In the tradition of Janet Evanovich and Susan Elizabeth Phillips, Juliet Rosetti ups the ante in her laugh-out-loud funny Escape Diaries series, as Mazie Maguire must use any means necessary to keep her main squeeze out of the slammer.

Once you escape from prison and ride off into the sunset with the gorgeous guy who helped you nail a killer, you live happily ever after,

I really loved this! It was just what I needed. There were quite a few laugh out loud moments in here. There's been a recent trend in the mystery with a dash of romance genre that have ladies as the lead where they try to be funny and it has fallen flat for me. Either they come off stupid or it seems like they try to hard. Mazie didn't do that. She wasn't snarky to the point of making me not like her and she wasn't so dingy that she was stupid. In fact, she kind of reminded me of me...minus the ...more

3.5 stars - I really enjoyed this book. The mystery and suspense was good but it felt it really was lacking in the romance department. I need more Ben and Maize. I'm really enjoying this series and looking forward to reading more!

Mazie and Ben... Gaaah these two are cracking me up!

This book takes place 7 weeks after Mazie's big prison escape and 6 weeks after she and Ben's brake-up. Yeah, they had 5 passionate day and broke up. Now she's works as a mystery shopper for a company. But her boss Rhonda (the Cougar) fire her because of her report and Mazie sees her with Ben -kissing- the same day. Yeah!

Anyway, same night Ben finds Rhonda dead and apparently he's the last person who saw her alive too, he becomes the main susp

I see this book as more fun Chick-lit than mystery/suspense. There is no real mystery here, I guess (correctly) who the real murderer is from the get go. But it doesn't mean that this book not worth-reading. Because if you're looking something quick, not so serious, and hilarious, then Crazy For You definetely a MUST-READ.

I adore Mazzie. How often you read about a romance heroine who is an ex-convict (well she was wrongly convicted, but still...) and now a lingerie
Crazy for You by Juliet Rosetti is a December 2013 LoveSwept publication. I was provided a copy of this book by the publisher in exchange for an honest review.

It is with a heavy heart that must inform you that Ben and Mazie have not survived as a couple. After Ben is offered a job which would require moving, he and Mazie argue. Ben wants her to allow him to support her and Mazie needs to feel independent after being in prison. But, Maize's days as a school teacher are over and she is so despera

Crazy For You is the enjoyable follow-up to The Escape Diaries. One thing I like about this series is that it is a little different to your normal romantic fiction. The situations and characters are just a little bit too the extreme, sort of a National Lampoon of Romance is you know what I mean.

So we join Mazie post split up from Ben, struggling to pay her bills, and working a job that’s not on the up and up to say the least. The humor, situations (more murder) and

From time to time I'm gifted with or directed to something "I had better read", so I do and am usually rewarded. That's how I was introduced to Tony Hillerman and the Navaho Tribal Police series. The Mazie Maguire mysteries by Juliet Rosetti is in that category too; the original hook for me was that the stories took place in Wisconsin.

Last year I had the pleasure of reading an ARC of The Escape Diaries. A Book that was filled with excitement, charm, funny one liners and romance. That is where I met one amazing heroine, Mazie Maguire. A Wrongfully accused pampered ex housewife who was sent to prison for her husbands murder. After escaping prison during a storm, running around the country desperate to prove her innocence and falling love along the way she's back in another crazy race to find a killer. This time though it's not ...more

When I first saw the synopsis for this and it said that it was similar to Janet Evanovich's writing, I in no way believed it. After reading, though the writing styles weren't exactly the same, they were uncannily similar, as were the plots. However, this story focused more on the romance while Janet splits both the romance and plot pretty evenly, at least, she does in her One for the Money s

Mazie Maguire, recently out of prison now that her conviction has been overturned, may have her freedom, but she doesn't have much else. Her happily ever after with the handsome Ben lasted all of five days, and she is left with little more than a tiny apartment, a crappy job, and a car she calls Pig. But of course, this is Mazie we're talking about, which means that no matter how bad things get, they'll never be boring!

Before she knows it, she's traded in her mystery-shopper job for slinging la

The benefits of reading Crazy for You:

The newest heroine for all of the wrongfully accused and, in fact, anyone fed-up with life’s injustices against the innocent is (drumroll) Mazie Maguire.

In book one of the Life and Love on the Lam series, Mazie managed to exonerate herself from wrongful imprisonment with the help of TV cameraman Bonaparte (Ben) Labeck. This time she is helping him after he is named the primary suspect in the murder of her egomaniacal, bitch of a boss. Mazie goes into ‘uncove

I didn't read the first book in this series, The Escape Diaries, before picking this one up on NetGalley. That meant I spent the first several chapters of this book playing catch-up, trying to pick up from context all the stuff I would have known if I'd been more prepared. I managed, though, and though it took a little while, I appreciate that Ms. Rosetti didn't just give all that background information in one huge, boring info-dump, but spread it out over the course of the first few chapters in ...more
Definitely a fun read, as Mazie is put once again, into the middle of murder and mayhem, all while trying desperately to be a law-abiding ex-con! Apparently Mazie is a magnet for trouble and this time she has to help clear her ex-boyfriend, Ben, who is under suspicion for the murder of Rhonda, Mazie’s nasty ex-boss. Can she do that and still keep a romantic distance from Ben? Can she keep them both out of jail AND find the real murderer?

