Follow We Will: The Fall and Rise of Rangers

Rate this book
When future generations ask who saved Rangers and revitalised the club thereafter, the fans of today can say with some 'We were the people.' The saga of Rangers is a tragic one. It is the story of the fall of Scotland's most prestigious football clubs. A tale of hate and accusations. One which blurred truth with speculation and turned a trial into a witch-hunt. Yet it is also a tale of loyalty in the face of unprecedented adversity. In Follow We The Fall and Rise of Rangers we hear the story of the fans. Within these essays and interviews is the uplifting tale of how they rallied to protect the club they loved and how now, against all odds, they are helping to put it back together.

A detailed documentation of how Rangers fell from the top of its perch. But there is more in here than just the simple exploration of the why's and the how's.

Particularly thought provoking is the chapter that discusses sectarianism, but each and every chapter is interesting in its own right.

If you're a Rangers fan, then definitely read this. If you're unfortunate enough to support another team (:)) then approach this with an open mind and do not dismiss it as a book not worth reading because it is written by Rangers fans.

I read this on and off for a while, different authors offer their perspective on the Rangers saga. Its OK if your interested in that sort of thing but sometimes its a bit like reading a bad tabloid news analysis story.
