This second Grace of Gratitude Journal is stunning! With Tara Thelen's artistry, and Deborah Perdue's sharing her gratitude, I am inspired to record my own blessings. As we are blessed, it is a blessing to share with others. I hope these Journals will travel the world helping others to live a more abundant lives, and that they will share their bounty.

It doesn't matter who you are or what your spiritual belief system is, if you want to improve the quality of your life, one of the simplest yet most profound things you can do each day is to simply practice the act of gratitude.

As Deborah Perdue writes, “Feeling appreciative, feeling grateful, and recognizing the blessings in our lives can be a direct line to more joy!”

To help us transform the act of “counting our blessings” into a daily practice, author Deborah Perdue and artist Tara Thelen have combined their talents and created the Grace Of Gratitude Journal!

This beautifully illustrated journal is filled with inspiring quotes, original artwork and blank lined pages that make it easy to record the things you are grateful for each day!

The spiral-book contains enough pages for you to record 40 days’ worth of entries. Each journal page contains 10 blank lines – widely spaced for those with large handwriting – with lots of white space for those who like to doodle and draw too!

What I like the most about the Grace Of Gratitude Journal is that it has something for everyone: beautiful artwork – inspiring quotes – and lots of space for both the writer and the artist in you!

Deborah and Tara have created a beautiful book that you could enjoy even if you never made a mark in it - but the Grace of Gratitude Journal is so inviting, you will want definitely want to make it your own!

This beautiful journal is also suitable for gift-giving.

Several years ago I started keeping a Gratitude Journal, but like most new habits, it was easily pushed aside once life got busy. I tried to write down 5-10 things I was grateful for every evening. The journal is still in my night stand drawer. But, late nights and early mornings have made it easy to put off writing down those blessings from the day.

Many people have reported that writing in a journal is healing and helps you recognize the blessings (big and small) in your life. Marking the simple gratitudes like a kind gesture from a stranger, a giggle from your child, a rainbow on your drive home, or a gorgeous sunset to end your day remind you to find the joy in life. The big moments like your son's concert, getting an "A" on a test, good health, and a date night with your husband can help you see you are on the right track. All those moments, big and small, can be forgotten in our busy lives. By writing them down you can focus and remember all those moments that make a life. Then when a bad day comes along, looking through your journal can help remind you that whatever it is that is going on really isn't so bad.

In Purdue's journal, she offers forty pages of space to write. You can date it and there is plenty of space for writing. The opposite page either has a quote or a gorgeous water color painting. Depending on how many things you write, you could use a page for each day or even each week. I like that it is open ended. There aren't numbers that make you feel like you have to write a certain amount. I also like that it is spiral bound for opening and laying flat while writing or opening it completely to that specific page.

This journal is perfect for the beginner or someone who has been journaling for years. It is a beautiful addition to your journal library.

Gratitude is something that too many of us don't focus on. Too often we only think about the difficulties in life, we don't look around us at the blessings. Expressing gratitude, whether it be to God, to the people around you, to the universe or just acknowledging it to yourself, is so important. At times in my life I have had my own gratitude journals, where the only things I write are about things I am grateful for. It's a beautiful practice and truly does allow happiness and peace into your heart. As often happens though, I get a bit lazy or unfocused and stop recording and opening acknowledging my blessings. But, recognizing that for which we are grateful allows us to feel more joy, more happiness.

Normally I prefer a lined journal with no other distractions. No quotes, no pictures. The Grace of Gratitude journal, however, is wonderful. The illustrations are lovely and the thoughts and examples provided by the author are terrific prompts for writing about your own thoughts of gratitude.

This would make a lovely gift.

I bought my boys gratitude journals for Christmas and did not consider getting one myself. When I was approached to review this I knew now was the time to start to count my blessings. I loved this journal. I have been using it for about a month and I think it has really helped me to stay focused on the positives and not the negatives. This can be hard when you can have a bad day or things seem to be going wrong. There were lot of times after a long day that I went back and read what I had written and I was refocused and ended my day on a positive rather than a negative. The book is also filled with beautiful and colorful pictures and wonderful uplifting quotes. What a blessing this journal has been! 5 stars

The Grace of Gratitude Journal is a beautiful book. The illustrations by Tara Thelen are vivid, colorful and gorgeous and the text by Deborah Perdue is thoughtfully written, sparking a deeper consciousness not only of the world around us but also the inner world. I am not surprised that some other reviewers found it difficult to write in the journal because it was just so lovely. They suggested that you might want to buy two, one to use and one to frame the illustrations. That is a very good suggestion. I would suggest you buy three. One to use, one for the illustrations and one to give away to someone special!
