Desperate to break free…

I've spent my entire life under my father’s thumb, but now I'm finally free to make my own choices. When my roommate dragged me to my first college party, I met Finn Coram and my life turned inside out. He knows how to break the rules and is everything I never knew I wanted. Do you have get a book & it burns a hole in your e-reader? Yeah, that happened to me today. I was just going to read 1 page - 2 chapters later I was still siting at the edge of my bed. I wasn't supposed to read today - I had crap to do!
Then I met Carrie

and then followed Finn

and I was hooked. Finn is a surfer. Has a motorcycle. He is a Marine.

I am not sure I could say this fast enough...

Okay, where do I start? All I know is that I mega loved this book. Like loved-it-so-much-had-to-read-it-again love. OUT OF LINE has got to be the best New Adult book I've ever read so far, and that is saying a LOT since I've read a lot of them.

Carrie really stood out for me in this book. Gosh I adore this girl to pieces. She's the most caring and thoughtful girl. I mean, who would donate their clothes and give up their time to help others? When she's probably the richest girl and you'd expect h

It's been so long since I've sat down to writer a review, but here goes.

I've been a fan of Jen's for a very long time, so when she told me about her new adventure I was supportive, but only after I read Out of Line did I become excited. Jen has taken a situation that is relevant in today's world and given us a glimpse of what's its like to be society royalty. What she teaches us is that it doesn't matter who you are, your heart leads you to where you least expect. Out of Line is a sexy, fun and

There's nothing really wrong with this book... there just wasn't much right with it. For me, anyway.

It had all my favorite pet peeves. First of all, I have no idea why it's called Out of Line. It makes no sense. Well, maybe a little bit, but not in any significant, title-worthy way. Of course in these NA romance books you expect some cliches, but this one had ALL of them, and they were extra annoying. Stupid nicknames that seem forced (and I even usually like the nicknames!). This book was a great surprise,I didn't had high hopes , but turns out that the story is amazing. This book tells us about Carrie, she is the daughter of the senator. he's (not surprisingly) overprotective, so when she decides to go to college her father puts a "bodyguard", the guy is Finn. They met out of the sudden at a college party, and quickly they start to get really close. The friendship grows into something more, but Finn can't afford to lose his job...

Carrie is off to start her new life at college away from her overbearing parents. She is relishing the freedom and keeping her identity secret from everyone because she doesn't need the potential drama.

Enter Finn......I really loved Finn! But he was keeping a secret which could and probably would destroy his relationship with Carrie.

Great start to a series which I will be continuing. These books are quick reads!
2.5/5 stars

This book has me conflicted on so many levels. There were parts I liked and parts I really hated. So no in depth review today, I wouldn't even really know where to begin.

Things I liked:
- Finn - he was actually the best thing about this book. Quite enjoyable, cute and hot.
- Carrie - I liked her when she was sassy, confident and took action without hesitation
- They had good chemistry

Things I really didn't enjoy:
- Finn - (view spoiler)

A few times in my life, I’ve voraciously devoured a book and was just about to finish it and stopped. Just stopped reading when I got to the last few chapters. Why? Why the hell would I do that? Well, it’s because I cannot bear the thought of finishing the book and the experience it has brought me. THIS was one of those books. I got to 85% after reading it all day and I just couldn’t go on. I put it down for the next whole day, and when I finally picked it b

3.5 stars. Out of Line was a nice short read about a marine tasked to secretly watch over a senators daughter whilst in her first year of college. Quite predictable, a few hot scenes and some sweet moments. Nothing exciting but it held my interest.

It's really short book (I've read in two hours) so I don't see the point in doing normal review. What can I say about Out of Line? Well, it's short, sweet and predictable. I suppose this story could be really itintriguing if was longer, had more built up plot. I loved the concept, which unfortunately wasn't used in 100%.

Overall 2.5 stars from me.

This book was like reading a paper version of a mix of movies of Chasing Liberty and the First Daughter.

