In Love Remains, Ms. Jelic has once again written a highly imaginative paranormal romance with believable characters who are both flawed and compassionate with a plot that will keep you guessing until the end.

Olivia is a corporate obsessed woman who will do, with no remorse, what she has to in order to succeed. After a long day of laying countless people off from their jobs, she’s happy to get on a plane and go home. But home is much different than it was when she left. The plane has taken a

I loved the idea and the people, but the book unraveled for me.

The concept for this book is great, and there are many things to like about it. Tom is a wonderful guy, generous with his love and trust. I could identify with Olivia. She seemed real. But there are so many missed opportunities to explore this story line. Both characters accept supernatural events and entities way too readily. Some of those supernatural elements seemed

I love my sleep yet I stayed up until midnight last night reading this book. What a very fascinating take on the time travel theme. Olivia is a career woman and will stop at nothing to move forward in her job. Suddenly, she's transported to another time zone where she's now married and has two children - something she never wanted. Reeling from being put in a situation she doesn't belong in, she tries to work out what's happened. In the process, her husband Tom woes her. She falls in love with ...more

Ms. Jelic has written a fascinating love story set in an alternate time from the one the heroine started in. The novel made me think of the show Quantum Leap, but with a lot more heart (and sex).

Olivia starts out as a cold promiscuous woman and transitions into a soft caring mother who ends up loving her alternate life more than the empty one she lives in her reality. Tom was the man of any woman’s dreams and I could see how Olivia fell in love with him.

The angel and Olivia’s sister bring an

Love Remains is a bit of an unusual romance, it’s an alternative-reality/time-travel romance.

In the beginning we meet our heroine Olivia. She is a corporate high flyer, hard nosed and cold. Her focus in life is succeeding in her career, not really caring who she tramples on along the way, and men are just empty lays fulfilling an itch as she goes. Then she falls asleep on an airplane on the way home and wakes up in a very different world.

In this new world,

This review is written by Nic's wife.

The characters and their lives are written very lovingly, and that makes the characters feel consistent, even when I want to ask "do any of these people burp?" Very fun and lighthearted tone, despite the urgency the characters feel in the story. Lots of steamy sex, and flirtation.

There were a lot of little things that limited my enjoyment of the story. I didn't care for the plot: some threads were dropped a little too quickly to feel like they were really

When it comes to romance novels, I’m more inclined to read something by Jane Austin than Harlequin. So I’m something of a newbie when it comes to this format. Feel free, therefore, to take my review with a grain of salt.

The title of the book by Zrinka Jelic, “Love Remains”, seems to indicate that a sweet love story is just a page turn away. Instead, the novel starts out more as soft-core porn. Not exactly what I was expecting as a reader, but I’m not a total prude so by all means let the story

The beginning of the story seemed a bit slow for me but as I read it, it became more interesting I had to read it in one sitting.

Olivia is a cold and career woman who doesn't believe in love, has no friends, and accepts her faith of being a spinster. One day it all changes as she took a nap and suddenly wakes up in alternate life. Instead of being a career woman, she finds herself to be a loving wife, a mother, and more friendly to other people. This twisted her up in knots especially

Where do I even begin? The concept reminded me so much of one of my favorite holiday movies, “The Family Man”, but with a different twist. I loved the characters, before, during, and after the alternate lives. The author portrayed the main character, Olivia, perfectly in each scenario; the strong business type first, all the way to the doting mother of two. I loved Tom. He was the perfect husband, wrapped up in the words on a page. Plus, who can forget those kids! Being a mom, I understood ...more

I received a copy of this book from LoP in place of an honest review.

Words cannot express the way I felt when I read this book. I didn't know how I would like it because the beginning was a little slow. We had Olivia Owen who seems like she has no feelings. Her job is to fire the people that her boss wants her to. She does it without batting an eye. I wondered if I would be able to read her character. That is until she meets Tom Medar.

Tom saw the way his mom was treated one day and decided that

First of all I must say WOW. Is that a good way to start a review? Absolutely!!!!!!

This book was interesting from the first word. I had a hard time putting this one down. I really wanted to find out what was going to happen with Olivia and Tom.

Olivia is a young corporate go getter that really has no time for family. She is a hard nose hard hitter at Intelcorp who has alienated herself from her coworkers so she has no friends. She is the company axer, when they meet with her they know they will

Fun, fast paced, not a dull moment. The talented author uses her literary skills to combine romance, lust, a little suspense and paranormal parallel worlds. Her writing style makes it overall very enjoyable. Some hot love scenes and lots of surprises in the plot as well.

Only the last part moved too fast for me. Would have liked to read more about Olivia's trip to Croatia and what happened to Tom after he returns to his original world.
Other than that, I really liked the book.

Normally anymore I shy away from books of this particular storyline but the title drew me in anyways. First time in reading this author also. Time travel doesn't normally anymore except for a few draw me in anymore but being love was a strong motivator in this one and enjoy reading romance thought why not. The characters- first Olivia then short time later Tom- are ones that you can connect with right away. Corporate climber that she starts out as Olivia is lonely as she goes gets a way up call ...more

First and foremost, Love Remains by Zrinka Jelic, was my first time-travel romance. I wasn’t sure what to expect----some kind of wormhole or a Dr. Who-esque story but Love Remains was an interesting contemporary read. The story centers around a career woman, Olivia Owen, who’s single, high-maintenance and perfectly happy not having attachments to anyone or anything aside from her job. Her cold personality simply permeates off the page and I found myself unable to warm up to

Horvaatia - Reading Through Europe (4/50)

Horvaatia-teemalise armastusromaani leidmine oli üsna raske. Selles raamatus on peategelase Tom Tomislav Medari vanemad Horvaatia päritolu.

