I liked the description of the story, but I didn't love the style, and there's less atmosphere than I expected, which is why I'm not giving higher marks. Someone else may award a higher rating.

We start in Monaco but only really see a dock where the super-rich tie up their yachts and cruisers. The protagonist Sadie is a divorced businesswoman with a higher degree in nutrition. She's waiting for the airline to find her luggage and rather stupidly has flown in wearing high heels - last thing I'd w

I have found myself completely taken with this book. It is filled with such funny banter back and forth between the two main characters. I did not want to put this book down. It isn't too heavy, it has a great story line. it is a quick read with sweet characters in both the main and the supporting characters, this with the exception of the villain. I definitely recommend this book and this author!

Wow! If you love romance! Passion AND a gripping story then look no further...Debbie captures the reader beautifully pulling us into a world of intrigue, hope, love and dilemma!
And absolute gem of a book that I could not put down! The characters are totally believable, the setting couldn't be more amazing and the story is just perfect to escape into.
Highly recommend this fantastic book!

A great debut novel from the lovely Debbie. A story full of believable characters written with warmth and humour and also a sprinkling of sexiness and why not?

Wonderfully romantic and superbly written, 'Take a Chance on Me' is the perfect sexy and heart-felt novel to while away an evening with.

Straight away I connected with Sadie. She was fun and cheeky but professional, making sure that nothing would come in the way of her making the best for herself and her two daughters. She was a hugely original heroine, and she felt very real and human. Her motives, hopes and dreams were all understandable, and I think Sadie's story will resonate with a lot of fe

I don't know about you, but I have (at times) been oblivious of being watched. I can also remember a time when I meandered around a jetty, approaching the queue of people, and like Sadie in this novel, tried to pretend I belonged. I've been in the luxury world and really did fit in, and this novel fits into that world too.
I can see why the author, Debbie Flint, is a QVC presenter. She did one heck of a job in the presentation of this romantic novel. I think you will like the feisty, single mom,

I really liked the story line in this book. It's a story where both the male and female characters work hard to change the course of their own lives, despite their circumstances.

Sadie is a single mom who is trying to make a better life for herself and her two daughters, and despite the odds is keeping afloat with the amazing support of her mom. This book is definitely rated, i.e. 18+ so not for the kiddos.

This story started out very strong. We meet Sadie, on a business trip to meet with a prospective investor. With some free time on her hands and a borrowed “Open House” invitation, she's at the docks, nervously boarding a yacht under the pretense of being someone posh who might actually want to buy a yacht. After getting thrown off said yacht, she meets Mac, a deckhand on another yacht.

I connected with and loved Sadie right from the beginning. She's a little a

Take A Chance On Me is a sexy, funny, realistic feeling story of a single mom who wears many hats (as most moms do), doing the best she can to survive and provide for her two girls and herself. She has no need for a man in her life – well at least until her girls are grown and on their own… why complicate everyone’s life with the trouble and work a man involves. No, they’re just fine on their own. Now she just needs to land this investor and they all will

This had all the elements I look for in a fun romance but...somehow although it was a well written book, it just didn’t really work for me. I just felt everything seemed a little off, a bit flat and monotone, when I was expecting glorious colour. Still, that’s just my view remember.
I loved how it started, but then it just seemed somehow all a bit of a jumble, with plots getting overcomplicated

Why aren’t there more mature, sexy, smart women taking the lead in romance novels? I’m sure many authors think that’s what they’re writing, but then it turns out the characters are tragically flawed or they’ve got some ditzy quality. Fortunately, Debbie Flint doesn’t avoid this kind of superwoman. An independent business scientist, devoted mother, daughter, someone wanting to improve her relations with her sister. And since this is a modern romance, she’s good in bed, too. And not meaning to spo ...more

Not exactly sure why I requested this. I mean, I liked the cover. I've been on a book withdrawal for a while now and have been in desperate search of a sweet read, so I grabbed this.

Like I said, requested for the cover. It looked like Hollywood glamour, could you blame me? It sounded a little like Fifty Shades of Grey but I fought those creeper vibes.

