Misplaced Trust

Rate this book
Forever.

That one word was supposed to mean their love would never end, yet only twenty four hours after he promised her forever, Brandon tore it away in a single heartbeat, leaving Alexis brokenhearted and unable to answer the simple question as to why he left.

As Alexis tries to understand his reasons for leaving, while wondering and hoping he will one day return, her life faces yet another downward spiral. She finally learns the truth about both her own and Brandon’s past, which in turn leaves her feeling their relationship wasn’t what she thought it had been.

Trust.

You’re supposed to be able to trust those closest to you, but what happens when the most important people in your life turn out to be those you shouldn’t have trusted or had any faith in at all?

Love, lies, deceit, and betrayal make for another unsteady ride in the final installment of the Misjudged series, with only two options left open for Alexis and Brandon. A happily ever after, or a journey in which ends in one of the most tragic of circumstances?

Sarah, you gave me a book hangover with Misjudged, but this?

Are you freaking kidding me?

It's 3am and I've been hooked on this story since like, what midnight?

First of all. What amazing perfect writing. As an author, never mind being proud of publishing, be proud to give this story to readers like myself, and others desperate to lose themselves in something new and exciting.

Don't worry, I won't post any spoilers. ;)

BUT SERIOUSLY? (You know what I mean! That ending wow!)

Brandon and Alexis are absolutely beautiful. Their story is fluent, written with such integrity and warmth.
I love them. Like, seriously, love them.

The story is paced well, we are caught up in the action of this amazing twist to even focus on the sexy time. (Well, not really because that was damn hot too.)

Yeah, it's pretty damn amazing.

I keep saying damn. Oh well, sums it up right?

If I could give 10 stars I would. Because it's just such a nice and refreshing read.

Filled with love, adventure, difference and friendship.

It's got drama, fun, excitement.

Sarah, congratulations. You deserve all the sales in the world, because this story is amazing,

Well done. Can't wait for Brandon's POV ;)

Sarah Elizabeth, I didn't know if you could make me love a book as much as I loved Misjudged. but the second book you gave us Misplaced trust was so great.. I love the conclusion to Brandon and Alexis's love story.

They were supposed to be stating their forever, Brandon was going to spend the rest of his life with the love of his life. Alexis had just spent the best night of her life with Brandon, she loves him and can't wait to start their forever. its a promise that they made to each other and themselves. but who knew that forever might only last 1 day.

at the end of Misjudged Brandon has shattered Alex's heart, and left her behind. she isn't sure what she is supposed to do with herself, she knows that crying all day isn't the answer but sometimes it just makes you feel better. she has tried and tried to get over what happen, made herself think that its just a misunderstanding, Brandon will be back. but when she hears nothing from him, when their friends hear nothing from him, they really don't know what to do about it.

Brandon knows that he has hurt the one person in his life that he NEVER wanted to hurt, the one person that he can't live without. but some times we hurt the ones we love the most. Brandon has his reason for leaving, could he have shared them with Alexis? YES could he have told her what was going on? YES, but when her life is at stake there was NO way he was going to do that to her.

Brandon coming back when Alexis needed him the most was the best thing for them both, even if at the time it was putting the person responsible for it all closer and closer to them. while I did have it figured out who was responsible for all the problems I really wanted to know the why.

Sarah Elizabeth you are so great, I have loved getting to know you through your books, and I can't wait for more from you!

I feel a little shorted by this book. Don’t get me wrong I was happy that they got their HEA but it just seemed really rushed. Like I feel it could have been a longer book. And then the ending was just like "WTF just happened??" Then you have the epilogue. It was just a little disappointing. I felt like we should have gotten to see and know what happened with everything between Brandon's case and then Neil maybe a little reaction from Ryan and Alyssa. It just was missing a lot for me. I understand the good reviews this book has gotten because of course they gotten their HEA and it was their forever but I honestly feel that it was lacking. I will read the next book which I believe will be from Brandons POV just because I would like to continue this series but I had high hopes for this and it fell a little short. Its a love hate thing with this one I guess. Overall Thank you Sarah for giving these two a happy ending and I will be sad to see them go.

OMG! OMFG!! Sarah Elizabeth is awesome!!

This book starts right where the first on left off and let me just say I stayed on the edge of my seat through the entire book. I never knew what was coming next and when I thought I had it figured out, BAM, I was thrown for a loop!

I felt for Alex through the whole book and I hoped that her and Brandon would have their forever. I'm giving nothing away so you'll have to read to find out if they get it. As for Brandon, well what can I say?!?! He's Brandon freaking Taylor!! You figure it out! He is still Mr. Tall, Dark, and Mysterious in the best kind of way! <3 Him!

