This story has revived my interest in reading some fantasy after abstaining for more than thirty years. The Realms of Arydd paints a society in which Dragonkind rules benevolently over human and Dragon. The safety and health of the land come first in all decisions made. Stopped mere 10 minutes into the book - the narrator was terribly monotonous and I started nodding asleep. Maybe, will give it a try in the print version.

A bit of pretentious proze

The characters are so virtuous in some parts it makes your teeth hurt. What, no faults? At all? Even the villain is more of an ideal than a fully fleshed character. However, the bare bones of the story isn't bad.

Lost myself in the world of Galddor, his apprentices and the Dragons. Applaud C. McKee on his amazing world building and story that drew me in and kept me reading into the night.

Highly recommended.