After Sadie Turner flies to Monaco for business, she finds herself soon stumbling into a yacht, so she decides to climb aboard and pretend to b

After reading The Legend of the Gypsy Hawk by Sally Malcolm, I was not disappointed with another Choc Lit publication. We have two characters whose chemistry starts sizzling almost immediately. Sadie is strong, smart and lovingly relatable. Mac falls perfectly in line with Choc Lit’s all important ‘irresistible man’ requirement. A super rich, good-looking businessman w

I read this book when I was in need of a fun read and it certainly lifted my spirits and actively made me chuckle in places! Sadie's a great character and you can't help loving her and admiring her. She's no silly simpering Miss, she's a level headed business woman with a task ahead of her that gets a little derailed on occasions by the sexy Mac.
Debbie Flint has a distinctive 'voice' all her own - and Sadie's story is told with humour and sensitivity as she struggles to promote her business pla

This is the story of Sadie and Mac. They meet in Monaco and both pretend to be other people. Of course all is revealed in a rather obvious way. Sadie is due to make a presentation to a very wealthy man the next day. Mac pretends to work on a super yacht, but of course it is his!
The love story itself was a little frustrating as I felt they would have reached the obvious conclusion long before they did. As far as all the business shenanigans went, I fount it all too confusing for words! I did like

Thanks to Netgally and Choc lit for letting me review this fantastic book.
Loved, loved all the characters (except the villain) and the easy relationship that quickly developed between Sadie and Mac. There were times that I thought now it is the end for Sadie and Mac but Debbie Flint brings them together again and again. The mysterious person at the beginning had me a bit worried. Loved the accidental meeting of Sadie and Mac and that Sadie will do everything in her power to provide for her fami

Take a Chance on Me is an excellent contemporary romance story.
Max and Sadie from their first encounter they instantly have a strong emotional connection. The characters are perfectly rendered, delightful sensual scenes. A beautiful story of romance entwined in with an interesting tale of new beginnings and sometimes second chances. It was fast paced, suspenseful and the storyline connected with the characters perfectly from beginning to the end of novel. New and fresh with a magnificent ending

Told in alternating POV between Sadie and Mac, this novel combines a raunchy romance with a great plot. I loved the build up of tension, waiting for all the little lies to blow up into a drama. I found Sadie to be likable and relatable. Mac had more depth than the typical playboy billionaire and I liked him more than I had expected to. I often find "billionaire romance" novels over the top and unbelievable, but this one was much more realistic.

This book from publisher 'Choc Lit' is very good. It is well written and has a great storyline which kept my interest. I would say this book was quite raunchy but not explicitly sexy. Sadie is a divorced working mother of two. She is given the chance to pitch a sales deal to billionaire Mac, not realising that she has already met and slept with him. When she is about to do her sales pitch, both she and Mac get a shock finding out who each other is. We follow their adventures, as they both find l ...more

How can Sadie a feisty, sexy single mum and businesswoman put a ban on men while she is on a business trip, especially when she meets Mac a playboy billionaire. Sadie keeps telling herself that she is here for an important business deal only, her subconscious is telling her, what harm is in a one-night stand, no one is going to find out.

I for one enjoyed finding out how Sadie juggled her steamy affair and her business deal.

An enjoyable read.

I thought this was a great read! I really enjoyed the characters. It was a bit slow getting going, but once it did I really didn't want to put it down. The only reason I gave it four stars was because at times it did seem to drag on in spots. I was really happy with the way it ended and the monologue. I most definitely would refer this book to family and friends. I would also read future books from this author. Great book! ...more

OMG I read choclit, who'd have thought?

I downloaded this as a holiday read, knowing that it's not something I would normally pick up. I have read Debbie Flint's TTFLS and enjoyed her writing style so thought I'd give it a go. I'm so glad I did. I finished it in two hits, loved Mac and recognised a few people in Sadie! Uncomplicated yet enthralling, simple, but so well written you won't want to put it down. A thoroughly enjoyable read!
