This is a three part anthology book that focuses on three short stories that involve sexy firemen. These are fun short little stories that were all well written by obviously talented writers, although I had only read books from Stacey Kennedy who is one of the three featured authors.

I totally saw this book different than anyone else... I was trying to see what this book was because it read like an erotic novel & I had no idea... But OH MY GOOOOSH!

It was a crack up! I have no idea why I thought it was and no one else seemed to think so...

The first story:

A girl alone in a fire tower in the middle of the woods has radio sex with a fireman staying in another part of the woods... During a "session" her radio gets fried in a thunderstorm. Fireman says "Oh!! I can bring her parts I totally saw this book different than anyone else... I was trying to see what this book was because it read like an erotic novel & I had no idea... But OH MY GOOOOSH!

It was a crack up! I have no idea why I thought it was and no one else seemed to think so...

The first story:

I'm outta here"... pretty much sharing that with his boss, who is kind of irritated, but lets him go for a night...They have NEVER seen each other before! Soooo... he goes, sees her nekked in a stream. He's so sly, he sneaks over to her ladder to the tower & waits (preventing her from ever finding out he's a peeper) LOL!! See! I'm laughing already! AND rolling my eyes! As luck would have it, they are both absolutely gorgeous! He fixes the radio. She makes him dinner, they play cards for a kiss...Have a ton of sex. OOps! There's a fire! He can't leave. What better way to kill time, but have MOOOORE sex!! Cool!! LOL!! The next day or many hours later, he helps his crew kinda put the fire out. ANH? more like contain it... Then he comes back, they have MORE sex, maybe wash in the stream, have more sex... OH!! Then they are INNN LOOOOVE!! And they will work it out the best they can FOR EEEVERRR!!

I am not sure it was supposed to be funny, but I thought it was.

Next story...

Uhh OHHH!! Warning! Guy has hang up over a bad break up. Girl drives into town as the owner of a magazine having plans to do a sexy hot spread of all of the firemen in town! Lucky thing they are all good looking & the women don't count. They aren't in the spread... Sooo She has met the seriously hot fire chief, who owns a ton of gas stations. He's a pilot & it remodeling his house. Actually, this chick decides to go over & interview him, demands a glass of wine like he's having. He gives her a house tour. They are close to his bed, so voila! SEX sex sex...OOOoooo! Are you seeing a theme! Actually, I decided to leave some of this story for you to read. The lines a pretty funny. Like, he's drinking white wine. She says "I'll have some of that!" He says "White or red?" She says "whatever you're having!"uhhh. Why is that a stupid answer to me? She's looking at his wine. Can she not tell what color it is? More sex later. Blah blah blah. And if there is a DIFFERENT way to spell a normal name?? This author found it!!

Last story!!

Girl's bedroom burns in a fire. Hot fireman comforts her when she realize ll her family photos have been burned. When he's creeping in her room with his buddy fireman, he sees her lingerie & "how to" sex books. He gets all excited & sends her an original kind of invite to a sex party. Upon entering, of course she only has eyes for her fireman, even though everyone is masked & she has NO idea it's him.
Next they go to a room & he gets all dominant on her... but he's having second thoughts about this one night stand & decides it can't be anonymous. She gets all pissed & runs away.

I think this one had the best story... Just an FYI... EYES are the only things that DON'T change on a person. From baby to adult. You'll know what I mean when you read the story, because you know you wanna read this book now!!

All in all it was a good book. I found it quite entertaining, because of the nonsense, silliness & completely unrealistic happenings. It made me giggle to tears at times. I am guessing by the reviews, that maybe it was supposed to be a "HOT" book, but sorry! Some authors have mastered it where these three were just completely entertaining! The first story really had no story... just sex. It could have been anywhere at anytime & changed completely. The second two stories had more of a story surrounding the sex that was happening all the time. I could actually say this is my absolute favorite cheesy book of all time, giving it an extra star!!

I'm not a big fan of anthologies as there are bound to be stories that are hit or miss and unfortunately that was the case for the Hot Shots anthology. However, I do pick one up every now and again depending on the theme and firefighters are always hard to say no to so I couldn't resist picking up Hot Shots.

Holy hot smokin’ Cajun! I took no time at all to fall in love with Big Bear Rogue hot shot Cole Henry and his sexy accent and demanding tone. You’ve heard of phone sex, sexting…but Cole and Hannah enjoy some sexy fun via a private channel on a radio in the Sequoia National Park where Cole is a hot shot and Hannah is stationed in a lookout tower. While Hannah assumes they’ll never meet in person given how far apart they are in the forest, she soon finds herself face to face with the man who has had no problem helping her live out some of her fantasies. Let’s just say in person those fantasies become reality and I don’t think a team of firefighters could stop the heat rising off of these two. This is a novella so their relationship progresses quickly but honestly this is such a great story you won’t even care. You’ll just be thinking where you can find a man to share some hot two way radio sex with!

