Zyra Zanr's in a lot of trouble when Helship II is bested by an unknown ship. Much to her dismay, her time as the most lucrative and notorious bounty hunter comes to an abrupt halt, when instead of being the hunter, she becomes the hunted. Captured and aboard the Lillith, Zyra must somehow escape the clutches of a rival gang - one that make their hatred for her no secret.

(WARNING: This review contains spoilers.)

Zyra is at it again in the second book of the series, it picked right up from the first book and it was easy to sink back into her world. What surprised me is that she actually became the hunted one!

This book had more action than the first book and you could tell that Zyra had become more mature if that makes sense?

Dark Space is the second book in the Rogue Hunter series, the story of beautiful but deadly bounty hunter named Zyra Zanr, who first appeared in Inquest. Not having read the first book of the series I was worried that I’d have difficulty following what was happening here, which would make reviewing it, and enjoying it, difficult. But there was no need to worry, as Dark Space works great as a stand-alone. The book uses a mi

When comparing the art of movie making versus writing books, a movie is far more multi dimensional. The advantage in movie making is that you can take an ordinary story and elevate it to Oscar category with great direction, editing, photography, acting. On the other hand, to elevate a simple story into an entertaining book, the author must possess great skill in telling the story well. And that is precisely where Kevis Hendrickson scores a 10/10.
Normally, a reader takes a few chapters, to get a

I read this book as a Beta reader- the book is titled "Dark Space" as it take place in space.
There are bounty hunters after bounty hunters. And of one such bounty hunter names Zynra, well lets just say that the bad hunters caught her. She makes a friend a young boy aboard ship. that the other bountys think are trouble and don't want him around.
Now I really can't give to much more info about this story -see if I did then you wouldn't read Kevis book. You really need to. The story really is a na

Rogue Hunter: Dark Space is the second book in the series about galactic bounty hunter Zyra Zanr. I haven’t read the first novel, but it’s quite clear Zyra doesn’t have many friends. In this episode, she is on the wrong end of the bounty hunter’s gun (and boot, knuckle dusters, sword, and well... pretty much everything else that can be used as a weapon).

RH:DS has a straight shooting plot. Girl is captured and locked in a cage. Girl happens to be bad-ass. Girl gets out of the cage. Girl opens up

This story takes place upon the ship in which Zyra is being held captive. We get the story from several
different perspectives from the crew of 8 and Zyra herself. What I have come to love about Kevis' writing
is the portrayal of the characters. They become real to us, the book turned out to be a super fast read and
was over before I was ready.

As we are introduced to the characters we immediately get who they are. It comes about in their actions
and dialogue. As this story includes several cha

Disclaimer: I received a copy of this book in exchange for my honest review. I also read and reviewed the first book in this series, Inquest.

We join our favorite deep space bounty hunter, Zyra Zanr, soon after the events in the first book, Inquest. In an ironic twist, she's been captured by a team of bounty hunters who want to turn her in for a hefty profit with not a care for the inevitable outcome Zyra will face- certain gruesome death. But it's not going to be easy turning this mark in. Espec

In Dark Space, the second book of the Rogue Hunter series, we follow Zyra Zanr, a beautiful, though dangerous bounty hunter. She is the most famous and feared hunter in the known universe, and as such made many powerful enemies. One who she crossed, a crime boss to whom she owes a considerable amount of money, a loan that she never repaid, put a price on her head. The hunter becomes the prey.

I liked the book. I followed along, wanting to know how Zyra would escape, or if she would. I had to know

This Rogue Hunter book was not quite as good as Inquest. Too much with the bounty hunters that catch Zyra and less of Zyra having adventures and kicking ass. She does kick ass but it's not quite the same. I enjoyed the action scenes and everything was written really well. I'm not sure if the character building with the bounty hunters is designed to make you dislike them or if they are supposed to be genuine characters. Most of the scenes with the bounty hunters just added to my wish to see them ...more

This is a cool read.

The previous book in this series was an enjoyable read, but had some awkward writing from time to time. Rogue Hunter: Dark Space doesn't have that problem. It's pleasantly written, and the story flows from action to dialogue and back without any hiccups.

The story itself is full of action and suspense. Zyra is trapped on a space ship, and is being hunted, or is she the one hunting? The tables get turned on both Zyra and her captors from time to time, keeping you guessing who w

Last year, I read the first book in the Rogue Hunter series, Inquest. I liked it and found it enjoyable. But, Rogue Hunter: Dark Space took things to a whole other level. Bad this enough that Zyra gets captured, but she's also tortured and Hendrickson doesn't pull any punches, pulling the reader into every nail-biting scene.

Howver, Zyra is fighting for her life and the best way she knows how to do that is to fight back. When that happens, everyone must watch out because no one is safe from her

‘Rogue Hunter: Dark Space’ is the second book in the revitalized Rogue Hunter series starring galactic bounty hunter Zyra Zanr. Note to readers: there are graphic scenes and strong language. Zyra has found herself captured by rival bounty hunters and once she finds herself out of the cage, she’s now hunting her captors. ‘Rogue Hunter: Dark Space’ has a strong plot, solid characters, and a bold cinematic style. I could definitely see this whole series becoming a movie franchise. Once again hittin ...more

I received this book as a free ebook from The Source here on Goodreads.

I only made it 63 pages into this one before I had to relegate it to my dnf (Did Not Finish) shelf. The first chapter was great, and actually had some action in it that made the promise of a great space adventure. I found it was all downhill from there. The characters were unbelievable and empty, supposedly being hardcore adrenaline-junkie bounty hunters that brave the emptiness of space to cash in and become rich, but all I

So, since the other reviews highlight on the bounty hunters I figure I will leave them for now.

With Rogue Hunter we start out with a great high octane opening. The main character Zyra's ship the Hellship-II has just been hit and our Heroine. Well she isnt doing so hot right now. The first thing that hit my mind was. AAAHHHH MEDIC! and uh like STAT! Second thing was I like this girl, shes badass! She would rather defend her ship then check for broken bones now that's commitment. But before we ca

I really enjoyed the first book in the series, and I liked the first chapter in this book. But from the second chapter onward I felt this book was a step backwards.

There was too many long speeches where a character explains to you who they are and why there are in the book - these speeches invariably end with something like "you're probably wondering why I told you all this".

The beautiful heroine of the book is very ill treated - if the author keeps this up she will have to be described as the
