Rating: 4/5 stars

I really enjoyed Darkness Raging, even though it is from Menolly's POV and she's my least favourite narrator. The plot took a huge leap forward from the last book and a lot of significant events took place that brings the final battle between the three sisters and Shadow Wing even closer. It feels like Galenorn is starting to wrap this series up, and I have read that we will get one more book from each sister's POV and then the series will end. There are a

The war is escalating and things are changing for the DArtigo sisters and in Menollys case, her and Nerissa finds themselves being summoned to the vampire court and before they can decide if the events are good or bad, Nerissa is captured by their enemies and Menolly cannot give in to their demands in this spellbinding Otherworld tale.

Get comfortable and be prepared for the ride of your life as you become caught up in the current events happening in both realms of the Otherworld series with

I was lucky enough to receive an ARC from Yasmine Glaenorn in exchange for an unbiased review. This book will be released in February 2016. This is book number 18 in the Otherworld series. Most authors I read can not keep a storyline going for this long. Yasmine Galenorn has pulled it off brilliantly. This story is told from Menolly's POV, although all the D'Artigo sisters have their moments, as well as the rest of the family they've accumulated. From page one, I was mesmerized. One of the most ...more

After winning an ARC of this book, Darkness Raging, from the author all I can say is grab a large cup of caffeine and get ready for a whirlwind of a ride. Being the 18th installment of the Otherworld Series things are heating up for the DArtigo sisters in a big way. In this book, the journey of the sisters races on and is told from the perspective of Menolly. With the craziness in the girls lives building, this is a journey you wont want to miss. From the moment you open this book, which comes ...more

Eighteenth in the Otherworld / Sisters of the Moon urban fantasy series and revolving around three women who are half-fae, half-human battling a war against demons in Seattle.

My Take
I suspect Galenorn is finally going to wind up the Sisters of the Moon, although I also suspect that theyll end up having their own spin-offs. Then again, Galenorn has been focusing on a different sister in each storymaybe shell continue with that. Okay, so Im yammering on. I suppose its more likely that the Shadow

Ill preface this review with the following: I absolutely love Yasmine Galenorns paranormal urban fantasy series. I dont think Ive missed a novel in the Otherworld/Sisters of the Moon series or the Indigo Court Series. Im catching up on the Fly By Night series. They are all 5 Star reads in my books. They are full of action and adventure. The suspense always keeps me glued to the page. To top that off they are set in the Seattle area which I will

Review originally posted on my blog: A Book Obsession

This series has been very long running, and in my review of the last book I had mentioned that I felt it has been going on almost too long. There was a lot of rinse and repeat it felt, and I have to admit I was a bit leery to read this one as a result. That being said, DARKNESS RAGING felt a lot fresher than recent installments, and I found myself enjoying it a good bit more. It reads almost like a series ending book which I appreciated. From

Menolly is back! If you are a fan of this series, this book is no reason to stop. There are several game changers here that set the events of the final three books in motion. If you love Urban Fantasy but are not familiar with Yasmine Galenorn, you should consider these books for your to-read pile. However, Darkness Raging is not the best place to start if you are new to the series because it is the 18th book of the series. Although Yasmine does try to include a simplistic synopsis chapter of ...more

Otherworld book #18, told by Menolly. Things are changing and changing fast for the sisters and their friends. Camille has been told that she must take her place with the faerie queens soon and Delilah is moving up her wedding with Chase. Now Blood Wyne has decided that it is needed for Menolly to become more than just the official consort of her son Roman, she and Nerissa are to become his wives. And that is just the personal side of things.

On the war front,

I received an ARC in exchange for a fair review.

First off, i want to say OUTSTANDING! Yasmine Galenorn has done it yet again! I refuse to post spoilers but this is a must read. Things are changing in big ways for our favorite sisters. They are facing some of the biggest battle and upheavals yet. This book is full of turns and twists that I didn't see coming. So many things are happening as they get ready to face their enemy! I can not wait to see what happens. All i can say is if you haven't

I've been a BIG fan of the Otherworld Series since the beginning and always eagerly await Galenorn's next installment. (Plus, check out her other series books, just as good.) The war against Shadow Wing is coming to a head and it's do or die for the D'Artigo Sisters. They must prevail or the world may end as they know it. Menolly and Nerissa's relationship is strengthened and reshaped to move forward into their new future. Edge of your seat action as Menolly and crew embark on an extremely ...more

I was lucky enough to win the arc. And as she always does, Yasmine Galenorn put me right there in the middle of it all. Kept on the edge of my seat, and losing sleep. Menolly has an amazing journey in this book. I couldn't put it down. And I wish I had the next book already! Well done. I can't wait for the next adventure!
This installment was wonderful! Lots of action that was focused and moved the plot forward. I especially loved all the insight into Menolly's relationships - with her sisters, Nerissa, Roman. Finally it feels like the sisters are truly growing into the roles Fate has cast them in. Love!

Round up to 4.5 stars. So sad this is over. I wish I didn't have to wait a year to see what happens next. Review to come at AAR.
This book was really good - great even - but due to a couple different continuity errors it lost some of its punch. Also, though I cried three times, I don't think I ever laughed, so I think even without the continuity errors I might still rate it *just* four stars.

Regarding the errors, one concerned the number of found spirit seals. If you've been reading along or following my reviews, you know that eight have been found: the forces for good had four, and Shadow Wing's forces had three. Well,

This is part of the Otherworld or Sisters of the Moon series, which needs to be read in order. The first book is Witchling.

This installment is from Menolly's perspective. This is one of those critical turning point tales in a series. The one that begins to set up those big changes for the eventual end game.
Again a wonderful tale, that twists and turns as it goes on. This time, everyone's world is going to change, some changes bigger than the others, some expected to an extent while others not

Enjoyed it!
I can see that Yasmine is working on tying up some plot lines and moving events to the big conclusion. Lots of stuff has happened in this book and the two before it, and while I'm super interested in seeing how things will culminate, I'm also sad that such a long-running and beloved series is soon ending.
Can't wait until Moon Shimmers hits my Kindle in April!

This is one of a series of Otherworld fantasy novels, about the three D'Artigo sisters, who are part fae & part human living in present day America. One is a witch, one is a werepuma & one is a vampire. They all try to protect earthside, as well as otherworld, from bad things. It's a gripping series if you love fantasy & contains explicit sexual words, here & there.

Amazing read as always with Yasmine Galenorn. Its a must read series for those who like paranormal books. It is a long series but worth it. I have fallen in love with the worlds and the people sad to see it go only got 3 books left then onto her next series that takes place in this world The Indigo Court Series.

I love this series but I fear its end is near. I hate that feeling and I hate change, but it is what it is. Oh but I am still looking forward to the next book. Great read!!!

Yashmine is doing very well setting us up for the finale of the series. She's just smoothly guiding us there. Although I will miss the series I feel it has gone as far as it can go. I've been reading these for so long it will be like losing an old friend.