Sizzle by Lynne LaFleur 4.0 stars
The heat in central Texas has nothing to do with the temperature when journalist Maysen Halliday arrives in Lanville to interview and take photos of the firefighters in the Lanville Fire department. Fire chief Clayton Spencer is less than thrilled with his department being featured but what he can’t deny is the instant attraction he feels for Maysen. However after having his heart stomped on by another woman only in town for a short while, Clay has no intentions of spending time with the sexy journalist. Maysen has other ideas and she has no problems going after what she wants and she’s decided she wants Clay and once she corners him he doesn’t put up a fight. This was a super sexy and smokin’ hot story all set in small town Texas. I loved the characters in this story and there were a lot of them but they added to the story without distracting away from the romance. Maysen and Clay are very much alike and find that they are extremely compatible sexually with both enjoying experimentation. Maysen is one of those heroines who isn’t afraid of going after what she wants and has so problem voicing what she needs. Clay might be a total alpha male but he takes direction and makes no bones about pleasing his partner. Sexy fun complete with pictures, what more could you want?

Five-Alarm Masquerade by Stacey Kennedy 5.0 stars
Stacey Kennedy’s Five-Alarm Masquerade is beyond sexy with some clear domination tactics thrown in for good measure. Firefighter Gavin Morgan’s attraction to Abby Hill when he held her after discovering her bedroom along with all of the pictures she has of her deceased family has gone up in smoke sets off a desire he can’t explain until a search for hot spots leads to some interesting discoveries in her bedroom. Gavin takes a big risk to see Abby again and it fails pretty

spectacularly but never one to let that stop him he pursues her finding out that she feels the same desire and attraction he does. I loved the way Gavin pursued Abby because he felt there was more to them than just a sexual attraction. Abby has suffered a lot of loss in her life and she won’t deny that when Gavin is around she feels safe. When Gavin gives Abby back a piece of her history she thought was all gone, it becomes pretty evident there’s more between these two than domination and submission and sex. Author Stacey Kennedy packs a lot of action into her Five-Alarm Masquerade and it will no doubt have you wanting to burn up the sheets with a willing partner! ...more

"Fired Up" by Anne Marsh

This one involved Hannah who sits and watches for wildfires in an isolated tower. Cole is a firefighter who has been talking to Hannah over the radio. They've been exchanging in some sexy banter and Cole is interested in meeting Hannah. While on the radio with eachother fierce lighting strikes by Hannah and knocks out her end of the radio. Cole, being worried, races out to see if she's ok. When they meet, sparks fly!

This one was okay. Since it was really short there seemed little time for character development. I just felt the relationship was really quick and didn't feel much for either of the characters. It seemed more a romping, sexy time book with little else going on. If that's what you like, go for it because it won't disappoint. But if you want a little backstory with the sexual encounters you are out of luck.

"Sizzle" by Lynn LaFleur

Maysen is a photojournalist and arrives in the town of Lanville to take pictures of the firefighters in town. When she meets Chief Clay she can't help but feel attracted to him and is determined to add him into her article. Clay is doing his best to avoid Maysen since the last woman he had a relationship with left town in a hurry and he is now gun shy.

I liked the relationship between Maysen and Clay. It was very cute how they tried to avoid each other despite their initial feelings. I felt there was more of a connection between the two and this story was my favorite from the anthology. It made me want to look for more books by the author LaFleur. I'm interested to see if there are books about the other firefighters that were mentioned in this short.

"Five-Alarm Masquerade" by Stacey Kennedy

Abby just witnessed her apartment burning down and is overcome with grief that she has lost things that cannot be replaced. While going into shock she falls into the arms of a firefighter and later when she gets a look at him she can't believe how gorgeous he is. When someone sends her a package of just underwear and an address to an invite only masquerade she thinks its for her roommate but decides to go and live a little. What she doesn't know is who the invite is really from and that it's intended for her.

This wasn't my favorite from the collection. I found it weird that Abby would go to this fetish party and then be upset when she found out who invited her. It was definitely a sexy book, but there was something missing for me. By the end I didn't have any desire to read more about these characters, or look for more by the author. It just wasn't for me.

Anne Marsh wrote the novella "Fired Up", which is about a firefighter, or Hot Shot (as their called), and a brush fire observer. Hannah watches for fires in a nature pre Do you love hot alphas? Do you love hot alphas... that fight fires and wear uniforms and are just plain sexy and totally dominate in the bedroom?

If your answer is yes, then this is the book for you! Filled with three stories all equally as sizzling as the last, these hot alpha firefighters will be everything you want -- and more!

