This two page short story by Tao Yuanming is slightly interesting an early utopian story. It is so short that it doesn't really get into anything, and this is sometimes the case with fables. I think it could be turned into an interesting novel, and maybe it served as some of the inspiration to James Hilton writing Lost Horizon. I can't say for sure, but it sounds a bit like it.
