A direct continuation of book 1, Nearly Mended took a super dark turn and I loved every part of this thrilling ride!! Well, excluding the ending and a few things in between but I’ll get to that later. I also have a few crazy theories which are at the bottom of this review...

Megan and Nick are back and together, but both are still reeling from the aftermath of her second kidnapping. To hide from Zander, Megan, Nick, and their families forgo their old lives and start fresh to avoid gettin

3/5/14: It's been an intense 5 weeks, but I'm now sitting at 105K with only 5K left to go. That's right. I got nothing done this past month. I meant to release this last December, but I just couldn't get into the WTF mindset Nearly Mended required. I'm sure you know why. But my booty stayed glued to this

One word: INTENSE!

This is dark, disturbingly so. It's edge-of-your-seat thrilling, crazy, heart-pounding and frightening. We're talking sex traffickers that can't be tracked, sick, twisted individuals that hide within the upper crust of society, hiding behind their wealth and intricate connections. We're talking very disturbing, non-consensual rape and degradation scenes. We're talking borderline psychotic behavior of people wired to get off on the misery and humiliation of othe

Mindfuckery, manipulation, just WOW!

"Because you're the one I want. And this was the only way I could have you."

"Love. Hate. Both fuel passion. Why do you think our sex is so damn good?"

Megan and her boyfriend, Nick, are only beginning to piece back together the fragile remains of their life. Megan was kidnapped twice by sex traffickers and she's bent out of shape, constantly looking over her shoulders, and her life has been uprooted.

Throughout the book, I was feeling this...not knowing what Zan

3 chilling, dark and scary stars

Nearly Mended takes place about three months after the events of Nearly Broken. Megan and Nick have gone into hiding, fearful that Megan’s abductor, Zander, in the previous book, will find her and take her again. Megan is still suffering from the trauma of her second abduction, seeing as she actually remembers this last time and not so much the first one. The beginning of the book is spent with Megan and Nick doing their best to reassure th

I have never suffered so many lingering effects from a book…. I literally couldn’t sleep last night and I can’t stop thinking about the book now. I really thought I loved the first one, I was shocked by the surge of emotions and feelings Nearly Broken brought on. But Nearly Mended was a whole different ballgame. Every emotion I previously suffered has tripled in the worst and best po
Never expected this book to be so good. Couldn't put it down! The story was just freaking superb! When you think that things can't get worse from the first book, this was just a perfect follow up and more darker than the previous one. There were so many details that was too vivid that made me cringe ! Nevertheless I really enjoyed the book. Meg is very likeable in this second series and so is Nick. He doesn't let go of Meg no matter whatever he had to go through. All the characters were

I'm completely TRAUMATIZED, my brain has been thoroughly CRUCIFIED, and my mind has been utterly BLOWNED! Total Book Hangover! This book, is absolutely the BEST BOOK, I have read so far this year (and I've read plenty of books)! My goodness, the plot kept getting thicker and thicker! I was constantly on the edge of my seat thinking WTH else could possibly happen?! Nothing was really foreseeable and constantly had me guessing!

I love the first book Nearly Broken but Nearly Mended is a total game c

Devon Ashley Nearly Mended will take you on one of the most twisted, shocking, raw mental mindfuck journeys ever!
Your constantly pushed to the limits. Always left thinking WTF is going on, with no chance in hell to foresee what will happen next!
I love this series!
Nearly Broken will take you to the edge of darkness but Nearly Mended will push you over into hell.
Can’t even attempt to imagine WTF could possibly happen next!

Wow, my feelings were all of the place with this book. Both h and H, I love with their strong love for each other and their willingness to do whatever it took to make it through her kidnapping and the danger lurking in the shadows.

But you have to know what a great author does to book when your own conflict comes from rooting for the bad guy ... read book one Nearly Broken first if you haven't already.

I'm sure I'm not the only one when I say that Nearly Mended blew me away. It took me a while to actuallty get to it, but I really wish I had read the book sooner. I absolutely loved it!

I thought the first book, Nearly Broken, was likable but not as amazing as I wanted it to be. Nearly Mended was a thousand times better, in my opinion. It did surprise me because I hadn't expected it to be as dark, twisted and crazy as it was. And yes, these are very good things with a book like this. It just was

After reading Nearly Broken i couldn't wait to get my hands on this book to see how Nick and Megan's story continues. Nearly Mended had me hooked again from the beginning.

