“I had been away from the fall of moonlight and the glow of the stars so long I forgot how real I felt beneath their quiet contemplation.”

Victus, a wolf forced to change to the form of a man in the moonlight, lost everything the night he was captured. Caged and beaten, he quickly learned the darkest depths of the human soul. But when blue eyes and a soft smile threatened t

Cheree Alsop is a wolf goddess.

OK, she’s not a wolf. And she’s probably not a goddess. But, like a goddess, she will be immortal because her books will live forever. They are that good.

Ms. Alsop gets wolves. She understands how (I believe) they think, act, behave and live. She nailed the entire Silver series and I’m proud to say I own them all.

This book is an interesting take on wolf shifters. Victus was born (??) a wolf and turns into a man at night. He also lives the lifespan of a human. And t

What a beautiful tale of a man that turns to wolf.....not just your typical werewolf story. Though I have a passion for those as well;-) This story spoke to my heart. I smiled, I chuckled, even shed a few tears. The characters are all phenomenal, each of them add something to the story. I admired Victus' courage, strength, commitment to family, Koya her compassion. The story does have its fair share mistakes in grammar and a few spelling errors, but if you allow that to be a reason to turn away ...more

Cheree Alsop mastered the mind of a wolf and wrote the most amazing story I've read this year. Once I started I couldn't stop reading, personal needs no longer existed. I turned the last page with tears streaming down my face. Victus' point of view is so refined I felt him change from wolf to man and back again inside my skin. The World of Rala became my home. This is a must read for all romance and fantasy lovers.

"Keeper of the Wolves" has become my favorite of Cheree Alsop's books to date. Ms. Alsop created a beautiful world filled with harsh realities as well as fairytale dreams that made it hard to leave once I read the last page. Victus' life as a wolf forced to become a man is beautiful and heartbreaking at the same time.

I really enjoyed this book. It was very different from the other wolf books I have read. But I like the sweet innocence of the story as well.

This was a great book. It is different from most wolf stories. I loved the characters and thought the story was creative. I'm looking forward to reading more from this author.

"Wolves did not hope. They accepted life as it came and learned to flow with the path of their padding paws. One could not change the past nor predict the future, so to worry or mourn with regret the way things happened was foreign to animals of the wild."

The Keeper of the Wolves is one of the best shifter books I have read. It is written from the point of view of Victus, a wolf forced to change into a man in the moonlight. We meet him where he is captive a cruel man who whips him and places him

I found this book offered for free on Kindle and I love a good werewolf story, so I figured there was nothing to lose.
I was not expecting to be so enamoured by this tale as I was. I am not sure one would be able to properly convey the mental and physical battle of a wolf that is cursed to change nightly into a man, or a man cursed to change into a wolf every sunrise, but Cheree Alsop did an outstanding job detailing the thoughts and nuances of a wolf, combining them with the brilliantly elabora

A little slow at the beginning but impressive

This book began at a slow pace, but picked up later in the middle of the book. The most annoying thing I found in the book was the repetition of how Victus’ voice was rough from not being used for so long. In one of the paragraph’s, it was in two or three sentences. We get it. Anyway, it wasn’t my favorite story by this author, but I have to say it was still pretty good. I enjoyed the growing relationship in it. There are still questions we need answe

I became him

Seeing and feeling everything through his own life sent me to another type of life other than the regular ones I always read about. So many of us know the pain of love and loss this really brings it to the forefront. Thank you for the many changes you introduced. I would read this book again, that is something I do not do, so again I thank you.

Rarely give 5s

I rarely give 5s, but this was a wonderfully fast paced story with an ending that left me feeling happy and hopeful. This author certainly understands her characters, but I doubt if that poor wrist can take much more!!

Keeper of the Wolves by Cheree Alsop follows a young wolf magically and mysteriously transformed into a human by the light of the moon.

Victus was a wolf, not a human. He doesn't know why he suddenly changes into a human under the moon, and he hates that he's been locked in a cage to be jeered at by humans.

When Koya, Heir to a duchy, finds him locked behind bars and beaten, she rescues the wolf-man. But in healing him, she brings out some of his more human characteristics and he stays with her as

Loved it! The world the author created, the characters, the sweet romance, the unique perspectice-- all of it. ♥♥♥♥♥ And I desperately want to read a continuation of this story, but it seems that's not in the works. Regardless, there was so much good book noise made while reading this story, I'd have to it's one of the loveliest stories I've read recently.
