There is now (well, there has been since the early 1990s) a second (Verso) edition - but either this or the first edition from Routledge in the early 1980s remain valuable and useful introductions to feminist film studies. As valuable as they are, however, they should only be used as introductions and ways to move on to other more recent texts that take account of other developments in both theory & method.

The version i read was the 2nd ed published London, New York : Verso, 1992.

Explains a lot of the technical jargon of feminist and psychoanalytical criticism and talks about movements and trends in studies of women’ films. More readable and useful than most in this area. A basic book.
