I enjoyed reading this, but I can't give it more than 3 stars, since it was excesively short and didn't really clarify much about the story. As a complement to the saga it's good and fun, but it's missing a lot to be justified as a separate book. It could be just an annex for some special edition of The Maze Runner, but a separate book seems like a waste for so little.
Also, I was hoping it would include the second epilogue from The Kill Order that was only in certain editions, and that I had to ...more

I really enjoyed this addition to the Maze Runner series. I haven't reread the series in ages so I was worried I'd forgotten most of the story and wouldn't understand this additional piece but it was actually really helpful in reminding me about what happened in the series. I loved the extra memories most of all, especially Minho's at the end. It's made me want to reread the series again. ...more

If you are a Maze Runner fan then you should check this one out. It has some nice Pre Maze Runner scenes.

3.5
A nice addition to the original trilogy. It was really short, but still entertaining. Minho's phase 3 of the trials was interesting, but my favourite scene must be the one where Frypan regains his memories and hence himself. ...more

The Maze Runner Files is supplementary material. It's over quick and it's for people that have read the series already. There are some emails written between members of Wicked and between the people responsible for the virus. Nothing big is revealed, it's just a reminder that there were people behind those projects. More interestingly are a few random chapters from the points of view of Thomas, Frypan, and Minho. They're basically a bone thrown to fans. No big reveals but it was interesting to g

Finally, some answers! I wonder why I bothered with The Scorch Trials and The Death Cure... Only drawback was it's length(too short...), and that's why it got 3 stars. This book also showed me Prologue(about Newt's first memory of WICKED) and 1 chapter(about when Thomas got his new name) of The Fever Code and it was promising, too. I realize that I'm naturally very curious person and can't satisfied until I got enough answers, and that's why I kept reading this series even if I complained a lot

Mini-Review: I don't listen to many "novellas", but this was a nice little refresher before The Fever Code is released in two days. This one-hour short story was enough to remind me of why I was so enamored with this series 2 years ago. The formatting of The Maze Runner Files is very similar to that of Illuminae. I don't think anything in it is absolutely essential to the overarching story, but information in novellas rarely is. It's more about furthering the world-building and character develop

This small book let me dive deeper into the world James Dashner made. From Wok to lost files to Minho. It shocked me what they did with childeren.

I loved this book! It was an amazing add on to the already amazing Maze Runner series's. The book provided interesting and disturbing stories and files that gave background information on the Gladers and what there purpose was in the trails. Even though the information didn't answer all the questions I'm guessing most fans had it gave a somewhat satisfaction of knowing more about Thomas and his friends life before they were thrown in the Maze. I really enjoyed the stories not because they were p

Another book and still no answers. I thought we might finally get some of the memories that we still haven't heard, but no. I thought we'd get more information, but no. The information for the most part is stuff I'd already read and some of it seemed off from the timeline from the other books, sooooo yeah. I'm giving this two stars as I do like the different formats used to try and present the information.

The Maze Runner Files is a short, novelette-length ebook of about 56 pages by my e-reader’s count that provides supplemental material to the Maze Runner series. It mostly consists of internal memos and emails exchanged by the powers that be at WICKED regarding the Flare virus. I would say that these things only offered some mild insights into certain events in the story. There are also three short scenes involving the memories of three different characters, Thomas, Frypan ...more

I loved The Maze Runner, so of course this was right up my alley. Yes it's classified files, but you would think that the files would hold more then what they held, honestly I wanted to know more about Michael as well as Wick! super quick read 2 hours Maximum.. I gave it three-star because it is an okay little fill..

This ebook was totally worth the buy! I loved every little extra in it but most especially the suppressed memories chapter where we learned just a little but more about Thomas, Frypan, and Minho.
Especially Minho's little story I especially loved because it tells a lot about his character and it was interesting and I really enjoyed him using his quick wit like that.
Besides that, there is a lot of background look into the planning WICKED did before the trials and planning the Variables as well as ...more

Maze Runner Files is the story of how the flare came to be and is told in bleeped out recording transcripts and inter-office WICKED memos. It was so creepy. I haven't been creeped out that much since the bridge of Khazad-dûm in Lord of the Rings (I'm talking about book not the movie.) it talks a lot about setting up the experiment and really makes you ponder ethics and science. There is also a memory in here of Thomas remembering how the flare affected his parents and it's really sad. This is a

Personal Response:
I enjoyed The Maze Runner by James Dashner because of how many events happened. I also enjoyed how the author painted an image in my head with his words, and he always had the best adjectives to describe something. I liked how this book dealt with a very interesting futuristic setting.
I thought that the story moves quickly, which made me not want to put the book down.
Plot:

The Maze runner Was very interesting and also a nail bitter. It started off boring but then it got more interesting. This book is based on a kid who came up to another world practically and saved all of them by escaping through a maze. This book made you feel like you were inside the book you can imagine what is happening in your head. This book is very creative i think anyone who reads this would think the same way I think of this book

Actual rating: 3.75/5
I read the very last Maze Runner book almost a year ago, and it was so interesting to dive back into the universe James Dashner created and its secrets. I listened to the audiobook which, I think, really helped me get into these files. A must read for the fans of the series!
