Harry S. Dent, Jr. (born 1950) is an American financial newsletter writer.
Dent writes an economic newsletter that reviews the economy in the US and around the world through demographic trends focusing on predictable consumer spending patterns, as well as financial markets, and has written several books.
I would have given 4 stars. Sadly, toward the end, he cherry picked some tax data to try to imply that the wealthiest 1% pay a higher tax burden (the opposite is true and was true at the time of writing).
Listened to the abridged audio book. Written in the 90s, Dent nailed the future economy of the early 2000s with eerie accuracy. His methodology of prediction is as close to prophecy as economics can get.
