This was the first book I read from this author. I really enjoyed it! I was unaware that this was a book in a series. It didn't feel like I was missing out on any information that may have been previously offered in the preceding books. So I recommend this as a great stand alone book.
I am finishing this review now after having read the other books of the series. This book, and "Splashdown" are my two favorite books of the series for completely different reasons.
