A passion for flowers 🌺🥀🌼🌻 often begins with a handful of bulbs.
Oh how I have enjoyed this gardener's guide this summer! I have learned so much about proper planting techniques, how to better care for my current plants, and those that thrive in North Carolina. This book has been a jewel to me as I am slowly expanding my flower/herb garden.
It's so informative, and a very easy read. Highly recommend to those gardener's who live in or around the Tar Heel state.

I've had this one in my library for 10 years, and recently consulted it again. The big deck is finished, and the landscaping begins!
Bost's book helps pick plants well suited to this climate. There are perhaps 175 to 200 popular plants from every category: annuals, bulbs, deciduous trees, evergreens, fruits, grasses, herbs, perennials, roses, shrubs, and vines. Each plant gets a thorough treatment: height, description, photo, when/where to plant, how to maintain. All the key questions a landscaper would have.