Megan Whitaker is finally starting to mend, she is seeing the light at the end of the tunnel. Megan is healing and she knows that part of that reason is Nick Ellis who has stood by her side since her last abduction from the Malone brothers.

The conditions were horrific and she barely escaped, killing one Malone brother but the other Zander plans to find her again. When she is taken everything changes, especially when she finds out they have taken Nick as well. Both Nick and Megan find strength t

If I could give more stars for this book I would...Oh my goodness. I have never read a book like this. I was actually afraid to know what was coming next. Never expected half the things that happened in this book. This is another case of Do Not Judge A Book By It's Cover!! I was AMAZED!!! I mean this in a completely awesome way. I’m not even sure where to begin. Nearly Mended was not only an emotional roller coaster but also a complete mind f**k.

TBT the first 20% or so I was lead to believe that Ms. Ashley was taking me on a journey of Megan and Nick’s getting there life back to some sort of normalcy whatever that may be.

A deliciously dark, haunting tale that ‘gets under your skin’!

Devon Ashley’s new romantic suspense novel is an exciting edition to the New Adult genre. Ideal for the 21st Century readership this classy contemporary story incorporates many relatable current issues and elements, which many readers will be able to identify with on a personal level. Recommended for older readers due to the explicit language: mature and disturbing situations and sexual content* Edgy realism that’s chillingly acute a

Let me just start out by saying this is the second book in a series and please, read the first book to truly enjoy this book.

This book! I am utterly sleep deprived, but if the third book in this series was out, I would stay up all night to read it as well. Oh my goodness. There are not words. This story is really a roller coaster ride!! The feels, the chills, and the suspense. I can't wait to find out what happens, I am totally hoping the nightmare ends

Holy wow!! Nearly Mended was one suspenseful read! How much can one girl take? Apparently, quite a lot. This was such an exciting continuation of Megan's story.

Nearly Mended picks back up where Nearly Broken left off with Megan trying to heal from the ordeal she suffered at the hands of the Malone brothers. She's changed - how could she not? The traumas she endured have her doing her best to learn all she can in order to prevent ever being in that situation again. Or to at least be

It was an emotional rollercoster that's for sure. I thought Zander couldn't get any more fucked up but I was wrong. Boy I was so wrong. I thought I knew his limits but the guy just doesn't have any limits. Like omg, I just don't know what to say about that fucker. I just hate him and everything about him. I hate what he did to megan, what he did to her, what he exposed her to, what he keeps doing to her, I hate what he did to Nick, what he made him do, what he has done to him. This book was quite intense and dark. Unfortunately I haven't read the first book before reading this one, but the author gave enough background so I didn't feel lost. Megan who is slowly recovering from being abducted by a sex trafficker in the past, is once again pulled into the world of painful and frightening submission. This book plays with your emotions as Megan mentally fights to survive and escape from Zander, a masochist. Megan realizes that in order to stay alive she has to pretend to ...more

First of all- This book deserves way more than 5 stars. This book made "Quintessentially Q" look PG in comparison.

After I finished this book my first thought was- Oh, what I wouldn't give to pick Devon Ashley's brain. "Nearly Broken" blew my mind but this book? Absolutely took my breath away and left me speechless. I have waited a few days to try and formulate a review that would do justice to this masterpiece but I am still in awe. I'm on little sleep being up all night to finish this. Mind Blown. Can't wait for next book. I felt so bad for Nick in this book and was sure I'd hate Zander afterward. I almost wasn't going to finish the book because how could I ever look at Zander the same. One of those book where the bad guy is soo bad that you can't stop reading more and more about him. I read the first book last year and had to refresh my mind to recall the story but once I started I couldn't put it down. Now eagerly waiting for the third book in the series. A must read for romantic suspense lovers.

A warning to include--There are some scenes that may not be suitable for some readers but if you are looking for a twisted dark character, this book is for you. The story is chilling

I was gifted this ARC by the author for a honest review. The acts I read in this book was just WOW....the way Devon writes, it sucks you right into this book as if you are in the room with these people. Sex trafficking is the worst possible thing that can happen to a female, but when a male gets into it, to save said female from rape, well, I just cant say looked like finally there would be a happy ending, but alas... book 3 is to follow.
May Megan & Nick get the peace they deserve.