I have one thing to say about Love Remains by Zrinka Jelic. WOW! What a fantastic read. I'm not even sure how to give a review because I don't want a spoil all the plots and twist that this story contains. What I can share is that this is one of those books I read straight through.
Zrinka Jelic's wonderful hero and heroine, Olivia and Tom, were a delight to get to know. Olivia isn't a very lovable heroine in the beginning. Please give her a chance. She changes into a remarkable woman and I loved

Received this book as an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

Usually I would write a big blurb about the contents of the book, however for this one I just can't. I do not want to give anything away other than: YOU HAVE TO READ IT!!! IT WAS SOOO GOOD! It made me cry, it made me laugh, smile, it also made me want to appreciate everything around me that much more. We never know what we have until it is taken away. To top it all off it truly warmed my heart. What a touching story! I am so glad that

This was a heart warming story. The characters were wonderful. I enjoyed watching Olivia grow into the person she was meant to be. She found out what was important, deep in her heart. I immediately loved Tom, honestly, what wasn't there to love about Tom. He was thoughtful, considerate and very loving. I like the way the story incorporated a murder mystery with the paranormal element. I

I got this book for honest rewiev by LOP/R2R and author it self.
The begining didn't start so good for me( so this is one of the reason why only 4 stars) and I didn't like the part with angels too ( only my personal ishuess) but I understand why author use them.
Second half of the book was whole diferent story and I love this book at the end. For personal reason I would much more like if author put Croatian part of the story on some Islands like Brač or Hvar just 'cause I know how romantic

I loved the idea of this story and thoroughly enjoyed reading it. The first chapter or so were not my favorite part of the book, I really didn’t like the main female character. However, as I got into the story I realized why she was portrayed the way she was early in the book. The story was great but there were a couple things to note: there are mature scenes and references in the book that while they didn’t really add to the story in my view certainly didn’t detract from it either and there are ...more

This was the first time that I have read this particular author - and let me say this - - I would love to continue reading more!!! I started reading this book and found it impossible to put this one down!!

This book had my attention from the first word. I kept on the edge of my chair with wanting to find out what was going to happen with Olivia and Tom.

Olivia is a young corporate that has no time for family. Tom is an attorney who likes to help the underdog. The things that happen through out the

While I didn’t care for Olivia’s character in the first chapter, she made me grow to understand and care for once she started her “new life” (no spoiler alerts; you’ll have to read). Ms. Relic’s writing is solid, and the characters are very well-developed. I appreciate how she didn’t rush the Olivia’s turn in behavior but showed a natural maternal progression in Olivia. I adored Tom—who wouldn’t—and enjoyed the plot twists throughout the book. While this isn’t my normal genre, Ms. Relic had me ...more

This is quite the unique story line, about a woman who falls into the future, literally her future life. While in this life she falls head over heals in love with it, and once returned to her actual life has to fight to get it back. It's a fast paced story that kept me quite entertained. I will say I found it hard to believe how quickly she accepted the future she fell into, most would have been stumped and unbelieving for awhile. But overall it's a cute romance story that's filled with a little ...more

I would give it 4,5 stars. This was a great read.

The beginning was fascinating and i had some WTF moments :)

The way Olivia stands in live really speaks to me. A strong woman but very alone. The she wakes up and suddenly has a husband and kids.
I loved the calmness of Tom en the innocence of the children.

The part with the angel did not really fascinate me, I did not believe the story at that moment, so thats why i only gave

I usually don't read romance novels, but was introduced to this book by a friend. I picked it up one weekend, and couldn't put it down. The storey line had me intrigued and left me wanting to read more. The discriptive dialogue helped to create a sense of being right there with the characters. I have to admit I was a little bit confused near the end, on how it all came together, but it was definately a great read!I have offerred it to a few of my friends, it was so good. Love Remains takes a unique track on the "what if" story. Olivia is driven, she's a ball-buster, she's unlikable. She is the corporate HR so familiar to many people. In one instant her life changes and she sees the "what if" that leads her to her happiness.
The story gets a little confusing in parts, but the twists are compelling and the growth of Olivia makes the story a good read. Ms Jelic creates a realistic world rich with full

I got this book in exchange for a honest review (LoP). The book started of a bit weird but picked up dramaticly after the first few chapters. The love story betwin Tomislav and Olivia is epic, overwelming and very good. I did get kind of confused with the angel bit at the bigginning but eventually got it. It was a really good book. I absolutley loved it. I recommend it to all readers that love a romance!

This was a very enjoyable read. LOVE REMAINS has an intriguing premise and Jelic's characters were vivid and believable. I loved the tough as nails Olivia and got caught up in watching her change as the story evolved. I loved Tom and how, while he was sweet and sensitive, he was definitely in control. The suspense in wondering what happened to Olivia and what would happen next had me anxious and reading as fast as possible.