WOW! Sarah has done a great job! This book was a great follow up to Misjudged, kept me entertained the entire time and on the edge of my seat the whole time. I really did not guess who was behind the whole plot until well into the storyline (which this is something that I am good at doing, I try to guess plots from the start). I continue to be in love with Brandon Fricken Taylor! Cant wait for his POV <3

I’m not done the book but I had to pause to say the character is made to be so naive and dumb and annoying and I hate that. On numerous occasions she acts out and makes wrong assumptions and she never learns. It’s annoying to see it happen again and again. She always wants to have a conversation but she always ends up yelling, never listening, then walking away... in done my ranting going to try to finish the book now

Wow! What a "Who Dunnit?"!! Alexis is heartbroken, just why did Brandon leave?? In this novel we go on a journey to find out just why Brandon left and spat out "Forever" claiming her already broken heart was delusional and that everything was in her mind!!

No one understands and is there for Alexis like friends, who you really get to know in this novel providing you with a rich and colourful background to their combined lives.

No matter what she refuses to give up, to stop believing in what her heart is telling her and as she tries to dig into just where Brandon has gone and what has happened she begins to discover things she never thought possible.

The sudden appearance of Harry sets her nerves on edge - Who is he? And why is he stalking her? Danger surrounds hims and yet Alexis just can't help herself.........

In a book where lies, love and betrayal from all corners begin to crowd Alexis just who can she trust who can she turn to? The past has a funny way of taking away everything you thought was real, can Alexis hold on or will she fall?

I loved the way Sarah Elizabeth wove a web throughout this book, it kept me guessing the whole way through and even when I thought I had everything figured out she ripped the carpet right out from under my feet!! A true mystery romance novel that is written with a true insight into the characters bringing them to life. The ending will floor you!! It is NOT what you expect or who you expect!!!

I am looking forward to Book 3 which I am told is from Brandon's perspective!

Finally Sarah! I downloaded my copy yesterday and finished it last night. I just had to find out what happened to Brandon and if he was going to come back to Alexis.

This is a MUST Read!! If you haven't read the 1st book - Misjudged, then you need to read it first!

I love Alexis and Brandon. They were frustrating at times because you just didn't know what was going to happen. Sarah kept you guessing which I think is good because it made you want to keep reading to find out what was going to happen next! Only now, its over and I want more!!

There was some mystery, suspense and romance. Quite the mix of angst, intensity and just pure hunger! I loved it!

I had a feeling I knew what was going to happen and who was involved and I was RIGHT!! Pissed, but right non the less... Which still pisses me off!!

Then I almost threw my Kindle against the wall towards the end....just wait! Luckily my kindle survived!

Overall this is a great story and I can't wait to see what Sarah brings us next after Bradon's POV.....maybe a story about Ryan and Alyssa??

Thanks Sarah for an awesome story!

My favorite Excerpts:

"Your boobies, yep, I think I kind of fell in love with your boobies!"
"You love me for my technicalities."
"And you love me for my wit!"
"No, I love you for your beautiful boobies!"

I had heard rumors that this author was a cliff queen and I am so very thankful that I had this book ready and waiting when I finished Misjudged because wowza what a cliff that was. Now as you jump into this book you'll see it literally starts up where the last book ended. So there is absolutely NO lapse in time. These books were just so, omg, powerful. I was on the edge of my seat the entire time I was reading it. You never knew what was going to happen next and I never saw what was coming. These books just kept you enthralled, well at least they did for me. The twists that you get hit with are just, blow your mind craze. I NEVER saw the ending coming. It was quite refreshing to have no clue what was going to happen next, in fact I wasn't even sure I was going to get my HEA. Of course you do and boy is it a sweet one, but what a ride. This is a series I could see myself re-reading. It was just action packed and always going. I loved it. I loved Brandon! I hope you enjoy them as much as I did, I can't wait to see all this from Brandon's POV :)

OMG!!!! I finished this a few hours ago and had to calm my nerves down before writing this review. The only thing I can think to say is ABSOLUTELY PERFECT! Alex is still trying to figure out what happened and why Brandon left. She can't stop crying and everything reminds her of him. She has her roommates Alyssa, Ryan and Neil by her side. While sitting by the lake (where they went when they first met) a stranger shows up and seems to know way too much about Alex and she doesn't think she told him anything about herself. But Harry seems familiar to her in some way. Will she see Brandon again? Can they get their forever as they were talking about before he left and shattered her heart?
***If you haven't read Misjudged, please do and them enjoy this one but make sure you have some kleenex close by, you will need it.***
Fantastic job Sarah Elizabeth, now hurry up with Brandon's POV, please!

