I didn’t enjoy this book. It felt disjointed and that it didn’t really work. It seemed like someone wanted to write some sex scenes and putting together a plot and tying it all together was a bit of an afterthought. It worked for filling some time I had between books but not sure i would bother with this author again.

120 pages of useless, juvenile and far fetched. No chemistry, no plot, no conflict, no POINT!
The story is literally: "She comes to Paris, meets him accidentally, they fall in love, he asks her to marry him 5 days later. The End." >> Really?!

One Night With a Billionaire: The Perfect Man

Although we're back into very sexy and romantic area, I enjoyed this book greatly and look forward to more of the same. I hope this will become a series like the cowboy series that I loved. It's enjoyable to continue with the same as Ms. Thompson's cowboy series. Would recommend this to relatives and friends.

One Night With A Billionaire is the first book I have read by Vicki Lewis Thompson. I really enjoyed reading this novella. It was short and sweet and everything I hope for when reading a contemporary romance. Melanie has dreamed of going to Paris and when her friends both bail on the trip, she decides to go anyways. Right after arriving she is mugged and loses her backpack containing her money, credit card and phone. A handsome stranger named

And so far the little she has seen of Paris has lived up to her expectations, that is until she is mugged and her backpack where her money, credit card and cell phone are stolen. Lucky for her she meets a hero that tries to chase down her mugger and then wants to help.

For a novella, this book was cute, quick and romantic. I absolutely loved the characters, and the setting of the book. I mean who doesn't love Paris? Growing up on a ranch, Melanie Shaw always assumed she’d end up with a strong, protective cowboy someday. But upon arriving to Paris, she suffers an accident that leads her to none other than Drew Eldridge, a wealthy man whose family is very well-known in Texas. Captivated by Drew, Melani

This was a satisfying novella with likeable characters and a storyline that kept me interested. Melanie was sweet and independent, and Drew was strong and protective. I enjoyed reading about their developing relationship, and liked the chemistry between them. I'm looking forward to reading about Melanie's friends in the future.

Melanie's two best friends had to cancel on their dream vacation to Paris, but since everything was already arranged, she decided to go on her own. Almost immediately upon

This was a quick, sweet, and romantic read. There wasn’t any drama or anything trying to keep the two apart, just a true love story. You have to believe in love at first sight to truly enjoy this one. Melanie and Drew only have four days together, but it is four days in Paris with no budget. The sexual tension in the beginning is palpable and then when they do give into its hot and intense. Neither Drew nor Melanie have past issues to deal with, they have just found love where they didn’t expect ...more

Short, Sweet, and Sexy - A Perfect Novella

Novellas are a tough breed. Enough time and words to develop the characters without rushing the story to the finish line. Good pacing is needed -- if you spend too much time developing and defining, you leave little time to wrap things up and the reader feels cheated or feels that the writer gave up or cracked up under dead-line pressure.

This was a perfect balance! Melanie and Drew were lovable from the get-go. (So cute how Drew's Texan accent came tumbl

Very cute contemporary novella. It was a quick read. In Paris on her own for a trip of a lifetime Melanie is mugged just 2 hours after landing there while sightseeing. Drew comes to the rescue trying in vain to retrieve her belongings. He'd already noticed her before she became a victim & now he wants to protect her. For her safety, because he doesn't like the hotel that she's staying at he offers her one of his guest rooms. Drew becomes her official tour guide & falls hard for Melanie. ...more

First in a series that highlights three women who met at a college sorority and bonded more closely than most biological siblings. In this story a very ordinary woman who expected to marry a cowboy, much as the men in the community where she was raised, has arrived for her much anticipated trip to Paris, but now without her two friends who have had to back out for various reasons. Her encounter with an American who is "loaded" is the meat of the story, especially as she is one of those who is no ...more

Was it original? No. Did I love it? Yes. I'm not sure why it's called One Night With a Billionaire when clearly it's more like five nights, but I really liked the characters. They didn't do any of those annoying things that make me twitch while reading. They were both very much their own people and while there was some minor panic emotionally, it wasn't anything that made your eyes roll about how dumb the characters concerns were. It was very well balanced, something I haven't seen from VLT in a ...more

Although this was a short novella, Lewis Thompson did a wonderful job introducing us to the characters in this book. Hard to imagine meeting a fellow Texan in Paris, but that is exactly what happened. They fell in love fast and hard and took me on their exciting journey. I enjoyed every moment of it!

Not exactly my favorite. The second book still over the top to me, you know.

But so far, I enjoyed it. I don't think meeting a stranger in a strange country and ended up have sex with him in a matter of days really appeal to me. I mean, don't you think it's a bit dangerous? LOL, sure I know it's a fiction but still..

Overall, I enjoyed it. Can't wait to read Val's story. ;)
The Book Junkie Reads . . .
The was some genericness that I felt with the dialogue. There are points of connection and more so with the disconnect. I liked Melanie. She seemed to be a genuine woman. Honest, hardworking, and full of independence.

Sweet and short Cinderella story. I love Drew's personality because it was a refreshing change from the usual arrogant billionaire protagonists. And I love the heroine too because I can totally relate to her character.

I'm a fan of this author and I really enjoyed this story. Melanie is in Paris and it may not have started off right but she got a great tour of the city with Drew. She might be a cowgirl looking for a cowboy but I think she found something better.

This was my first book by Vicki Lewis Thompson. It was a quick, fun, romance that could have been made into a full length novel. I will be picking up the next in the series.

This was a very cute short book. It was a great one time read for me, and drew me in since it was set in the beautiful city of Paris. I'm very glad I read this book, as it was a very good one.