Anne Marsh wrote the novella "Fired Up", which is about a firefighter, or Hot Shot (as their called), and a brush fire observer. Hannah watches for fires in a nature preserve every summer and reports them for the Hot Shots to put out. A chance encounter with Hot Shot Cole over the airwaves of the radio will sweep them up into a passionate summer affair.

I had read Anne Marsh`s Blue Moon Brides series, and while this was way different than her paranormal shifter romance (which is as equally as hot and erotic as this one), one thing is similar. Cole is a very sexy Cajun. Born and bred in the Bayou. Both characters were strong, and I even got a few laughs out of this one. The story was fast paced but perfect, but I wasn't a big fan of the ending.
I am also curious as to whether or not this will become a series. I enjoyed the attitudes of a certain secondary character.

In "Sizzle" by Lynn LaFleur, Maysen is head honcho and photographer for a magazine called Hot Shots. See a theme? She meets Chief Firefighter Clay, and sparks fly! Despite a few misgivings (that honestly let to a few hitting of pet peeves), they enter into a short but very sizzling affair.
Again with this book, I would really like to see more. The secondary characters were just as strong as the main characters. Maysen amuses me to no end with her appetites (talking about food here!) and while sometimes I want to hit Clay because he tends to run away a lot, I do like him because, hes hot so who wouldn't?
I had never read a book by Lynn LaFleur, so it was nice to discover a new author. I might check out more of her work.

Last but not least, Stacey Kennedy (who Im not ashamed to admit is the main reason I read this anthology), wrote "Five-Alarm Masquerade". While I was slightly dissapointed to see that the theme of "Hot Shots" didnt carry over into this book, I will admit that emotions fly from the first sentence. I had tears in my eyes. It heated up shortly after that and was soon a roller coaster ride! I love coasters. And you will have to read the book to see why.
Anywhoo, Stacey, of course, did not disappoint. I would love to see more from these characters and more (Abby`s friend was HILARIOUS) and I hope she expands from this!

Watching for wildfires from a watchtower during the summer months suits, Hannah Green just fine. Especially when during the long dark nights she has some blistering conversations with hot Cajun firefighter, Cole Henry to keep her occupied.

What I Loved About Each Story:

Fired Up- I thought this was a great way to start off the book and it was also my favorite of the three. I immediately enjoyed reading about Hannah and her sexual adventures with Cole. I could not imagine coming face to face with my fantasy lover after This book contains three short stories all dealing with sexy firemen. The summary includes blurbs about each individual story.

What I Loved About Each Story:

Fired Up- I thought this was a great way to start off the book and it was also my favorite of the three. I immediately enjoyed reading about Hannah and her sexual adventures with Cole. I could not imagine coming face to face with my fantasy lover after the games they were playing especially thinking he would never show up at her front door step. I think it is super hot and very alpha that he went out to her watchtower to check in on her and his first sight of her was from a distance, watching her bathe in a waterfall. From that moment on, I couldn't keep me eyes off of the page. After wrapping up this story, I wanted more of Hannah and Cole.

"What if I want to take the chance, want to see if we could have something more? What if I want more than just the nights?"

Sizzle- While Fired Up was very arousing and sensual, Sizzle was cuddly and flirtatious. First of all, where do I get her job shooting delicious fireman for an article and calendar? I thought it was charming watching Maysen chase after Clay to get him to participate in her project. Despite being burned previously by a woman who was only in town for a short time, Clay opens himself to Maysen. Overall, it is a very delightful story with a little bit of drama and a happy ending.

"You look like you want to devour me," he said, low and husky. She wouldn't lie to him about the way she felt. "I do." "That is handy, since I want to devour you too."

Five-Alarm Masquerade- While this story was entertaining; it was my least favorite of the three. I felt the story was rushed and jumped all over the place. Abby house catches on fire and destroys all of her pictures of her family. For some reason, Abby sticks out to Gavin, the fireman who helps soothe her after the fire. After that, the story takes a weird turn and gets to be slightly farfetched. This story deals with a heavy story line for a short story. There is so much going on for Abby and Gavin that the author needed more time to really develop each character and to me, that is why the story felt rushed and lacking.

"Seeing you like this tempts me to want to keep you here all night," he murmured against her flesh, trailing his nose along her skin and inhaling deeply. "To do incredibly naughty things to this sexy body, for as long as I want."

