire life. Well, SHE has always been a total catch, but she was always treated like a second-class citizen. When her mother died, her grandparents only took her because she reminded them of their daughter. How shitty is that? Grandparents were MADE to cuddle and comfort you – I suppose they didn’t get that memo.

In college, Addison finally finds someone to love her. He is a real catch… Smart. Handsom

This is about Addison Greyer who is married with 3 kids. She is bored and doesn't want to be a stay at home mom. Her husband suddenly says he has to work in China for a year and leaves her alone with the kids. She gets stuck in an elevator on the way to an interview and has sex with the handsome guy in the elevator. She accepts the job and starts a love affair with the stranger who turns out to be a billionaire. Several major things happen in this book. I think Britney is a good writer but I fou ...more

Bedrock is captivating and interesting. As a book it tells a number of stories from the lives of the characters which gives a feeling of depth. At its heart, though, this is a story about choices and the opportunities that life throws up. There is love, betrayal, intriguing personalities and lovely scene setting. This is a book with plenty of adult themes and while not graphic in detail it is not shy about its content. There is also something just beyond real about this book, somehow just too mu ...more

Bedrock is an absolute jewel of a story. The adrenaline is still pumping and my thoughts swirling!

This was a story that just grabbed you at chapter 1 and if you survive it, you are on your way to an amazing read.

Intelligently written story of choices and the consequences of those choices. All choices have consequences, some good, some bad.

Bedrock is a roller coaster of emotions. Lot's of twists and turns. Every chapter a page turner. Every page a WOW factor.

Addison has her life very carefully p

Bedrock is a gem of a book. You look at the cover and you think okay what is this book about because the cover is plain. I have to say that sometimes I do judge a book by the cover and if you do for this one you are going to miss out on the best book ever for 2013. I have a few and this one is on my top 10 list because right from the first page I was hooked and I could not get enough as a matter of fact I needed more.

Can you imagine you are in a marriage you have children and you are in love wit

My Rant: Bedrock completely rocked me. In the beginning of the book you don’t get to ease your way into the plot the author begins the book with an explosion of action and your left wondering how the hell did Addison get her self into this position and what in the world is going on. You open the book and the author is pulling at your emotions with a simple hook that doesn’t seem to relent, you begin to get dragged into the story and at this point there is not turning back because you are committ ...more

HOLY COW. I don't know where to start with this review. I read it for our blog and seriously thing so many people should read this book. it is highly highly highly suggested. There is a love story, and I am always a sucker for a love story. But what an emotional rollercoaster this one was. There was strength, love, loss, fear.. so many emotions this book evoked in me. Addison, is amazing. She breaks out of her shell and becomes this amazing woman. And william, well. STUD- i think that says it al ...more

This book was well written. It grabbed your attention from the beginning and didn’t let you go. Once I started reading it I was wondering what the hell was going on with her being beat like she was. I mean anyone that was going through that kind of pain would go into the recesses of their own mind to find comfort that she needed.
When it flashed back and we find out more about Addie we find out that she is a woman that has a ton of love to give and is independent on herself. Anyone that went thr

Britney Kings debut Novel Bedrock is a tantalizing and heart felt story about a mother who's perfectly build world changes in an instant. This book is bubbling with love, uncertainty, secrets and scandals. If you were a fifty Shades of Grey fan, you will Love Bedrock

I loved how this book started out giving you a preview of what was to come. I did however feel the first couple chapters were a little slow but once you I got past those couple of chapters I couldn't put the book down. Kings writing

I make no secret about how much I dislike writing bad reviews. It makes me feel awkward and bad because…I almost want to blame myself. I’m weird…I know. There’s nothing can be helped though…I don’t think I am too critical a reader, but I do have certain expectations and ‘reading needs’, if you will.

I can’t lie, I didn’t get very far into Bedrock before I knew it wasn’t working for me, and it took me another chapter or two before it really clicked

Bedrock is a book about a woman and the choices she makes in her life. This is the story of Addison.

Addison was a child depraved from loving touch since she lost her parents at a very young age and she realizes that love doesn't come cheap. As we follow her footsteps we see her as a college student foul in love and dreams meeting the man of her dreams, we see her as young mother way over her head with the problems of childbeari

OH MY GOD! Seriously Bedrock packs a punch. As soon as I read the first chapter I found myself thinking WTF is going on here! Then the story leads to some flashbacks of what led Addie to the point in life she was currently in and at first I was bored. I didn't want the back story. I wanted the now but as I kept reading I realized how sucked in I was getting and how everything was starting to make more and more sense and then I just couldn't put Bedrock down. This one took me a while to get into. It wasn't the writing because I thought that was great. The plot was good and started out strong but something kept holding me back. I kept plugging along hoping that I would get into it and about halfway through I found that not only was I into the book, I didn't want it to end!

