As a child, I read this book in the comfort of my own home. I remember reading it several times. I enjoyed this book so much because I was able to watch the movie version of it. As a young child, I did not intentionally compare the book and the movie. However, I think I preferred the movie to the book at the time because being able to watch the movie on the television was a better privilege than reading the book alone. This is one of the golden books I still have. I adored the film as a kid, and loved the book as well.
