Review:
My review of Book 1 is basically a series review, so instead of repeating everything, I’m going to focus more on the things I liked about this particular book.

And one of the things I loved about this particular book was that it was just as amazingly emotional and heart-wrenching as the first, but in a slightly different way. Whereas the first book was mostly tension, longing, not knowing who to trust, and the pain of Zoey finding out just how much Daniel had been keeping from her

A very solid 4.5
Light erotica but hot steamy sex scenes. Humor, suspense, action and a lot of sass and ass kicking. Zoey does most of the sass and ass kicking. But Daniel and Dev do their fair share too.
Oh, and Neil is a fantastic character.
Well written. Great flow.
Loved it!!
Now I have to get the rest of the series.

Zoey may have won the battle against the demon Brixalnax but it didn't come without consequences. Sarah, BFF and member of her team, was tricked into selling her soul to Brix and is now in Hell where she'll spend the rest of eternity being tortured.

Daniel Donovan, vampire King & Nex Apparatus, may have claimed Zoey as his companion but lost her to Fae Prince Devinshea who SHE has claimed as her lover. When a possible plan to free Sarah is formulated, Daniel realizes he'll have to work with his

I left it a bit too long between reading this book and writing this to give you a full review but I do know I devoured this book and that I'm looking forward to continuing the series.

This book picks up Zoey's story not long after the end of Steal the Light. Her relationship with Daniel is more complicated than ever before now that she knows exactly how many secrets he has been keeping from her, things with Dev would be going well apart from the small fact that she still loves Daniel and now her

Lexi Blake knows how to give her primary demographic what they want - a strong woman and two smoking hot men who are gagging for her. Her men are Alpha, her friends are fun, and her enemies, whilst powerful, are more or less good natured, somewhat slapstick caricatures of completely evil antagonists, it works. The sex is pretty hot, one scene in particular (view spoiler)

Zoey, Zoey... you are a thief, NOT a bloody white knight! Zoey is a loyal friend and I'm impressed with the length she goes through for lovers, friends and family.

In this one, Zoey is still her kick butt self finding a way to get what she wants. She is going to steal someone out of the hell plane. This is not easy and her plan is completely hair-brained and makes me question her sanity. The fact that Danny and Dev follow her lead is impressive. Impressive that they love her that much that they w

It's a close call but I think I enjoyed Steal the Day even more than Steal the Light! Of course, being a vampire fan, it helped that Daniel held a more pivotal role here and I was able to really see him for who he is. Despite being firmly on TeamDaniel, Dev made it hard not to fall for him, especially when he proved he was more than a pretty boy out for a good time.

In Steal the Day, Zoey is set on rescuing her friend, Sarah, from Hell. While she's trying to figure ou

And Off to save Sarah we go. I knew it was coming. I knew we were going to rescue her.  Zoey always saves those she loves. She does everything she can for others, and oh my was this a wild ride.

With tensions not exactly in a great place between our three, it seems like the perfect time to plan another job. This time though things heat up and they heat up fast. I loved reading about the dynamic between our favorite three, and i loved

I really enjoyed this one as well.
I'm in love with these characters!
My heart broke for Neil and I was slightly perplexed with Sarah's recovery, shouldn't she be a tad more traumatized?
The only annoying part in this book is the one where Dev and Daniel plan and plot and don't bother to talk to Zoey. I could understand Daniel's need for secrecy in the first book, but not this one, not after the brilliant way Zoey managed to save all of them the last time. She's intelligent, she's not a fragile dol

If you like menage then this book is perfect. I was surprised their love triangle turned out this way, but I love it. Zoey will stop at nothing to save her friend, Sarah. Her ability to forgive betrayal is astounding since she will have to put her life on the line to steal, not one, but two souls out of hell. Daniel and Dev are forced to work together if they will have any chance of pulling this off. They are sexy and very entertaining. The emotional rollercoaster on top of everything is just th ...more

Wow! Zoey is just as sassy, if not more so, than the first book. And quite the annoyance to some as she is repeatedly told. In this story, Zoey wants to go back to get Sarah from the Hell plane.

With how it ended, I can't wait to see what shenanigans Zoey gets up to next!

Amazing Series!!!

Anita Blake, Meet Zoey!!! Loved this second book the most.
Zoey is so tough. I love all the funny, heart-wrenching, sexy drama that goes on in this book and the third book. I wish more people knew about this series because it is in my top reads for right now. I'm flying through these books in my spare time.

Read this book, and I promise you'll start to feel like the characters are all an extension. Of your family.

I enjoyed this book but I actually preferred the first book. It was interesting to learn that Zoey was a descendant of Angels and hopefully there will be more enlightenment on that in the next book.

Again, Zoey heads into another situation like a bull in a china shop. She wants to rescue her friend from Lucas Halfer's clutches, and that means going to hell to do it. But one does not simply traipse in and take people back. She needs an artifact called The Revelation to get in an out with her life intact. As she works on her half-baked plan, she also has to consider her feelings not only for Daniel but the ones developing for Dev, feeling she never expected or wanted. Being the vampire king's ...more

Review is from the bundle that includes books 1-5.

I was craving some paranormal romance (PNR) lately. I read a lot of romance books and putting some PNR into the mix helps break it up and keep it fresh. Also, I just love taking an escape into a world that is completely different. Whether it's vampires, werewolves, fairy, gods, devils, and anything in between, I'll read it all.

This series by Lexi Blake has so much going for it. It's humorous, heart-wrenching, angsty, action packed, and full of

I really liked this book. I liked it almost as much as the first book.

I love the world-building in this series. The way the various supernatural beings interact, battle, love and get on each other's nerves was one of my favourite things about this story. I love the interactions and the human and non-human ways these characters approach inter-personal relationships.

That said, the angst and hand-wringing between Zoey, Daniel and Dev started to wear on me near the end of the book. I get why there w

Oh boy the second book got more into Zoeys world and Devin hotter as ever. I loved that it is the Revelation that can bring everybody together yet nobody knows what it really is. I was quite surprised that Zoey is growing into Daniel and Devin's world in a way that we see her growing up before our eyes. Now Daniel and Devin, well these are two sexy men that applaud Zoey for having both of them in her life. Steal the Day is the second book in the thieves series. It features my lovable trio, Zoey, Dev and Daniel. This book was everything I loved in a paranormal romance story. It was dangerous. It was fantastic. It was a thrilling ride. I am going to keep this short and sweet but Steal the Day was just magnetic. I devoured this book. Zoey is one fierce lady. She is strong, loyal and reliable most times. Daniel is still his brooding self but I could sense he was protective of Zoey. Dev was a hoot. He ...more
