Ranbir Dewan is a man of the world. Oh, he lives in a traditional, Indian joint family, but don’t let that fool you for a moment. He eats dinner with the clan every night and touches the feet of his elders every day, but once he steps outside the house, or should I say, haveli, his life’s his own. Well, yes, there is the fact that the business he runs is family owned, but Ranbir lives life on his own terms. He’s never been charmed into any marital alliance and he has women queueing up for his at ...more

Ranbir Dewan is a multimillionaire businessman. Mira has recently moved to Delhi from Meerut. Sparks fly when the two meet. He offers to bed her for a price and Mira is scandalised. But she is unable to refute the deep attraction she feels for him. Would the boss of Dewan Group of Industries be interested in the assistant cook working in his office cafeteria? You will need to read the book to find out.

Ranbir Devan, a millionaire desires Mira, a small-town girl. Though attracted Mira refuses to accept Ranbir’s scandalous proposition. Ranbir is a typical alpha male, egoistic, attractive and bold enough to proposition Mira. Mira is not a push-over even though she is physically attracted to randbir. And thus they start their tussle. A tug-of-war between keeping one's dignity or succumbing to attraction. MM George provides us a great escape route to a world where romance wins big time. I loved the ...more

Excellent writing. Wonderful set-up. Strong characters. Spicy mix of romance, battle-of-wits, humor, raw desire, tender love and relationships.

A must-read for romance fanatics.

‘A Scandalous Proposition’ by MM George is a novella by IndiReads, which remains true to the IndiRead promise of entertaining and 'unputdownable' books.

This story about Ranbir Dewan, the arrogant, multimillionaire, and small-town girl, Mira Talwar, is excellently written and makes for seamless reading. I finished it at one stretch, eager to know what happens next. The crisp narrative, well sketched characters, detailed settings and the snappy dialogues are the USP of this book. It is a typical M

What’s there in a name? You can call her at whatever name you may like, but at the end of the day she will be that charming sweet lady you loved from your mind.
The initial sentence is aimed at the protagonist of our story-Mira, but it is appropriate as well as for the title of the story. For a story of sheer romance by MM George, the name “A scandalous Proposition” seems a bit off targeted. There is noting scandalous in it, there is nothing to be felt ashamed of for our protagonists- Because lov

Mills & Boons of 90’s set in India, was the first thought that came to my mind when I read the prologue, but hold on, there is a difference. The heroine here is feisty despite her bangles, anklets and flowing dupatta, and it is very engaging and entertaining to read stories which one can relate to in terms of locations, culture and rituals.

Ranbir Dewan, is that alpha male, who can’t take no for an answer. Confident, exuding machismo and a little cynical about the ways of the world. He has everyt

Gone are the days when the Alpha Male hero was tall, dark and handsome and they were either Italian or Greek billionaires. These days (perhaps because the European economy is in the doldrums?) they are more like Ranbir Dewan of A Scandalous Proposition: a hot hero who lives in a large Indian joint family but that in no way reduces his alpha-male quotient. Mira, the doe-eyed heroine, comes from a modest background and is the perfect foil for Ranbir. Will she succumb to his "scandalous proposition ...more

What happens when a multimillionaire crosses path with a saucy-mouthed Indian beauty? A fairy-tale romance, that's what! This is a rags-to-riches modern day Cinderella story. But don't you dare mistake Mira to be meek. She holds her own in front of the arrogant tycoon, Ranbir Dewan, no matter how combustible the chemistry between them becomes. It’s for us to see if she can bring this playboy around or not.

The story felt a little shaky in the beginning, but I soon found myself warming up to it.

A Scandalous Proposition is not for snotty literature addicts or those who scrounge around for isms, subtexts and narrative techniques ;) . But this one is certainly for those who relish excellent writing skills, racy plots, passionate, tantalizing romance, snappy dialogues, drool worthy hunk like heroes and spunky heroines and desi settings. The hero Ranbir Dewan is sizzling hot and memorable! So it is time to loosen those corsets, abandon all literary nitpicking and melt into the swoon of MM G ...more

An excellent read, I could not keep it down till I finished it. Ranbir is much more real than the Mills & Boon heroes we used to read about when in college and Mira, she is the real middle-class girl next door. The book is well written and the flow is good. The realtionships between family members as well as between the characters have been well depicted. The author has nicely described the feelings of the characters.

A must read if you are into romance, and it is well worth a try it even if you

So first things first, the title, it sounds quite ‘naughty’ (read: mischievous) ,and the story is for most of the part, also it is quite likable. The book’s main characters are Ranbir and Mira. It’s the tale of how they meet and how they…….you guessed it fall in love. Mira works at Ranbir’s office ,Ranbir is the boss of a large business empire but when he begins to like Mira, the chef at her canteen, he begins to get Mira to like her and the whole story revolves around them in addition to her(Mi ...more

The cover makes A Scandalous Proposition look like a pink imprint of Harlequin Mills & Boon, doesn't it? Well, it's accurate advertising: this story is your standard romance involving a rich asshole and a small town girl, only this type we have typewriters and saris as this is a desi romance.

Mira Talwar doesn't leave a good first impression on her employer Ranbir Dewan. A new girl in Delhi, fresh from a small town in Meerut, she practically collapses in tears as she struggles to use a typewriter

A Cute Pyaar wali Love Story is how I would like to describe this Book. Just like a Espresso Coffee shot buzzes you with Energy, similarly this book fills you with warmth, love & a feel-good spirit. When I started reading this Book, I was a bit Disappointed. Every Author puts in sharp turning points or gimmicks in his Novel to shock or stun his Reader, which I quite didnt find in this Novel. Yet I was so absorbed in this Novel, that I couldnt stop reading it till I finished it.

It is a sweet and beautiful love story written extremely well by the author. Ranbir’s family characterization has been done wonderfully and you would be able to identify each one of the characters. Ask an Indian girl to sleep with you till you are bored of her, no no, not for free, but for a price. That is exactly the mistake Ranbir Dewan did when he came to realize that the attraction he felt for the new to the city belle Mira could not be just overlooked. He tried the age old antics of trying to get himself involved with another woman, but in her too, Ranbir looked for the doe eyed Mira who haunted him so and did not let him sleep in peace.

'A Scandalous Proposition' is about a middle class girl Mira, who has recently moved to Mumbai with her family. She tries her best to not be a burden on anyone. Its also about Ranbir Dhawan who is a stereotypical alpha male. Intertwined with their story, is the young romance of Mira's sister and Ranbir's brother. The prologue jumps right into the story, no time wasted. And then we get to know the characters through different point of views and a series of flashbacks.

A dashing urbane hero who still touches his matriarch’s feet. A fiery small town girl with bells on her ankles. Crackling chemistry and a social gap that seems too wide to cross. Add to that some spicy writing and you have MM George’s A Scandalous Proposition.

I thoroughly enjoyed this story. So much so that I've read it twice. And I'm looking forward to reading again. Sometimes enjoying a book can be a double edged sword because if the author only has a few books published you have to wait which is torturous.

Enjoyed and can't wait to read more.
