This was a cute little YA novel (if a little heavier on the 'Y' than I'm generally into).

Jesse is a 15 year old English girl living with her step dad, Stuart, after her mothers recent & sudden death. Jesse thinks that she will never find out who her birth father is now that her mother has passed away as she never told her, but one day she thinks to ask if Stuart knows. He does, and reveals it is none other than legendary rock star Johnny Jefferson - so off she goes to LA to meet her new dad

I hadn't really heard much about this book, until it's sequel, I Knew You Were Trouble, was released in August. Once I read the synopsis, however, I immediately knew this would be a book I'd like. In The Accidental Life of Jessie Jefferson, Jessie, who just lost her mother in a freak accident before her 15th birthday, has been spiralling out of control. During one of her many arguments with her step-father, Stu, she finally discovers who her biological father is - rock star Johnny Jefferson. To ...more

I am such a superfan of Paige Toon and her adult novels, I have loved each and every single one and I always eagerly await her new novels. This is Paige’s first Young Adult book and I was so excited to read it.

Jessie Jefferson has had the worst time of her life. Her mum recently died, and she has no idea who her real father is, as her mum kept it secret all of her life and died without telling her, leaving her with her stepdad Stu. But when Jessie discovers the truth about her real father, she i

An Jessies 15.

I was excited about this book release ever since Paige announced she is going to write a Young Adult book about Jessie Jefferson, the unkown daughter of rock superstar Johnny Jefferson.

I have to admit, I was not quite sure what to expect of it in the first place. When I saw the cover and the titel of the book I was quite shocked because it's so different to her ch

Jessie is a teenage wild child who’s been acting out ever since her mum’s unexpected death on Jessie’s fifteenth birthday. I have to be honest and say that Jessie didn’t make a good first impression with me – in fact I thought she was a bit of a brat with the way she treated people. But my advice is to stick with her folks! It soon becomes apparent that it’s all just a tough girl act to mask the pain and guilt she feels over her mum’s death and the fear that she doesn’t really belong to

Gute 4 Sterne.

I bought this book knowing full well that I would love it! How could I not? Paige Toon is my favourite author after all.
It was really exciting to find out how Meg and Johnny were. Paige Toon did not disappoint with this one. It was a BRILLIANT introduction to her new YA series.
I'm not sure who interested me more, Jack or Tom? I do however know that Lissa is a bitch!
I like Agnes and It'll be interesting to see how Jessie's relationship with all of these new people expands. It'll also be interes

It was surprisingly better that I expected it to be. It was actually really fun to read it.

The only way too unrealistic thing was Johnny's excessively detailed knowledge about a groupie after 16 years filled with a lot of alcohol, drugs and even more random women. How they met, how their "relationship" started, their intimate gestures etc.
Very convenient that Jessie's mom was THE ONE groupie back in the days. Totally makes sense. Not really.

But ok, I tried to ignore this matter and enjoy the a

There are no words to describe just how excited I was to hear about this book when it was first announced. I am a huge fan of Paige Toon's books, having read every single one of her adult books. My favourites are her first two novels, one of which was Johnny Be Good. I absolutely adore reading about Johnny and Meg and so to have a YA series as a spin off of their books I couldn't wait to get my hands on it. I can't really expl

Meine Meinung

I was over the moon when this book arrived even two day before publication day. I was waiting for it since I finished Johnny's Girl and I sensed some real trouble there.

Well, first of all, this is Paige's first YA novel and I was so curious to find out whether the style was much different to her chick-lit books. This is the forth book in the Johnny Jefferson series, I recommed you to read the books in the following order: Johnny Be Good, Baby Be Mine, Johnny's Girl, The Accidental Life of Jessie

I love Paige Toon, as soon as I discovered her I knew that she was going to quickly become one of my favourite authors. On hearing that she was going to be writing YA I was excited but also a tad nervous, she writes chick lit so wonderfully and I was worried that I was going to be disappointed with this.

Paige Toon began by really interesting me with this story line, it was a continuation from one of her adult novels, this is something that I think really makes Toon stand out as an author, she m

Let me start this review by stating now that I was so conflicted about this book! As a fan of Paige’s chick-it books I was in no doubt that I’d read her new YA release. I just didn’t know when I’d actually get around to reading it. I absolutely love Johnny Jefferson. I’ve read Johnny and Meg’s story countless time and I could probably recite parts of the story. One thing Paige delivers in every single book is allllll the feels and Johnny and Meg have more than their fair share of emotions to dea ...more

The Accidental Life of Jessie Jeffershon.

I was a bit apprehensive about starting this book as I don't tend to read Young Adult books, however since I absolutely love Paige Toon's adult books and enjoyed all the books so far that have featured Johnny Jefferson, I knew sooner or later I would read this. And having heard that there is a sequel to this due out later this year, I decided to make sure I had read this.

I was incredibly excited to delve into The Accidental Life of Jessie Jefferson, Paige's first young adult book, convinced it would be an entertaining and gripping read. I wasn't wrong. From the first page I was hooked and although I had a very busy week I devoted as much time as possible to reading it as I was so keen to find out what would happen! I picked up this one a while ago, and I recently needed to change up my books I am reading so I decided to pick this one up for a few reasons, the main one being so that I could read book 2 without spoilers.

The Accidental Life of Jessie Jefferson initially took me a while to get into this story, I found it hard to relate to Jessie,I understand she has been through a lot, and has experienced a huge loss, but to act to selfish and spoilt was wrong, especially as she wasn't the only one dealing wit

Having only recently discovered Paige Toon I managed to read her entire backlist in a week early on in December and have been excitedly awaiting her first YA offering since then.

Put simply I loved The Accidental Life of Jessie Jefferson for several reasons. Firstly I adored Jessie as a character. I loved her teenagerness especially towards the start of the book and I loved seeing how she adapted to all the changes to her world that occurred once she found out Johnny Jefferson was her father. Told by Fifteen year old Jessie Pickerill as she fights her way through her feelings after her mother's death and therefore taking them out on her step-dad Stu.

Jessie is a great character full of sarcasm and Witt she keeps you thoroughly entertained. The sadness and mourning she is going through seeps deep into your heart which leaves

I enjoyed this, probably because I liked being back in the glamorous (or not so much anymore) world of Johnny Jefferson. He's grown up a little since Johnny be Good and I like him a lot more than I did initially. I even loved reading about how Jessie came into existence--he wasn't always an arse! He had cared about people before Meg and the boys.

I have to admit though that Jessie annoyed me quite a bit in this. One minute I was sympathetic to what she was going through and the next she was being
