The story stared dry, but once I got into the rhythm of the language, I became engaged in the story. It was very unusual, different from things I've read before. Kind of adventure, kind of new-world building, kind of romance. Toward the end, it dried up a bit again, and I was never a fan of the main character, or the love interest at the end, as we just get so little of her throughout the actual story. Still worth a read.
