Rate this book
Shanta Rameshwar Rao’s Mahabharata tells the central story of India’s great Sanskrit epic, one of the oldest works of literature in the world. Intensely human in their passionate loves and hates, happiness and grief, the people of the Mahabharata have their recognisable counterparts in all ages and civilisations. Got this book for the kid, ended up deferring it for her and read it myself. A complex story with no moral narrative except 'karma' and 'dharma', war, deceit, victory and vulnerabilities. Cant wait to introduce the story to the kiddo in a few yrs.