For Carrie she is super sheltered and finally is free to do what she wants. (Or so she thinks)

She randomly meets a boy named Finn who is a hot surfer/marine (or so she thinks)

Carrie and Finn are instant friends but while he is fighting his attraction to Carrie she is making his life difficult.

I might be inexperienced, but even I knew what a

This wasn't even worth .99 cents in the end.

It sounded so promising too.

It was too much instant attraction between Carrie and Finn. They only knew one another for a day and he kisses her. THEY DON'T KNOW EACH OTHER, WHAT ARE THEY DOING?
Anyways, it was far too dramatic the I want you but I can't have you storyline. See, Finn works for Carrie's father. Finn is Carrie's bodyguard, though she doesn't know it. To her, she meets this surfer guy who's willing to teach her to surf, and take her on rid

The last book of the year [2016] and first book of the year [2017].

A really good sold four-star New Adult romance. It was a definite rated-R movie, not bordering any NC-17 territories.

Carrie is a college freshman at a university in San Diego, CA. She also happens to be a Senator's daughter. And this Senator is over-protective of his little girl, sending security guards after her at every turn.

Finn just so happens to be the man groomed/chosen/hand-picked for the position. As a twenty-three year

I changed my original 4.5 rating to 4 because while I was writing the review I came up with two problems instead of the 1 I originally had and I couldn't rate it with 4.25 or something similar.

Half star was lost in the end when I found out that there is a book #2, coming on 2014. The end isn't cliffy but some things have yet to happen and I was left with a feeling of unfulfillment. The good thing is that I can see why a second book will be out. Finn and Carrie have some serious problems waiting

This book was soooo good!! Totally sucked me in!

I LOVED that we got alternating POV from Carrie and Finn.

I loved that they developed a friendship first (no I love you within 2 hours of meeting).

I loved that Carrie was feisty and independent.

I loved that Finn was a protector.

Fin was H.O.T!!! He surfs. Rides a motorcycle. And has tattoos - need I say more?

Carrie + Finn = HOTNESS!!! Yowza.

I was hoping that we would get to see Carrie stand up to her father.

But the book ends at a gr

2.5 stars, good but not exactly my favorite.

I'm so disappointed. Because I love the basic plot and I love the promise of drama. But the execution.. Definitely disappointing. Carrie's what you call goodie-two-shoes. She's way too kind and to me she ended up stupid. I don't like her character. Finn, he's a normal guy. But the one that really rub me off the wrong way is Carrie. That's why I'm not mad at Cory for calling her a "tease". Because to me, she is.

Overall great plot but bad execution. No

So this book had a Marine in it. Which is a win, since I love the military. But beyond that--I really love the characters. The way they both grew and changed--I loved everything about them, even when I wanted to smack Finn upside the head. And that--Finn. My goodness, you guys. I pretty much loved everything about this book. I can't wait for book two. Literally. Can't. Wait. ...more

First Thoughts: 4.5 stars LET THE FLAILING BEGIN! Oh, I loved this story and all the feels it gave me. I might be in love…

I adored this book. I did not want to put it down until I finish it. Another late night reading and early morning finishing it off..

This is a great story about Carrie who is a college freshman at 19 year old. Her dad is a big time Senator in Washington D.C.. After taking a year off Carrie goes away to San Diego to college to get away from her dad's overbearing control. She loves her family. At the same time she wants to make her own way in the world.

Such a predictable story right from the start. Wanna know why? Because the book tells you the secret right at the beginning!! I wondered what I had to look forward to. I mean I pegged the rest of the story after the second chapter!
Finn was hired by the Senator to pose as a college student to keep on eye out on his daughter Carrie. Once she finds out, what do you think will happen? Come. On.
Carrie and Finn had such a back and forth annoying relationship. I want you. I don't. I want you. I shoul

Loved the story. Great book. What really fucking sucks is when authors don't bother to tell you that there will be more books and that this is apparently a series since the end isn't the end. That is just fucking annoying. And since there is no mention that the next book is even started, (at least from what I tried to find out) byy the time is comes out I will have probably read so many books that this one will be forgotten and then probably won't really give a shit about the next one. ...more
