Before I started reading this book, I thought it was going to be another fluffy vamp romance book - which is totally fine, I really was feeling that I needed a vamp-lovin' fix. WOW! I was totally off base there. The blurb really does not do this novel justice. Maybe it's just me, but I see "passion that erupts" and I think romance. Although this book has romantic qualities to it, I wouldn't consider it a romance. This is more of a fantasy tale of the evolving war between these two races, and ult ...more

This was a hot mess. It is not entirely without appeal, but wow there was so many characters, and I am getting dizzy right now thinking of who all was with who.

In the lead in, we get this tale about blood-bonds and how rare they are and how poorly understood, and then pretty much everyone in the book has a blood-bond and a total and perfect understanding of them.

Arianna is a totally useless piece of fluff who never accomplishes anything but looking stoic in the face of yet another humiliation,
The war between two immortal races has been going on forever. What Amiti' s are slaves locked up by the Vampire Elite. Those that are free long to end the reign of the vampires. When a new Queen arises it is the hope of the Amitit that Arianna will bring the end of the vampires. She will have to learn how to use her powers and decide what she wants to do. When you love some of the Elite it just makes the choices that much harder.

I wasn't sure what to expect out of this book when I started it. Yo

I'm not a big fan of vampire stories, but I had my eye on this book for quite some time before deciding to splurge. The premise fascinated me
Irina has brought really fresh n fantastic book as her novel.
It is definitely worth the price.
This book is my best vampire book on my shelf. Anyone who has ever loved the vampire needs to get this book!
It captures the reader from the beginning and it gets very intense. It draws you in like you are in the story.

This book was truly amazing.
It totally blew my mind!

I want to have the following instalment NOW!

An Amity Queen, a vampire king, a half amiti-half vampire princess, sexy and stormed vampires and love stories so enthralling and heartstopping you won't be able to stop reading. (or at least that happened to me XD)

It's different from what I've been reading lately, it's an adult book, and here vampires are vampires. (not that the other weren't but you know... shining and being "vegeta

"The Vampire Elite" by Irina Argo is a suspenseful, dramatic, and biographical tale of two classes of elite beings that have been engaged in a millennia-long conflict. Arianna is the queen of the Amiti race, nurturing and wise beings that can evoke the hidden compassionate qualities Sekhmi, or vampires, instinctively hide. The Amiti were cursed in their genetic fabric from their creation for two specific abilities: the power to kill Sekhmi they have bonded with

After reading Irina Argo's novel, Vampire Elite, I was genuinely left speechless by the magnificence of the book. Presently, our culture is being infiltrated with literature and films concerning a supernatural theme. However, I was pleasantly surprised that Vampire Elite is vastly different than simply another novel of this genre. In fact, Vampire Elite combines elements from an array of genres making it an irresistible page turner for members of every audience. This book eloquently includes asp ...more

Where to start with this amazing book, it's crazy how much is going while the author tells this amazing story; I just love it. I like how this story is based an ancient Egyptian legend; I am fascinated with legends. Especially the Egyptians, which why I was so excited to read this book and let me tell you, you won't be disappointed reading this book because it has more than a legends. It has romance, betrayal, action, and so much more. I just didn't know what to expect with this read and that ju ...more

This book was amazing from beginning to end. I liked how the author explained her characters in the beginning. What each one was and the purpose they portrayed in the story line. So there was no confusion. No short story here. A full length novel is what you get. Worth so much more than 5 stars. Sometimes when I read books, I get the same story with just different character. Not with this book. The author made a very unique topic. Amiti and Vampires fighting for power. Vampires show their powers ...more

I have to say that I love the way this book ended. It left me salivating fir the next book. This book takes vampires to a new level. the story is complex, the characters are intriguing, you love them one minute and end up yelling at them in the next. This story is about love and fear, and what happens when deny one emotion and allow the other to controk you. I have to admit the beginning of the story bothered me, and I was not sure I would enjoy the hook. I am glad I continued reading the story. ...more

The beginning of this book had a glossary to get you up to speed to the terms and world created in this book. I found the glossary helpful and was glad it was there, rather than overloading the reader from the start with lots of wordy and long explanations.

Vampire Elite was a fantastic read! I stayed up all night to read this, I just could not put it down!! Just when I was thinking ok now is a good time to put it down and sleep… BAM something else happened.

Honestly I have read many stories in this genre and I would have to say that this story had no major original concepts, only the details differed from hundreds of similar stories.
I absolutely loved this book.It keeps you wondering what happens next! I didn't like how it would just all of the sudden jump to the next day. It had a very good ending too.
This story is a must read. It captures the reader from the beginning and it gets very intense. It draws you in like you are in the story.

I really enjoyed reading this book.
I am a fan of the paranormal genre with vampires as a theme,
and I found that the authors’ (aka Irina Argo) version of vampires and the
Amiti is extremely refreshing and different from the version I see depicted in other novels.
The first thing I noticed about Irina Argo's "Vampire Elite" was that there were some great references to an old
Egyptian Legend within it.
Anything that has such references will get my attention right away. All things are very impressi

are you kidding me? why would it end there, and there's no release date for the next book. how am i supposed to cope? please let the next book get released soon. the more the book came to its end, the more i kept wishing it was longer, WOW.

