Still a good read but in this book the author committed the worst writing crime in my view anyway he started to explain the back story like I’ve not read the rest of the series, now if your one of those people who just jumps into a series anywhere & don’t understand what is happening the author shouldn’t be explaining the back story for those very few odd boss that do this!!!!!
For me it is taking up priceless space for the story to just flow & carry on.
The author has commit another crime in this book and I know he has another series the Chronobots which I personally am thrilled about but in this series Hardy has gone now and I am devastated I adore his character and will miss him big time so will rush the series now so I can go start Hardy’s series!
Ever since I began reading, "Science- Fiction Comic Books" (in the 1950s..) I grew to hate, "Cliff Hanger Endings!" Not Only because I'd have to wait Months for the author to release the next issue.. *Nor, did I mind the number of Empty Pop-Bottles I'd need do find, & return for deposit, (at the going rate of 2-cents per bottle!) to purchase the 10 cents needed for the next addition. But, The Main reason was, "Teasing Readers !" That SUCKED to me at the age of 10.. & Still Sucks at the age of 73!
I don't remember when time travel became relevant to this series, but given I'm reading book 7 and I rarely enjoy time travel as a premise, then I can only assume it was in the last book or 2 I managed to read 20% of this book and gave up. The whole redo history with time travel concept has been done to Death, rarely well and in this case badly It's sad, I have a lot invested in this series and a lot with the author, but I can't continue with this, it's that poor
Fantastic series! If you you're a syfi, JN Chaney, or LMBPN publishing fan you'll love these books. This is a awesome series with ups and downs that keep you coming back for more. I powered through all 7 on Kindle Unlimited and just couldn't stop reading them. I can't believe it's over... There's so much I want to know! Please don't stop now! Keep the good books coming
I had enjoyed this series up until this book. The suddenly and poorly introduced time travel plot was a huge disconnect for me and with it fresh in mind feels like it ruined the series. I hear Hardy will be getting his own spin-off series and maybe in time I will give that a try, but I think I'm done with the Hamilton books and any other books in this universe that time travel becomes a part of. Two and a half stars.
I’m not going to write an analysis of this book which would spoil your experience, but if you enjoy the military sci-fi genre, you would be foolish not to read this series. It tumbles thru one challenge after another engaging such that you can’t put it down. The characters and circumstances are both surprising and deeply textured creating a three dimensional world to get lost in.
If anything I'd say this story gets too complex. You are not just facing one or two major problems, when ten more pop up, and these are not just small problems! They are life and death. Time warps. Alternate universe type problems. Something you don't see every day. Oh, and 300-year-old robots with a person inside!
Loved the entire series. Irreverent, exciting, and always entertaining from 1 thru book 7. Action, adventure, thrilling space battles, and of course, great cast of characters. Can’t wait to see what mischief Hardy gets into.
It's been a good series but this time travelling in it has gotten a little weird. What your allowed or not. Another thing that bugged me is a character who just seemed to disappear otherwise it might have got another star.
If you enjoy western adventures spiced with humor and fast moving sci fi action, then you do not want to miss this series. Mark Mcginnis weaves a very entertaining story.
Once again we find captain Quinus and his crew fighting against the odds. But this time he has two other ships and crew to help. Can he once again pull everyone out of the fire.
Great conclusion to an excellent sci-fi series. Full of intrigue and adventure that will keep your interest. The characters are awesome. I really like this book and I highly recommend it.
Good book with lots of twists and turns. It alternates between relatively short periods of action and longer setups to the action. The dual story lines was a bit distracting, and as Captain Pristy's moved slowly for much of the book.
A great read. Love the characters. The action is fast paced, even if my eyes gloss I've during the technical discussions! This is my second time reading this series. Just as good the second time. Looking forward to the next book.
As much as I have enjoyed this series (and it has been great- action, mystery, and comical at times), I can not wait to read the Chronobot series. I love Hardy!
Fun read , great story. Another great installment in the story. Definitely left me hanging at the end . Will have to wait to see what happens to Hardy !.
Great story telling with lots of twists and turns! The author finishes the one story but leaves you hanging for the next one. Seven of Seven and all great reads!
Good reading. A lot of twist and turns in it. Would recommend it to anyone. Interested in syfi readings. Kept me trying to suppose where the author would go next.
