Not Even Death Keeps a Good Demoness Down

There’s never an end to the crazy when you’re demon spawn. Not that Faith Bettincourt’s complaining. She’s been patching things up with her angelic on-again off-again boyfriend, Matt, and her best-friend-turned-sister-in-law is soon giving birth to the Anti-Christ Part Deux. My English review

I love this series and it’s been a moment since I was waiting for this third volume. I was very annoyed with Faith in the second novel even though I loved her and I was curious to see how she would solve her problems. But I must say that when she finds a solution about a point, other problems appear, completely upsetting the life of our heroine.

After her separation with Matt, Faith finally understands what is good for her and she is now again with this extrao

Fangs for the Fantasy
Being the devil's youngest daughter continues to be a challenge for Faith. Her love life is a mess, having broken up with her nephlim boyfriend Matt and now that she has accidentally become the angel of death, she may never be able to touch another person again. Faith may be a demon but as a kind hearted nurse who works in the pediatric ward, deciding who is going to live and die each day is at odds with her profession of saving lives. Not to mention, being the Angel of Death comes with a lot of ...more

I was given this book by the publisher in exchange for my honest review. This is book 3 in Speak of the Devil series. Book 1 is Luck of the Devil. Book 2 is Devil May Care. I haven't read the first two books. The main character is Faith who happens to be the youngest daughter of the devil and she is engaged to Matt, her angel boyfriend. The writing is witty. My problem was with the storyline. Faith barely gets out of something and is immediately thrown into something else. Can't Angels and Demon ...more

My Review:
I'm not usually a huge reader of humorous romance. I have to be in the right mood for it. This series has been an exception for me in that area. I've truly loved the first two books in the series.

While this one was a fun read too, it lost something for me. The series skirts along the edge of religion in a wonderful way. I love Patricia Eimer's world and her quirky view on how religion and all those players within it might work behind the scenes, but this book delved too deeply into so

Before the Devil Knows You’re Dead by Patricia Eimer
Faith Bettincourt is a demon, and also a nurse, who works hard to save lives as often as possible, sometimes even intervening against the Angel of Death, Archangel Michael, himself. Michael is not pleased that a low-level demon can beat him in the soul game. He is power hungry, and yearns for a way to become the top Angel of Death, with all the power it entails. He’s been denied the job over and over again, because he’s been deemed unsuitable f

When I first saw the cover of Before the Devil Knows You're Dead and read the blurb, I figured this had to be a fun book. Little did I know how much fun! This is a quirky story with lots of characters to keep up. And what a collection it is! Wicked angels, good demons, Alpha and Omega (Otherwise known as God and Satan) just to name a few. Anyone who is a serious religious zealot probably will take offense to the liberties the author has taken. Me, I found it refreshingly comical.

The third book in the Speak of the Devil series is an action packed paranormal urban fantasy romance.

Demoness and pediatric nurse Faith Bettincourt is not complaining, life is good; she’s patching things up with her on again off again angelic boyfriend, her best-friend-turned-sister-in-law is soon giving birth to the Anti-Christ part deux and she’s saving kids in the pediatric unit from death. Then she’s forced to take the Angel of Death’s place when she accidentally runs over him, starting a ch

I received an ARC through NetGalley.

Before the Devil Knows You're Dead was a pretty good end to this series. Much like the previous book, it didn't fully grasp my attention, but I did like it better. Faith and Matt's break up doesn't last for long, but a new problem arises when Faith accidentally runs over the Angel of Death. As he was dying, his powers transferred to her and now anything or anyone she touches dies. Not a great way to restart a relationship. Meanwhile, the Apocalypse is coming i

The third book in the Speak of the Devil series is epic - as in end of the world apocalypse epic. Faith just can't seem to keep her life normal - or a least normal for the youngest daughter of Lucifer. Things just keep spiraling out of control and getting even more crazy.