I barely got into the first chapter and I just sort of sighed and thought this isn't for me its too serious and too complicated already. I mean complicated by my brain isn't coping with what is going on and to be honest this book isn't holding my attention enough and I haven't and will not read books I have no desire for this year like I made myself do last year. This year is the year of reading what I want.

A Vampire Novel I’ve Been Waiting For!

I can’t really explain what intrigues me about the vampire genre in film, TV, and fiction. But, I’ve been a fan since the Lost Boys days when the Coreys (Haim and Feldman) were stealing our hearts in 80’s movies. When I discovered Anne Rice, I devoured her Vampire Chronicles series book after book, often finding myself happily afraid to sleep with the lights off in my undergrad dorm room. Since then, I’ve taken the dive into the Sookie Stackhouse novels, as

VAMPIRE ELITE is the first storyline in the Vampire Elite series co-authored by the writing team of Irina Argo. The series premise is based on Egyptian legends, gods and their descendants and is packed with world building, character development and, enough betrayal and heartbreak for a lifetime let alone centuries of pain and sorrow.

The legend states that vampires were created when a goddess became enraged and the blood she trailed created a new species dependent on blood to survive.

I received a copy of Vampire Elite in exchange for an honest review!

Vampire Elite is a fun adult fantasy romance. It mixes vampire lore with ancient Egyptian gods and goddesses. The book focuses on several characters, a few different love stories and the battle between the vampires and the Amiti.

There is a lot of back story and mythology involved in Vampire Elite starting with the creation of the two races. The Amiti have effectively been reduced to bloodstock for vampires, fetching extremely hi

There are so many characters that are all interlinked, somehow. It probably doesn't help that most of the characters are hundreds, if not thousands, of years old. There are also a TON of different organizations, and divisions within those organizations, and titles of people and titles of people's relationships to others...It was very overwhelming to get all this information so quickly, and kind of difficult to keep track of all this throughout the story, especially when you're trying to recall t ...more

I was given this book for exchange of an honest review BUT I purchased it as well. Yes, this book is that good. I am not an avid reader of this genre, but it caught my attention and I could not put it down.

I am a sucker for historical reads, and this book goes into the background story of the characters. I ABSOLUTELY loved learning about the Amiti and Sekhmi. The way this story is written, it makes you really wonder if vampires and immortals do really coexist on Earth with us.

I adored this book. It is a completely fresh and unique take on vampires. I loved that the story is based on an Egyptian legend, but for some of the societies they brought in some Norse lore also. It felt very diverse and the characters were very well written. I must say that though this story is very sexually charged it doesn’t encompass the whole story. Simone is one of the most prominent sexual beings but you really don’t see that until you are almost half-way through the book. You see her lo ...more

Vampire Elite is about a war between two races the Amiti and Vampires (Sekhmet) that has been going for centuries. Vampires use Amiti blood as bloodstock as their blood possesses unique attributes that give the vampires powers (basically the Amiti can transfer their powers through their blood). Throughout the store you meet Simone (half vampire – half Amiti), Arianna (Amiti Queen), Tor (Vampire King) and various others. You are pulled into a tall wind of events leading up to one big one…whether ...more

Great Book! I really enjoyed this book. The attention to detail that Irina Argo puts into it is superb! the different species of people and their back story was amazing and I really loved the artful way this book flowed, like species on a canvas, flowing from red to blues to blacks and back again.

there were many characters and I found it a little hard to keep track of them all but Simone and her sister I think were my favourite of the characters. Sisters are a fragile relationship to begin with

The Vampire Elite starts in Ancient Egypt and explores the mythos of how vampires and immortals, known as Amiti, came to be created. You can really tell that a lot of care was given to developing the background on which this story is based. Enjoying mythology like I do, I found this tale to be entrancing and a very imaginative start to the novel. The characters live in an interesting and scary world, but one cannot help but be fascinated in what will happen next. I like that the author was able ...more

I was surprised by Vampire Elite. I don't know what I was expecting, but the epic journey I was taken on wasn't it. It was thrilling, exciting, and heartbreaking. I just finished the book, and my emotions are in turmoil. The world Irina created was so tense and fraught with danger, as well as the opinions and experiences of both groups within the story that I emotionally connected with all the characters and my heart broke along with them and their experiences.

Vampire Elite was a vampire novel like no other. Definitely not for teens, as there are some steamy scenes, but for any adult who enjoys vampire stories, this one is a hit!

So, I may not be the norm... but I don't typically enjoy these new vampire books. Vampire Elite is a refreshing take on the whole vampire genre. No pretty boy, sparkly vampires here... but hunky and strong.

This book draws you in from the first page as the rich history of the vampire's creation, action packed and unexpected twi

I'm quite a big fan of vampire stories but since the release of Twilight, I have been disappointed with the barrage of books aimed at the teeny bopper market. I was expecting the same type of vampire romance theme when I bought this book and I was pleasantly surprised to find that this story, in my opinion, is more directed to an adult audience.

The story is in-depth and quite deep so I would recommend reading it when you have some peace and quiet, so you can truly take in everything that is goin
