If you like time travel, the old west full of new ideas, humor and surprises with a growing romance you are going to love this book. I started reading it and couldn't put it down. The story takes you on a trip from this 2013 back in time to 1870 when the women sewed and took care of the home and children, not go out chasing bad guys, not defending herself by throwing a man twice her size upside down who was getting fresh with her. This woman, Anna, was very different for the 19th century and the ...more

A Tumble Through Time engaged and captivated me from the opening scene.

I so wanted to clobber Anna’s fiance and roommate! I felt an almost instant connection to Anna, thanks to Ms. Hutton’s superb skill in writing Anna’s internal dialogue. More than once, I found myself grinning at Anna’s thoughts.

Both Anna and Wes were authentic, believable characters, and I fell in love with them. Their flaws made them all the more endearing, though there was a time or two I wanted to give them each a firm s

A Tumble Through Time is a wonderful frolic in the Wild West. When everything is going wrong for Anna, she suddenly finds herself in Kansas, 1870. A slow burning love for the town Marshal, Wes, develops and before you know it, it's love, but for how long?

I was provided a complimentary copy of this book by the author in return for an honest review, and I'm pretty certain Callie Hutton is going to be pretty pleased with it! But firstly, I must thank her for offering me this book to read as it was

The last time I read a time travel book was in 1981. I was in fifth grade.

Okay, it’s ten minutes later. During the long pause, I looked up that book from more than thirty years ago. It turns out the author of my childhood favorite and I share an alma mater. Cool. [Ok, digression over]

A Tumble Through Time starts with our heroine Anna Devlin working through some life issues, cheating fiancé, one job almost lost, another bad one taking its place, the death of her mother, and the impendin

OMG, I just finished reading "A Tumble Through Time" by Callie Hutton! It is a time travel romance from the future back in the Wild West of 1870’s.This is the first book that I read written by this writer and I really enjoyed reading it!I love time travel romance! Beware, once you start, you will not be able to put it down.
Ms. Hutton created two charming characters, Marshall Wesley Shannon, a handsome alpha male sheriff and Anna Devlin, an outspoken and guts

The Heroine Anna Devlin, discovering her fiancé's infidelity on the eve of her wedding is unable to accept his treachery. She feels her life is a failure and without meaning. R.T. Wolfe Review of Callie Hutton’s A Tumble Through Time

Callie Hutton has a special talent for plot building. She doesn’t disappoint all the way to the end of A Tumble Through Time. Wes is a tortured marshal in a rugged town of the 1870s. Anna is a feminist bounty hunter in current day times. When she is thrust back in time their paths meet like rhinos who can’t resist the underlying attraction they have for each other. Their love is addicting sweet as are the details of the different eras.

Anna and Marshal Wesley are two souls that travel in time to heal one another. Sometimes the past and the present have to give a little in order to love. In the present, Anna turns to bounty hunting and when she finds herself in the 1800's, the past is not ready for a modern woman, nor is Anna quite ready for Marshal Wesley to want to treat her like a lady and love her like she deserves. Both Anna and the Marshal learn to let go of the past and the present in many ways. Callie does not skimp on ...more

I love a good time travel and this one fits the bill. A Tumble Through Time hooks the reader from the first page and never lets you go. Anna and Wes are great characters. I loved Anna's courageous nature, even when she is faced with the unknown. And being thrown back in time sure is an unknown. Wes is a sexy, rugged, hunky hero. A great read for a hot summers day. Kudos to Callie Hutton for another awesome book!

Back in time????

Anne didn't understand what happened to her when she got off the stage in a strange town. When Wes sees her in men's trousers and a yellow crop top he doesn't know what to think so he bundles her into his shirt to cover her. A very well written story about time travel. I enjoyed it very much.

when an independent self sufficient woman is tossed back in time to butt heads with a strong pig headed sheriff fur flies!
it makes for a great story. Don't miss!
A Tumble Through Time is the first book that I have read by Callie Hutton. Since this is a Time Travel Western, most of the book is spent in the past, the 1870's Kansas to be exact. I don't want to give too many spoilers, but be assured that this book is also a romance, so don't forget there will be a HEA.

The story starts off with Callie Hutton in present day Tulsa, Oklahoma. She is currently staying with her best friend until her wedding to Robbie. Just a few days before the wedding, Callie com

The day before she is going to get married, Anna walks in and finds her fiancé and her best friend doing stuff they shouldn't be doing! Needless to say, the wedding is off. She comes across a Native American Indian store and sensing her inner turmoil, is directed to relax in the peace chair ... and wakes up in 1870 (in a pair of jeans and a halter top!).

Needless to say, she is quite surprised. When she realizes she can't go home, she tries to settle into life ... a life that is very different fr

It's been a long time since I read a time-travel romance and A Tumble Through Time by Callie Hutton did not disappoint. Modern-day bounty hunter, Anna, travels back in time to 1870 Kansas. Local Marshall, Wes, is dumbstruck by her clothing and strange speech. Feeling responsible for her, Wes offers her clothing and shelter, and is horrified when she whips the tar out of a local cowboy. Men are supposed to provide for and take care of women, not the other way around. But as these two butt heads o ...more

I received this book from a Goodreads giveaway.

I do want to say that this story is fine at being just what it is. It is an easy romance with likable characters. It is a fast, light read.

That being said the story had many things it could have explored more deeply but just brushed the surface. Women’s right (what was the editorial about exactly?), and PTSD (just a line about seeing a counselor) were mentioned. I don’t believe the bi-racial Native American / Irish man would have been hired as a mar
3 1/2--4 stars. Quick, fun read. Not too spicy. I enjoyed the writing style--I thought it flowed well with smooth dialogue. I also found the plot easy to understand--sometimes time travel romances go over the top with details and descriptions that are difficult to follow. My only complaint, and it's totally my personal opinion, was I wished the heroine was a little more "kick butt"--it's just what I was in the mood for when I read she was a bounty hunter. She seemed to get into situations she co ...more

Loved It

Awesome story, Anne did better than I would have being transported back in time. I would have lost it. No running water, no microwave, no internet. I really enjoyed the story, how Anne found her true love in the 1800s . There were times I was laughing out loud at the different jobs Anne had and if I had to go back in time I hoped my hero would be like Wes. This story had humor, stagecoach robbers, some sexual harassment, rape, and true love that transcend time

Reading travel through time books is a favorite past time and this book does not disappoint. Wes and Anna both learn and grow into a better understanding of themselves and their times in this adventure. I really enjoyed this book by Callie Hutton and I look forward to reading more books by this author.

I liked the premise of this book, however, there were some steamy scenes, and some language. I like the time travel idea. The characters were very lovable, but it seems all they were concerned about was getting into bed. Would have loved a little more relationship development.

Highly enjoyable

I thoroughly enjoyed A Tumble Through Time by Callie Hutton. This was an interesting read that had my attention from beginning to end . Story was well paced and was easy to follow without getting tired or bored . I'm off to find the next book in this series .

I'm a sucker for a happy ending and thank heavens I got one here. Time travel books are sometimes difficult to read as the traveler doesn't act like a fish out of water! This one worked for me... quite well indeed!

Hi Romance Fans,

My historical romances are full of heat, humor, and quirky characters. I’ve always loved history, which was my college major. Things of the past fascinate me. Not those boring history classes in high school, but the history of people. How they lived their lives, what they ate, what they wore, the challenge