I love Faith more and more with every page. She is such a riot - her entire family is, but she really stands out as such a unique person. A lover of children and a nurse, finding herself the Angel of Death is quite the life cha

I've enjoyed this series from book one. I love a good tongue in cheek kind of book and this one doesn't disappoint. The humor is good but there is also a UF element to the whole series. This is also a series I would read in order. The events in the other books lead up to what happens in this book. Yes, I repeat (and don't faint) I read these in order and I suggest you do the same. :D

The last book sort of killed me with the ending (in a good way) so I couldn't wait to get my hands on this book. T

Book 3 has more action than the first two books combined.Everything that has been stewing comes to a head and no one is left unaffected. After a crazy accident Faith becomes the new Angel of Death. As everyone scrambles to figure a way for her to get out of it, another is intent on taking it away from her at all costs. You would think that would be good thing but this person wants it for pure evil.

Faith has a pretty unique life, she thinks she wants her relationships with people to be normal bu

Recommends it for: Evertone who likes to laugh
Patricia Eimer really has a knack for the humor in her writing. She writes incredibly well, and keeps her readers enthralled in the book. Even though the story is about angels and demons, they seem to be living right along with all of us. She actually makes you wonder if it could really be a possibility that they live among us and we just don't know it. I loved the story about this dysfunctional family that has all the same everyday problems we have, with a twist. They are angels, demons, and of ...more

This is a cute series where our main heroine is actually the daughter of Devil and a hippy witch. She has a sister whose ex-husband is an incubi. Her brother is the anti-Christ, son of Lilith. Oh, and he is engaged to be married to her best friend, who he turned into a demon. She is pregnant with his kid. God is her uncle and Jesus is her cousin. Her boyfriend is currently an angel and not just any angel, but he is now the leader of angels.

There is action, as Faith has to fight to keep the Angel

LOL funny! O.k. so I'm two books behind since this is the first book by this author I've read. I laughed through a good portion of the book. If you are religious with no sense of humor this book is nit for you. Angels that are not all that angelic and demons who have good in them. This book is so far off the norm you cant help but laugh at all the crazy characters along with an angel and demon falling in love. Faith is the devils youngest who works as a nurse in the picu and is in live with an a ...more

I received an ARC copy of this book in exchange for an honest review so here it goes. I must say that I thoroughly enjoyed this book. I have never read anything by this author before but she captivated me from the beginning. Faith is a hoot and so are all of the other characters in this book. Once I started I could not put it down. I actually had moments where I LOL’d and my husband looked at me like I was crazy. The story is about a definite must read it will have you thinking about Heaven and ...more

Angels are Angels and Demons are Demons, and then there are the "inbetween" like Faith Bettincourt. I love that she is a nurse and works to keep her young wards from Death. That still doesn't stop death from trying, or get her in trouble with those who help souls along the way. She is a demon with a kind streak, and that duality messes up her love life. There just was so much going on with this story, and so many characters that I sometimes got lost, and found it hard to find myself emphasizing ...more

Wow this series was hilarious and weird at the same time. I was slightly hesitant when I first picked it up...I mean half demon daughter if satan? Slightly weird but then I'm open to reading anything so I wanted to keep an open mind. And I wound up reading all three books bak to back lol

I loved the family dynamics and J and Alpha were hilarious so was the devil...but I thought the relationship between Faith and Matt could have had a lot more fleshing out because they had very minimal interaction

Book 3 in a series and I haven't read the first 2, so overall I rate this Meh.

Too many characters, it was too confusing trying to keep track of who is who or did what. Great writing, witty and very enjoyable to read. Fast paced, but too much so. With the amount of characters to keep track of, the plot moves too fast from one thing to another, so you feel breathless like you're running a marathon, but also always feel like you are behind the bulk of the runners, and never catch up.

I highly recomm

Unique and Hilarious!
I really enjoyed. It was unlike anything I had read before. I laughed out loud a lot and loved all the characters. I certainly recommend this book to anyone who loves witty banter and a heroine that can’t seem to catch a break, but fight to the bitter end for what right.
So funny!

I enjoyed this Paranormal read. It was fun, especially after I figured out who was who. It is a love story between an angel and a devil, the life they lead and what happens to them. At one point, our devil is "Death" and is unable to touch anything, without it being killed. Our couple finds out how to overcome this, so that they may have their Happily Ever After.
