Liberty Montgomery is many things:

A dutiful daughter.
Perfect wife-in-training.
Easy to manipulate.
Compliant.

But secretly she wants more.

For years, Liberty has dreamed of a life filled with opportunities—a life where she makes the decisions, living by her own rules. Unfortunately, her parents have other plans for her, ones that involve her submission and total obedience. Eve

Initial reaction: This is going to be a long expansion in the full review, but I'm honestly disappointed in how juvenile and false this narrative came across. Not to mention it pretty much trivialized everything from rape/sexual assault to mental illness and put it all in some chick-lit-ish cute bow just so that the heroine finally grew some buns of steel close to the end of the book to tell her controlling parents the word "no." And all in the measure of a bad boy who just so conveniently happe ...more

description

I have to be 100% honest here, I was expecting a 'fluff romance'. Now, to me, there is NOTHING wrong with a fluff romance. There are times where that was exactly what the Doctor ordered. I couldn't have been farther from the truth when it came to Loving Liberty. It was far deeper, more emotional, and darker than anything I had anticipated. I loved each and every moment, and wanted (oh-so-badly) to jump into the pages and help corrupt Liberty a bit.

I have followed and read each and every book from Belinda Boring. She has never failed to capture me in each and every one. She is an author that oozes romance. She tells a story for the tenderness and emotions, not panty-ripping fierce sex. This is why her fans have dubbed her the “Queen of Swoon".

I have just finished her best book to date, Loving Liberty. This is a New Adult Contemporary with a storyline not blogged down by sex. It is an eloquently told story of a girl named Liberty Montgomery

Can I just say WOW! The "Queen of Swoon" has certainly earned another jewel in her crown with her first New Adult offering. Loving Liberty will take you on a emotional ride that will resonate long after the last page is turned. Have the tissues handy and prepare to forget about the rest of the world, Loving Liberty is one of those rare reading experiences where not even the Zombie apocalypse could drag you away from the page.

Boring has a natural flair for characterisation and scene setting. Rig

Lots to take in, in this bookie. First, Oliver is just a sweetheart, "well, I have this strict policy that I never let pretty girls drink things that make them cringe. So please, for me, is there anything else I can get you? Maybe something from the bar?" Next, is the fact Liberty's family is completely nuts. Like seriously how can people treat their kids like possessions and not a human being, it's books like this that make me grateful that I had a chance to do my own thing and make mistakes, L ...more

This is a book that will stick with you and make you appreciate life and all the choices it brings....

Wow! I just finished this book and I am completely blown away by the utter rawness the Author brings to the table. From the moment I opened the book I was sucked in and living Liberty's life.

The book is about a young woman who is controlled by her family. She is stuck going to fancy parties and has all decisions made for her.... including a husband. When Andrew "the one -per her parents" takes

WOW - this was such an AWESOME book!!!

Let me start by saying, When you start reading this book, make sure you have plenty of time set aside to read because you will NOT want to put this book down!!!

Liberty is 21 years old and a member of a wealthy family. And as some wealthy families sometimes are - what her parents say goes!!
Liberty is a very obedient daughter and tries to do everything that is asked of her.

Woah! How in the world can a book be so sexy without the sex? It baffles my mind but it's possible. Trust me, it just happened! And my reading rut...gone! This book had me all sorts of worked up. Poor Liberty was so sheltered and living the way her parents wanted her to live. I felt the urge to hug her and make everything okay. Cue Oliver and I was just as enthralled by him as she was. He was a man with a past not much different than her own. Difference is, he's living his life and she isn't.

I don't know where to start with telling you how fabulous this book is! It swooped right in and made a home in my heart. The story personally touched me and I never related so much to a book the way I did with this one. The characters are so wonderfully written that the reader instantly can connect with them. We feel Liberty's suffocation to her world. The pain, the tight leash around her it's all so exact and full of emotion. I loved watching her grow and come to find herself and her strength t ...more

I absolutely fell in love with Oliver and Liberty. I felt myself drawn into their relationship the more I read. Belinda has the ability to put the reader right into her stories. I found myself wanting to jump into the book and knock the crap out of her sister and shake her mom and dad. I think if ever given the choice to have Liberty's family verses not having one at all, I would live alone.

It was a pleasure watching Liberty grow and find herself, the troubles she experienced along the way help

Loving Liberty…I have had so many feelings about this book. Good feelings! I had to take notes of how I felt at at times while reading because I had so many emotions going through my mind it was almost impossible to keep up with my own thoughts. I’m not lying. Amazing read! I don’t know anyone personally that has or is going through the same situation as Liberty, but after reading this book I’m grateful my parents were nowhere close to what Liberty’s parents are like. I was given an ARC copy for my honest review, I have to say this was more a 4.5 star book for me. This story was really good and it gives you a look into a young lady's life that is completely and utterly controlled. I have to admit at first Liberty absolutely drove me insane because I couldn't understand how someone who was 21 years old could allow their parents to control everything they do. I don't even know how to put into words how amazing this book is. I couldn't put this book down. Belinda Boring has done a great job with this book and I am glad I had the pleasure of receiving an advanced ARC to read.

Liberty is a 21 year old woman and is part of a high class family. In her family what her parents say goes. She is to be obedient and do everything they say to include marry who they say. During an event she meets a waiter named Oliver. Oliver is the sweetest most caring guy ever.

In Loving Liberty we meet 21 yr old Liberty Montgomery, a young woman who wants to experience life on her terms. Since birth, her upper crust snooty socialite parents have controlled every aspect of her life; the classes she took whether in school or extracurricular, what friends she had (had to make sure they were of “proper” social class) what college she went to and major and her mother still chooses every piece of clothing in her wardrobe. Mother also chooses who she dates, and the “proper” ...more

If only there were an Oliver for everybody...

Liberty is a twenty one year old who has spent her whole life playing the good dutiful daughter. Wearing the right clothes, acting the right way and dating the 'right' guys. She's always ached to do and be more. Her parents are stifling and snub their noses to those beneath them. Her sister is just like them, if not worse because she's down right evil.

Fortunately for Liberty one evening she meets Oliver that helps to change the course of her life. Oli

Belinda touched my soul with this book. She showed me through her writing that we have wings and can fly and make our own lives and not count on someone else, though with help it is possible.

I am not usually a fan of contemporary romance but this book has changed that. Once I started reading Loving Liberty I did not put it down until I was finished. The title is perfect for this book because once you start reading Liberty's story you will definitely love her.

Unlike her name, Liberty feels like she has no freedom at all in this contemporary coming-of-age novel. Caught between her overbearing parents, her conniving sister and societal expectations of a young woman of her position, she sees herself being forced into a narrow boxed-in life. This is the story of how she attempts to climb out of the box before the lid is fastened in the form of an arranged marriage to a man who is even more controlling than her whole family put together. Oh my!! This was a very entertaining read!! I fell instantly in love with Oliver. His character was charming and supportive.
