Rate this book
Imagine a map of one of your favorite places but with strange markings like those found on an ancient treasure map. Would you follow it? Louis and Cameron did.

Having just completed fifth grade, best friends Louis and Cameron can’t wait for their summer trip to Lake Oro Family Camp; one week of freedom to run wild in the great outdoors; an opportunity to explore anything and everything in their path. Oh sure, their parents and siblings are coming too, but they’ve developed a few clever tricks for escaping them if necessary. And those tricks come in very handy because when Louis finds a peculiar map of camp, he and Cameron can’t resist the temptation to follow it. The adventure they embark on, however, turns out to be a mystery, and the more clues they find the more dangerous it gets.

Can Louis and Cameron trust anyone? Spies are everywhere! Pirates are looming! And to make things more complicated, the best friends find themselves at odds over a girl which nearly ends their friendship. Is their friendship strong enough to overcome their differences? Will they solve the mystery before something terrible happens?

Join Louis and Cameron on their adventure at Lake Oro Family Camp!

Won this book on Good Reads Giveaway. Thank you! Louis and Cameron: The Adventure at Lake Oro Family Camp was very easy to read and follow. I will give it to my Grandson to read now that I have finished reading it. The adventure of the boys at the family lake camp is full of excitement and mystery clear through the end of the book. Camping in a cabin or tent is always a fun vacation for all even though we may not have the same experiences as Louis and Cameron.

From awsular to groovad, this book was a lot of fun. Very easy read for young readers with a fair bit of action, suspense and lessons to be learned. I enjoyed having the map to refer to as it placed the characters at specific areas and it was easy to follow the story. Good job on your novel.

This was a fun book to read. It is easy to get caught up in the story. The two friends get in and out of trouble while trying to figure out the mystery of the map and staying one step ahead of the bad guys. You will enjoy this and so will your kids or grandkids.