Sarah Elizabeth did it again…what an ending!

Misjudged left me with my mouth hanging open and heart being ripped out where Misplaced Trust left me…well pretty darn close the same way.

This book had me zipping through the pages wanting to find out who was behind all the chaos Brandon, and now Alexis, had to endure, why it was happening, and most importantly…if they were ever going to have their ‘forever’ . There were twists, there were surprises, there were tears of sadness, then tears of joy. All of these elements brought you to a heartwarming ending.

Sarah Elizabeth did yet another great job keeping me captivated and intrigued. I thoroughly enjoyed Misjudged and Misplaced Trust. Now I have to sit back and wait for Brandon freaking Taylor’s POV. Which I’m completely looking forward to!

Wow I'm blown away! What a great, unexpected story. I never saw that ending coming until the last few chapters. Poor Brandon has had a terrible last few years. He was wrongly imprisoned for something he didn't do. Then he's beaten badly and threatened while trying to prove his innocence and clear his name after being released from prison. He is forced to leave the love of his life now Alexis to protect her. What a rollercoaster ride of emotions. This book will leave you really thinking about who in life you can trust. So glad they finally get their forever in the end. Brandon and Alexis definitely deserve it. Great book filled with mystery, romance, suspense, drama, and true love. Absolutely loved it.

I am a huge Brandon Taylor fan so I’m gonna go all fangirl with this review. I have to admit I was a nervous wreck going into this book. Sarah Elizabeth grabbed my heart at the end of Misjudged and held on tight until I finally got my hands on this awesome book. Misplaced Trust is a rollercoaster ride to the very end. This is an amazing love story that had me feeling all kinds of emotion. I wanted the happily ever after so much for Brandon and Alex. More than once I had to walk away because the emotion just took me over. Sarah gives this book the right amount angst, heartbreak and Brandon Taylor hotness!
I absolutely adored this book!!!!!

Full series review can be found at http://chiquitablogger.wordpress.com

Misplaced Trust- honestly, these two books felt like two completely different stories. The characters in the first book seemed very different that the ones in the second book. Personally, I liked Book 1 better because it didn't have all the drama and suspense. And, Book 2 is so short, there really wasn't a reason to make it into two books (except for monetary of course)

I'm kinda disappointed in the series. I held onto book 1 for a long time so I could read the series all at once, and I feel a little like it was a waste of time. I can't recommend this books mostly because I didn't care for them.

3 hrs and I finished it! holy crap!

After the cliff hanger that Sarah Elizabeth left us with in book #1, I
couldn't wait to get started with this one and I wasn't let down in the slightest.

Sarah Elizabeth has the ability to keep you hooked with her words. She
will rip your heart out and stomp all over it!

One minute I hate Brandon Taylor and in the next breathe he is the most amazing book boyfriend that ever lived!

Misplaced Trust will have you gripped to your seat with the twists, lies and deceit. The shockers will have you OMFG'ing and shouting WTF...

Another fabulous book in the series and I so can't wait to get started with Brandon's POV.

Wow, Sarah Elizabeth..you've gone and done it again, blown me away with another flawless piece of writing!

Misplaced Trust has you hooked from the beginning all the way to the end. There's so many shocking twists and turns and triggers so many emotions that will just come flowing out of you.

I had my doubts about Brandon but now I just completely freaking love him. I love the storyline between him and Alexis and I'm always, always hoping the best for them LOL.

If I could rate this more than a 5 I totally would, thank you for blessing us with this series and I'm so excited to read the next one.

Following on from Misjudged Alexis tries to understand why she was left all alone, did he not love her?, was it all a lie?
But despite all these feelings she never truly gives up on Brandon, refusing to believe he's not actually her forever.
Alexis is a strong leading lady fighting for her man and what she believes is right.
Clever plot line, lots of suspense, superb writing and a clever twist to keep us all guessing and a misplaced trust...what more could you want?
Brandon of course! And lucky us we get more of his story in 2014!

I loved how this book starts right from where book 1 finished off which left me a emotional wreck and really not happy with Brandon at all.I felt like i was living through Alex reading both the books. My heart and soul ached for her, i cried for her got mad at Brandon, I really never knew what was coming next and just when I thought I may have had it figured out... nope another twist to the plot was thrown into the loop, which was just fantastic. I highly recommend Misjudged and misplaced trust and i cant wait to read Brandon's Pov.
