Insta-love and very uninteresting.
A pity. The blurb sounded interesting - I was hoping for a sweet, hot romance between the doctor and the native American Park Ranger...

This is very short and cliched. Meh.

Too short for me and «no» it's not a porn dialog, but in this case longer could be better and «no !» again. ...more

It was a freebie (luckily so, the full price is far too high) and I guess it might be ok -or not- for a very quick, light read.

As a full-fledged M/M romance it leaves much to be desired.

First, it is too short.
Plot is compressed in a few days, there is no development and hardly any tension build-up.
Characterization is sketchy and the lead is not exactly relatable nor likeable, declaring himself unwilling to embark in one-night-stands after having made out with two men in two days and having told
Too short for any real character development. The boys get into it straight away (mostly off page) but there is an attempt to build a connection.

The community of people around Adrian are accepting and good fun. It's clear this part of the world is special to the author, as the descriptions are strong. Karen turns out to be a great mate and Randall is a doll, but the twisty, dramatic elements needed more tension, more suspense.

It also needed another edit run through. At one point Adrian is calle

Great story

Thank you for the story. Lots of ups and downs. In the end, you are torn between the two lovers. And you want an amazing happy ending. Loved it.

This is something like the second or third gay erotic book that I have attempted, going in knowing that it was a gay erotic book. I read it to read the requirements of a challenge, specifically to read books with erotic themes from the fifty states. Montana hadn't been covered, yet, so I looked around and felt adventurous enough to attempt another gay erotic book. I’m going in on the story while knowing that I normally do not find romances between two men to be, personally to me, that enjoyable. ...more

I liked the premise of this story. City boy moves to wilds of Montana and finds love. Sorta a gay take on Northern Exposure (a show I really liked). The characters had great voice but ultimately were thin on development. I think this is partially due to the flaw that pervades the work: brevity. Every thing seemed rushed through to the very end, as if the author was running out of digital paper (haha) and had to wrap things up to the HEA very quickly.

Which is a shame because there was more than e

It isn't that there is anything wrong with what is in this story; it's just that there is a lot lacking. It has some interesting characters, a great setting, and a set-up which - while not terribly original - has a lot of potential. The writing's not bad at all. But there is just no plot, and the only obstacle that the characters face resolves itself on its own without anyone having to do much of anything about it. A novel without plot is not necessarily a bad thing if there's at least a lot of ...more

A freebie I picked up on Amazon.
The premise of newly qualified city doc heading to Montana small town centre and his adjustment to life there sounded good. However, I think the story needed more page time to develop fully - this fleshed out with backgrounds and more depth would be great.
It was fine as is, a bit nicey-nice,Suffering the short story trap of everything wrapping up quickly. Even the bad boy didnt strike me as very nasty. Enjoyable as a quick coffee break read where you need to conc

This was a good quick read. The characters were very likable and the story was good as was the smut :) My only criticism of this story was what would the chances be that the first two pace people that Adrian meets in a town with 1500 people in it would both be hot gay guys?!?!?!?!?!

Too short for the story the author was trying to tell. So rushed the plot became ridiculous. :(

While I did enjoy this story it was far too short. The storyline could have been expanded upon.