The first story in this book is about Hannah Green who is an aspiring vet and a fire watching person in 30ft tower over the summer and Cole Henry who is fire fighter for the Big Bear Rogues fire department. Their story commences with them having phone sex every day for the past two weeks. One night there is a storm and wipes the radio connection between Hannah and Cole. Determined to make sure she is ok, Cole gets everything together to take her a new radio and he begins his 50 mile hike to her. The first story in this book is about Hannah Green who is an aspiring vet and a fire watching person in 30ft tower over the summer and Cole Henry who is fire fighter for the Big Bear Rogues fire department. Their story commences with them having phone sex every day for the past two weeks. One night there is a storm and wipes the radio connection between Hannah and Cole. Determined to make sure she is ok, Cole gets everything together to take her a new radio and he begins his 50 mile hike to her. This is pretty much where the conflict begins and ends for this first story. Once he gets to where she is, he stays for 4 days, they have amazing sex for those days and that’s it, he has to go back to the fire department and they agree to continue seeing each other often. This wasn’t exactly what I was expecting after reading the beginning.

The second story in this book was really good. I truly enjoyed reading. I loved the way the story developed between Maysen and Clay and the fact that although there wasn’t a lot of drama or issues between them, there was a nice pace set to this story. It was romantic, funny and a little sad before it good happy again. The sex scenes were hot and steamy. LOL.. The way Clay tries to keep himself from falling for her or having anything to do with her at that. The way Maysen didn’t take no for an answer and fought for what she wanted was cool. Being that the personality given to Maysen was so resembling to something that I would do is more than likely why I liked the story that much more. Good job on this story.

The third story in this book is about Abby and Gavin. Abby’s house catches fire and Gavin is the firefighter to the rescue. Not only does he put out the fire in her house but he creates on in Abby, when he takes upon himself to console her as she remembers that she has lost everything that was a memory of her deceased family. Gavin takes upon himself to find Abby and invite her to a mascaraed ball (a sex ball). Once there he sees her turning guys left and right, he approaches her and with an ego to go along with his amazing body, he orders her to go with him. Once in the hotel room of the mascaraed its no holds bar. He gives her the pleasure she was only dreaming of. When she goes to reciprocate the favor, he can’t do it as strangers and chooses to unveil who he is. The ending to this story is farfetched but I loved it, because I never expected it to turn out the way it did. Truly enjoyed it.

I usually end up liking and reading the other author's works. I hadn't planned on more such hot steamy sex scenes than the main theme: firefighters.

Maysen Halliday runs Hot Shots magazine and is the photographer. She's on assignment in a small town in Texas. Clay Spenser is the town's fire chief and he doesn't like the idea of the publicity for his fire department.
The volunteers are to meet Maysen at the station and she can take their beefy photos. She plans to also highlight female firefighters in a special article.
Clay avoids Maysen claiming he's too busy with others to meet for meals. She meets up with the woman firefighters and learns Clay didn't go out of town and gets the directions to his house and she gets the tour along with a change of mind from Clay.
Things really heat up... Now to convince them to pose for the calendar and others would buy it, thus giving them money for the new tanker they need. Hot steamy sex scenes.

Hots Shots has three stories written by Anne Marsh, Lynn LeFleur, and Stacey Kennedy.

The first story in this anthology is "Fired Up" by Anne Marsh. Hannah Green, a fire watcher, has been having booty call by radio with a firefighter Cole Henry. They have never met each other in person except over the radio. When the radio went out during a lighting storm, Cole went to deliver a new radio to Hannah as well to make sure she is alright. When they met, they gave in to their radio fantasy. Hannah kn Hots Shots has three stories written by Anne Marsh, Lynn LeFleur, and Stacey Kennedy.

The first story in this anthology is "Fired Up" by Anne Marsh. Hannah Green, a fire watcher, has been having booty call by radio with a firefighter Cole Henry. "Sizzle" is about Maysen and Clay. Maysen is a owner/photographer of Hot Shots magazine. She has decided to do a calendar of the hottest firemen in Lanville. Clay, Fire Chief of Lansville Fire Department did not want to pose for the calendar. There is an instant attraction between Maysen and Clay from the moment they met. Clay does not want his heart broken again especially Maysen is in town temporary until her job is done.

"Fire-Alarm Masquerade" is Abby Hill and Gavin Morgan. After putting out the fire at Abby's home, Gavin couldn't get Abby off his mind. He decided to invite her to a Swing Masquerade but he couldn't just have a meaningless sexual relationship with her at the masquerade. After Abby has ran away from him, Gavin was going to court her and bring all her sexual fantasy into reality.

These three short stories is a very good introduction to authors who readers have not heard about or seen much of their books. Out of the three stories, I love "Sizzle" the best. The chemistry between Maysen and Clay is just so hot even Clay wasn't ready to committed. Kind of nice to have a woman to fight for both of them. Maysen is not a damsel in distress who needs rescuing.

Of course, there is Fired Up. I can hear Cole's Cajun accent throughout this book. That accent drawl really got me looking for the Cajun man.

For readers who love romance, these three stories can really heat up the nights. They are short and just perfect for a quick read.