Note: I received a free copy of this book for my honest feedback. I was not paid to write this review.

Crazy for You by Juliet Rosetti is a fun, cozy read with romance, mystery, and a female heroine that doesn’t quite know what she’s doing. It’s the second in the series but can be read as a stand alone. It does, however, give away some spoilers for the first book if you’ve never read it, in particular about the romance between Mazie and Ben.

In this book Mazie is helping her ex-boyfriend, Ben, sta

Crazy For You by Juliete Rosetti

Sassy yet charming in this fun filled romance of hi-jinks and mystery!

Juliete Rosetti does a fine job creating more adventure in her sequel to The Escape Diaries. Mazie recently out of prison ends up as a barista of sorts at a lingerie coffee shop and has to solve her ex-bosses murder in order to clear her name. Lots of fun ensues as she gathers clues and evidence. In the process her on again/off again boyfriend is also implicated in the murder. Mazie goes double

I'm a huge Stephanie Plum fan. I practically devoured the series when I found about it almost a decade ago, and when I heard this series was quite similar I had to take it up. I was expecting to be disappointed, because Stephanie Plum was the embodiment of everything awkward, hilarious and crime infested and I didn't think anything else could be that good again, but I am so happy I wasn't.

Juliet Rosetti has such an incredible style of writing and an absolutely hysterical character in Mazie. I ab

This was a cute and funny read. Mazie was quite the character and I loved her antics while she attempted to help solve a murder mystery. She had great chemistry with Ben and I can’t wait to read future books about the duo.

Crazy for You is the second book in the Life and Love on the Lam series. Although I hadn’t read the first book, it was easy to get into the plot. A brief overview of the last book is given, but I didn’t feel like it was done as an info dump. I liked Mazie’s sense of humor right

Ok, so this is a first for me from this author. I didn't know this was a series. Nothing in the title tells you that. So as you begin reading, if you're someone like me who's never read by this author, you have no clue what's going on. Sure the author gives you a bare bones run down on what's happening. But it's not much. I would have loved a little bit deeper run through on what exactly happened in the book before this one. The author has to take into account readers like me who may just be pic ...more

What a caper! I didn't read number one in this series, but I didn't have to in order to laugh out loud and appreciate Mazie Maguire's ex-con predicaments. Mazie gets herself into lots of trouble by accidentally getting mixed up in a murder investigation. And not unlike Stephanie Plum, she has a handsome hero to help her out of the tough spots.

What makes this novel especially good is that Mazie doesn't actually need a hero to rescue her, he just happens to make things a little more interesting.
This is the 2nd book in a series, but read well on its own. I'd like to go back and read the first book, but I didn't feel like I missed too much by reading them out of order. This book follows Mazie, who has just gotten cleared of charges for murdering her husband (she was innocent) and immediately finds herself in the middle of another murder mystery. Enter the extremely sexy Ben, who helped to clear her name in the first book. At first I wasn't sure what to expect from this story, and what I ...more

Rosetti’s book Crazy for You tells the outrageous tale of Mazie Maguire. Mazie is an ex-con working at a coffee shop where the dress code is sexy lingerie in order to pay her bills. Her ex-boyfriend, Ben Labeck, is a chief suspect in a murder and Mazie goes on a wild adventure to clear his name. Let the laughing begin.

This novel is laugh out loud funny – not dissimilar to the likes of Janet Evanovich. I don’t think I’ve liked a main character as much as Mazie in a long time. I completely sympath

I received this book thanks to Netgalley and the publisher and I thank them for that. I had not read the first book in this series and the publisher graciously sent me that book so that I could read it first to get a sense of where Crazy for You was going. Mazie was falsely accused of murder in the first book and in that one we saw her hi jinks to prove herself innocent.

I received an ARC of Crazy For You from NetGalley and have just finished it. I hadn't heard of Juliet Rosetti before so didn't know what to expect. What I got was a fast, funny and sassy book which I enjoyed reading. This isn't a deep and meaningful book. It's light, escapist, "you wouldn't believe this could happen to a person" fun. Mazie is just out of prison having been acquitted of the murder of her husband. Despite being innocent, she has struggled to get a job and starts the book working a ...more

I found myself laughing at some of the crazy hi-jinks that go on in this book. It’s a good fast paced story with some mystery & romance. The main character, Mazie Maguire, is great at getting herself into and out of sticky situations without needing a male hero to save her. Ho
