When it was just you and your fight to live, the only thing that mattered was time.

Aside from the Hunger Games Series, I haven’t read very many dystopian novels. However, I couldn't resist this one, especially when it's written by this talented author. I was truly honored to beta read this. Please let me tell you right now, it freaking rocked.

Both the Hero and heroine are strong, badass characters, determined to survive. They both have with undeniable chemistry, and yes, there is

Talk about wishy washy... I was so confused by the end(cliffhanger go figure) I didn't know which side anyone was really on. I liked the idea on the background of this dystopian story. Sad thing is the next book isn't out until 2014 and who knows when book 3 will be out. I will try and keep an open mind and read book 2 and see where it goes. ...more

Loved this and can't wait for book two! Huge thank you to my girl Rachael Wade for hooking me up with a copy of this!

What I liked: I still have not a single clue as that what is going on with the cover, but it is rather gorgeous, yes? On to the story, I found Repossession to be a quick, entertaining read that kept me on my toes the entire time I read it. I never knew what was going to happen, and some things really did surprise me throughout the story but those moments kept me on my feet and wondering what was going to happen next. That sort of suspense kept me turning the pages as quickly as I could read the ...more

I would like to thank the author for providing me a complimentary copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. Providing such does not sway my review in any way.

Now this is a unique scifi/dystopian novel. The book starts right after the invasion of the town of Morton, where our heroine Skylla lives with her parents, and the action starts up very quickly after that. We are introduced to the Invaders and the author describes them so well I could envision them quickly and smell their stench
Maybe it's because of a recent conversation with a coworker, but as I was reading this my mind kept flashing back to The War of the Worlds. The aliens here aren't really anything like those aliens (at least as I remember them--I haven't read it since just before the Tom Cruise movie version came out, so I can't be 100% positive), but that's where my mind kept going nonetheless.

Ms. Wade has created an interesting--and frightening, and at times very confusing--world here. Water-loving aliens have

I received this book from Xpresso Book Tours in return for a fair and honest review.

There are parts of this story that I absolutely love and other parts that had me shaking my head in sorrow. It starts out strong with the invaders... erm... invading and Skylla distraught at her parents' deaths. Then it skips forward and I wasn't too sure just where we'd gone but I carried on reading and enjoyed the first meeting with Sky and Jet.

This book doesn't pull any punches in certain areas and things happ

I'm not much of a sci-fi reader, but this had a touch of dystopian so it called to me to be read. It's a great book with well described characters. They Are bad asses! LOL

An invasion, one of evil intent. The aliens are trying to take over the World! They are killing humans left and right, some humans were aiding the invaders, while some are fighting. (Could you imagine? Me myself would be hiding in a bunker somewhere!) One of the main characters, Skylla, she is determined to survive! But she has

I read "Preservation" by this author a long time ago and I liked it. I didn't keep up with the series however, as I felt it really came to a close in a stand alone. I thought it was good and that was it. I didn't talk about it. I didn't re-read it. I can't remember but I don't think I even took the time to review it. This book, this book was different. I have now stayed up to the middle of the night just so I could finish it! It was AMAZING!!! A term I don't u

In the beginning I really enjoyed this book: the first chapter had me hooked. The aliens and main characters are interesting and unique, the Invader universe complete with many details. I enjoyed this book, but felt there was just a little too much that was attempted to be included all at once. The first half felt like a reasonable pace (though Skylla and Jet are apparently insanely good runners/hikers), but the second half I struggled to keep up with the quick changes and abrupt events.

Repossession is book one in The Keepers trilogy. I am be looking forward to books two and three.

Skylla's parents are dead, and she wakes up in a type of prison. Our planet (though not really ours to begin with) has been taken over by Intruders (aliens). The people that they don;t kill are put to work for them, or sent to training facilities. Skylla's captor and guard (Jet, a traitor in Skylla's eyes) helps her to escape, and so they start their jour

I love to read Rachael Wade's work so when she sent me the ARC copy of Repossession I couldn't wait to get my hands on it. I was a little hesitant as Sci-Fi is not a genre I normally read, very few have surpassed my expectations in this genre and Rachael Wade didn't disappoint. I knew just because it was written by her that it was going to awesome, I just wasn't expecting to be completely blown away. The detail in the writing of Repossession was amazing, I loved the way the characters just came ...more

I wasn’t quite sure what I was getting myself into with reading Repossession having only read her contemporary works, but let me tell you. I am so glad that I did! My only issues at all were that the sex scenes didn’t seem to fit to me. And I ended up with this off the wall feeling that the book should have started about 3/4’s of the way through, told the rest of it in flashbacks and then picked up for the ending. Odd I know, but the thought of it just stuck in my head for some reason.

Repossession is one hell of a thrill ride. Earth is under attack and Skylla’s on the run – finger on the trigger.

Reading Repossession is one of those cinematic experiences only certain authors know how to pull off, among them: Rachael Wade! Part Terminator, part Resident Evil, part Alien with nail biting suspense around every bend. Poor Skylla never gets a chance to rest. Even when she does she’s discovering new things about herself or going after the guy...end of the world style. Yeah, that’s

I liked this book a lot the ending upset me mainly because there was a damn cliffhanger and I didn't get what I was hoping for to happen. Jet he made the book for me, "yes, I'm a mutant alien creature here to take you aboard the Mother Ship. I'm packing heat." He kept me entertained through out the book, "well, what you want and what's actually going to happen are two very different realities." He's honest, "I couldn't, because my need to be near you, to protect you, is so effing strong, it knoc ...more

Repossession follows the story of Skylla who has been kidnapped and held prisoner by the invaders. She is being held captive by a human, whom she thinks is a traitor, but turns out to have an agenda of his own. Together, the two of them escape and are on the run and in the fight for their lives to try and survive......

I'm not a huge fan of the Dystopia genre of books, but this book, the first in the Keepers Trilogy, was wonderful! It had all the little pieces that I love in a book: drama, a little angst, an outside antagonist, and love. All of those pieces come together to make up a beautifully written story. I will not include any other parts of the story to abstain from including spoilers, but I will say this book ends in a huge cliffhanger that left me with a book hangover! IT WILL BE TORTURE TO WAIT! But ...more

This book will have you turned about trying to decide who to trust. Although Skylla’s fate is not exactly a suprise, I still found this to be a real page turner.

The story is well written, and the characters are engaging and different. This is not a genre I read very often, but I can thoroughly recommend this to you.

One thing….if you don’t like cliffhangers – you’re going to be a bit upset….

I received a copy in exchange for an honest review.