Now, back to the beginning, the first chapter was extremely powerful and left me wondering what was going to happen to Addison. Maybe it was the back story that threw

i really liked the story line with this book i enjoyed watching Addie grow more into herself and how by the end of book she knew how strong she was and what she wanted in her life. I also really liked the character's William is one of my favorites b/c i think he's so damaged and i love a guy that's not perfect and is able to overcome what ever his problem is with the help of a good women. As for Patrick i hate him i don't see anything good in this man he only care for his self. I think i hate Pa ...more

I received this book from Roses Book Snobs for an honest review.

This was by far one of THE BEST books I have read in a long time. I was riveted by the first chapter.
A typical house wife, Addison wishes she had continued with her career and not stayed at home with her 3 boys. Although she is desperately in love with them, she feels like their is a part of her that is missing. Her husband is involved with his career that he does not notice that she is a different person to the one he married. Not

I won this book in a Goodreads Giveaway.

This book starts off with a gripping first chapter, where there is no way you can stop reading because you just have to know what happened.

I was a little disappointed towards the middle because it started to have a "Fifty Shades of Grey" feel to it. But the Author did a good job not focusing on the shock factor and keeping to the story. It was a little slow in the beginning but picked up after a few chapters to the point where you want/need to know what is

First things that come to mind while describing this book is Love Square meets Fifty Shades. Ohmygod, this book - I absolutely could not put it down. And because it was "un-put-downable", I have to have to give it a 5 star rating. I thought it was amazing with all the twists and turns and I needed to know what the heck was going to happen next! When I came to the end, I was like whaaaaattttt???? Noooooo!!!! And then I learned there's a part 2. Whew... I seriously almost had a nervous breakdown b ...more

I had this book waiting for sometime in my tbr list and kept on passing it up. I was interested in it but just kept passing it over. Now I'm not sure if I'm happy I read it when I did. I can't believe I waited so long I LOVED this book! But now I'm stuck waiting until October 15th for book 2 and damn it I hate waiting when I get sucked into a story so deeply. Ugh now I won't be able to get the characters out of my head! At first the story felt slow and I was worried I wouldn't get into it, if yo ...more

The first two chapters were a little slow but once I got to the end of the second chapter, I couldn't stop reading. I was able to finish the entire book in one night! I had it in my head that it was going to be so much like 50 Shades, that I was so surprised at the twists. There are similarities, but there is also so much more than a young girl being introduced into the world of BDSM. Just as you think you know what is going to happen next, Britney surprises you with a drastic twist, making you ...more

When I read the first chapter of Bedrock I thought this book is not for me. But I kept reading and I am so glad I did. I found this book to be very entertaining with a few twists which I didn’t expect and I didn’t want to put it down. I loved the chemistry between Addie and William, the flirty/humor they had. The more I read the better it got and I was sad when it ended. I’ve heard this book is a little Fifty Shades of Grey and it does have a few similarities but it’s definitely its own book. Th ...more

Wow!!! I find it hard to believe this is Britney King's first novel. Bedrock is absolutely everything you want in a romance/mystery and more. I read almost the entire book in one sitting, until it got so late I couldn't keep my eyes open. This book is full of twists and turns and edge of your seat suspense. Intertwined in that is a great romance. So many books I've read lately are predictable. I never knew how this story was going to end, until the end. Then, I was left wanting more.

This was a Goodreads win that I read in a couple of days. It's my understanding that it's the author's first book. I thought she did a great job. The story had excitement holding my attention throughout. Amazing that she was able to gather all her thought and put them on paper being a mother of 5. The ending left me hanging which made me think she was possibly considering a sequel. If that be the case I'd want to read it as well.

3.5 - 4 stars...can’t decide.

Here’s the thing, my ratings are really inconsistent and all over the place, but I tend to rate books higher that I compulsively read. I finished this today. All in one day - which is very rare, so I’m leaning towards 4 stars.

This was a freebie from the wonderful Britney King. I bought The Social Affair on Amazon a few months back and just read it a couple weeks ago. At the end of the book, there are instructions to go to her website and subscribe and get on that e

Bedrock is a book that started out questionably for me, but as the story progessed the plot ties together more cohesively and the character development flows. We learn that Addison (Addie)lost her parents at a very young age and was raised by her cold, unloving grandparents. An intelligent, ambitious girl, Addie goes off to college in pursuit of her dreams. She literally bumps into Patrick one day a falls in love. Though Patrick's family is not so accepting of her, he eventually asks her to marr ...more

I loved this book! Its the story of Addison Greyer, it kicks off right in the thick of things so as the reader you are as disoriented as she is. Its written in the third person, usually I don't like that as it makes you feel distanced from the character but Britney King did it really well and I felt very close the to characters and easily felt their emotions. This book has a few unexpected but very good twists, it's in no way about happily ever afters, its about the facts of life getting in the ...more
